Hey all, I finally decided on an ID for my new DBSS at Centrale at Tampines in last month. It was so tiring seeing one after another but I learnt a lot from my experiences and decided to choose this ID as she was earnest, knowledgeable and willing to take on my demands. Most importantly, very responsive. Also, their price was not the cheapest but the most reasonable and recommended me things that are not the most expensive but most suited to my case. I won't recommend them till my works are completed just to make sure. Will update as works progress. I've done up a rough calculation and here's a update on the total cost for my whole reno. Initial Reno quote - $19k (excluding electrical point cost) Final Reno quote - $22,020.00 (Including electrical cost, added tv console and misc stuff) No matter how careful or detail you are, things will be missed out, hence it's best to give yourself some buffer, if you're on a tight budget like me. Furniture - $14,800 (Aircon, fridge, sofa, tv, ceiling fan, misc ect) I was like 7-8k off estimation for this part.. haha.. many items missed out or end up paying more than my targeted budget. Total cost - $36,800 It was quite close to my budget, probably overshot by a few k. Hope it can be of a little guidance to help you do your budgeting. Have been living in for a few weeks now, everything is good. Love the big fridge! Spend 1.4k on that fridge, could have easily gotten a 2 door under $900, probably 1 of the few items that i insisted I want to have XD Overall, I feel it's a nice experience, wouldn't mind doing it again lol

I think it wouldn't matter to most people, LOL But I'm a tech guy and a gadgets guy, so I do a mental tour around the house and think about what I want to put where, and what I want to use where Quite alot of those power points are going towards powering these,

Do some of you have the same experience? We started to do odd things like touching the wood laminate at Burger King and counting the number of LED bulbs of a track light at a clothing shop's display. It is like once we start embarking on the reno journey, we tend to pay attention to how shops do their lighting, what laminate and materials do shopping malls use to achieve a certain look? Just wondering if other people also do that or it is just us being really weird. Or maybe while walking past nicely decorated cafes, you will take a second look at their table and chairs and might be able to guess where they might have gotten it from. Maybe we are too crazy. LOL Anyway, we just collected our Relite fans from Tai Yong today. The smaller 36" one looks so cute beside the 48" version! They use the same motor, only the blades are of different sizes., Also our Tecno SR128SV and Fujioh NL 900 are delivered! Can't wait to see all of them being installed!

Not so sure about the ranking. From what I have gathered, Guan Yin always sits in the middle flanked by the Taoist deities. Should there be only two deities on the altar, then the Taoist deity should always be on Guan Yin's left side. The right side is reserved for the ancestral tablet.
