Hi I just got my keys to my unit and we're anxious about getting it renovated. However, i've always heard scary stories about overcharging and poor workmanship etc... It doesn't make it better to have spoken to 2 contractors and i could sense that they were more about fleecing me off, hence i decided to get piecemeal quotations on my own to validate the price. I'm on renovation loan like many of us, so i hope i'm paying the right price for it. Help me, let me know if the pricing i'm getting is reasonable! I don't want to pay too low and get slipshod work too. 1. Lighting Points - $30 ea 2. Single Socket - $45 ea 3. Double Socket - $55 ea 4. Instant Heater Installation - $50 5. Hood/Hob/Oven Point - $80 ea 6. Telephone Point - $50 ea 7. SCV Point - $90 ea 8. SCV/Data/Power Loose Wire Extension for TV Console - $30 ea 9. Data Point - $90 ea 10. Downlight Installation - $10 ea 11. Ceiling Light Installation - $20 ea 12. Wall Fan Installation - $20 ea 13. Ceiling Fan Installation - $25 ea Hope to have your advice!

Hi Bro, so happy that you got all your LED from the supplier I recommended you. You really made a wise decision. My own brother also regret getting those cheaper LED before his renovation. After he saw mine, he changed all his LED from Gary. And yes, he replaced all his 16 down lights after just 8 months purchasing from someone "boasted' his items quality but lights starts to flicker very soon. Thanks for supporting my Blog, and again, I will only share good quality items and those I felt not worthwhile I would not even mention. All the best bro!!!! Enjoy your new environment

Please check your house throughly. We had this problem before. In the end we found out that these are related to termites. Our bedroom and bathroom are infested by termites. We get the pest control to get rid of it. They told us the light flies are related to the termites. And true enough, after that there's no more flies anymore. What a relief!

Thanks PTopaz. I think the problem is paint doesn't stay on aluminium window frames/grilles very well I'm told. It is possible to paint over it but the colour may look very ugly, and it's quite easy to come off. Don't know the extent to which it is true but that's what we've been told leh. It's camera illusion! The sink is only about 700 mm wide and 220 mm deep as pictured below. Not as big as the kraus sink from Amazon for sure, but at least it's cheaper and I like the fact that the drainage hole plate is square instead of the usual round ones!

Hi Janetan...while this forum is for sharing....I will like to stress again on 'responsible sharing'. Share it only if you have completed the work with your recommended Mr Pang. i'm sorry, but the group of electricians that i have been earnestly trying to warn-off from renotalk, work exactly the same way your posts are going. There is no need for you to be so eager to recommend your electrician to people when u only meet up with Mr Pang and not start the work yet. These bogus electricians are sweet talkers and nobody will suspect there are cheats until the 1st payment is done. And out of 10 customers, they will choose to serve 2 customers well, and the remaining 8, they will either leave the work undone, incomplete, and for the worst unlucky few, they will dissapear after collection of 1st deposit. Then the 2 customers who are served well, will come into this forum and continue recommending these electricians. This cycle goes on and on... They have numerous accounts on renotalk, some pretending to be satisfied customers, some pretending to be asking for contacts just to populate their threads, self advertising etc. again to all, take recommended contacts with your eyes wide open.

I get abit skeptical when i see newbies suddenly introducing electricians into this forum. Not to hijack your thread..but I will like to highlight and share again to all forumers that there has been cases of bogus electricians hanging around this forum. I will encourage people to be more alert when taking contacts and recommendations in this forum. other than that...i wish good luck to all and hope your renovations proceed smoothly.
