Anyway tomorrow, Ah Soon going start laminating my IL place. Saw laminate sitting at the recess area, brand is called "ace floor", nvr heard of it before...forgot to ask Ah Soon when he came what brand of laminate he is using. Anyone home is using this brand too?

Anyway been nearly a month since Ah Soon started reno on my IL place, his promised deadline of 2 weeks is way far off.. If he working for govt, think he will kena liquidated damages till siao. Initially, my In law will always call to scold him on slow reno progress, now reno progress has speeded up..even sun oso the workers were working 2. Hope can finish by this week, workmanship so far see not bad.

Wow,nvr visit this thread 4 few days it got so interesting. I tink enuf have been said and forummers who are renovating their unit at present or in the future are smart enuf to decide for themselves whether ah soon or any other contractor is è 1 for them. Wah, very sian..my mother in law called me earlier to inform me the 2 workers, china worker & the skinny uncle got into a fierce quarrel till the uncle carry hammer & scream vulgarities at the china worker till she so scared. Lucky never got into a fight. Then the uncle tell my MIL dat tomorrow he will be working alone, means slower progress.workmanship wise its good. Ah Soon promise my Inlaws 2 weeks finish everything, now 2 weeks has passed & common toilet & kitchen havnt even completed. Still got masterbedroom toilet, window grilles & living & dining room laminate not done. ILs patience wearing thin, i feel bad coz I was the 1 who recommended him to them. Anyway, I still don't mind considering Ah Soon for my home future reno as cost & workmanship is more important to me than time taken(but not too long ah).

Hmm..my neighbours oso doesnt seem so friendly..95% of the time they lock door & windows. Even my immediate next door neighbour, except during rare moment when my neighbour open door, he will talk to me.

They injecting fear into u ah..nothing to worry.. 50+ years old liao behave like gangster... Juz report police lor..u tell police u scared & fear for your life.. or on the other hand, juz charge him rental ah if u got place to stay,give him some leeway..if no place to stay..then too bad...kick him out.

Update...inlaw reno progress seriously at snail's pace.. if my vacant house i dont mine... the dust affecting my in laws & baby... IL complain to Ah Soon when he came over today, dunno wat action he will take. other than dat..no other complain.

Reno works past 2 days, 2 guys working on it...so not so bad... My SIL was tellin me yday the skinny uncle informed her he gg for Lunch at nearly 1pm. So my SIL spoke to him in broken mandarin " wah so late go 4 lunch ah?". Then the uncle look at the clock & go off, he came back 15mins later, tar pao cold drinks and continue working. She felt paiseh, mayb uncle mistakenly heard her say come back from lunch asap. Ya, anyway about uncle is he is tested & proven...i juz hope he be around when I wanna do reno works on my EM.

Generally, Ah Soon customers also not worried whether he licensed or not..at least a licensed contractor carrying out the work. Im not sure what is his relationship with the firm.. but he always tell us to pay him based on his work done. So not too worried he run away with our $$. So far, any problems i highlighted to him..he has rectified, heard he oso do rectification works for HDB?

Another day with the same worker turn up for work in my inlaw place...6th out of 14th day. As expected, progress is slow..how much can 1 worker do in a day... I pity the uncle worker, so skinny already, nvr take lunch and have to ask him take a break. haiz..sian.continue like dat, 2 months oso not enough.

He promised my inlaw will finish reno in 14 working days...today is 5th out of 14 days.. Past few days, only 1 skinny uncle came & he been cementing the toilet again...he took out some tiles & place in kitchen..mayb 2moro start tiling the common toilet. Kitchen , after it was hacked, nothing is done...masterbed room toilet, not done yet coz waiting for common toilet to be ready,laminate on dining,living room, window grilles no action. I tink if at this rate, 1 month oso not enough...i grumble coz causing great inconvenience..imagining whole family 8 person sharing 1 toilet/bath room everyday. Last time my own parents home do reno..got at least 2-3 workers working on my house everyday... Anyway i called AH Soon 2 hours back, he promise to send additional worker up 2moro..

2day is 4th day of inlaw partial reno.work done so far. -hacked kitchen tiles,common toilet tiles and floor,tear up kitchen surface. I find progress very slow leh,like 2day 1 uncle showed up and for whole day he was cementing up the toilet walls. No other works done. Isit normal?

For me, I always want to buy an EM..like a childhood dream, was always fascinated with people staying in EM. Although my wife dont like EM..haha, she gave in coz location was good, corner & top floor EM..like pent house aredy. Pple always say EM hard to sell etc, but im sure there are alot of EM lovers out there who appreciate since EM stop production aredy. but my only grouse is the room and kitchen on the 1st floor is too small. I was planning to convert the room to an old folks kinda sleeping or praying area, esp those who might have problem climbing up the stairs.

2day start renovation on my IL place, Ah Soon pasted the letter on HDB renovation tingey..i saw on the letter contractor ID is from upper paya lebar road, seems like HDB unit num..hmm..wierd.dun hav chance to ask him.

Wat im saying is when some1 gets too popular, sure get critic...ah soon customers oso knoes, b4 any1 employs him, they aredy warn him of his short comings.

He got company & of coz got license la..do so many reno works liao but his name & reputation like bigger than his own company... forgot wat his coy name..the quotation got state..

Well, im not really a supporter of Ah Soon but im a supporter of "want cheap, want good, want best"..whoever can intro me such contractor better than ah soon...definitely i will go for it.. Ah Soon customers have posted their pics of his works, not bad....at least for the price they have paid. I believe his popularity here have caused some "red eyes" here...i knoe sooner or later there will be someone to put him down. but the supporters of ah soon is oso not blind or stupid, ah soon dun give them $$ or wat to support him,they oso have gone thru IDs and contractors b4 sticking to Ah soon..they are happy with wat they got for the price they paid.so be it..no need put pple down.. there is no such ting as best contractor in sg..sure got some gd or bad in them. so any contractor better than ah soon.
