My reno was abt 18K-19K excluding furnishings... the bay windows laminates already cost few hundreds per room and there are 3 bedrooms, and i customized my bed, sidetables, 2 feature walls+tv consoles, feature wall behind masterbedroom room, study room shelves and table... i think overall quite value for money...

Yah! i just saw yesterday at Plaza Sing Daiso... too small for me... I'm organizing my hubbys and my trophies and medals... Queue @ Daiso also becoming very very long... =( Thanks for your suggestion! Daiso has pretty nice stuff I must say, and cheap! =)

Hey chixchix, i bought my carpets from Courts (upper bukit timah) you can take a look! selection is not the most fantastic but I could find what i want. not sure what kind of designs u are looking for but i was looking for quite plain ones and they have it. Reasonable prices I feel.

i'm not really sure if the ones i bought are shaggy- they are kinda the shorter hair kind (hubby has sensitive nose =p) of carpets. but i bought mine from Courts (upper bukit timah) and they had 20% discount. one was 1.6 by 2.3m for around $100 and 1.2 by 1.6m for around $56. (after discount) feels soft and comfortable for now... and when i pull the hair it doesn't shed... hope it stays that way.

Hi, I bought my lights from Vlux (Geylang) and Light Craft (Jalan Besar). Had good experience and positive impressions of both the places. Customer service is excellent. Light Craft pricing is very reasonable too and their range is really wide. Maybe you can take a look

I'm looking forward to moving in! heh Are you buying furniture and all too? hanging clothes on the balcony ah: the security told one of my neighbours tht they went to tell the owner and one owner told them it is his house so hes free to do whatever he wants inside. OK LOR... theres nothing we can do abt it also... beware: this is a ranting post- so BARANG BARANG just called me up 2 days they are supposed to deliver my dining set and sofa to tell me that my dining chairs are out of stock. since it's their fault, they are willing to lend me 4 chairs. I've told them i'll find a dining set somewhere else and get them to refund me the whole cost of my dining set. great, now i got to go shopping again and i thought i was done. Argh. for this kind of screw ups...

eat alot of boiled vegs... no rice/carbs... more steamed/boiled meat... drink soupy stuff... exercise alot!!!

Thanks! saw the design from a magazine and asked ID for recommendations! It's not too bad, my total renovations only about $19K or so for all the carpentry work... excluding electrical works. How is ur renos coming along?
