I oso had 2 switch to chinese & hokkien mode when meeting him. Feel like buying a cheap English to Chinese translator machine. Saw those china students using it in school. Yday noon, Ah SOon flew my 1st aeroplane.. he suppose come pass some samples to my inlaw but nvr came..hehe.i expected it coz i nvr call to remind him. He has been good previously, not only no aeroplane but came on time.. So called him this morning, he say will come down this afternoon to pass the samples.

THink im quite lucky, so far call him using my hp he always answer. I even got missed calls of him when he call me wen I was riding my bike...but when I call him using home phone or wat, call several times oso he wont answer...hehe. Juz talk to him juz nw, he say gg JB for wedding and be back 2moro nite...my IL house he say can even start work on Mon...hmm..but my IL say wait 1st, want him come coz they want to make a few changes.

Im not sure wats the shop name.. Uncle juz scribbled 2 names in chinese & 2 hp nums. He juz tell me tis is tiles shop, another 1 is bathroom accessories. My IL went...

Hehe....I hope he still be able to direct my reno, by time i wanna renovate. Maybe he already delegate down to his kar kia aredy. I asked him 4 recommendation on tiles or bathroom accessories, he gimme 2 names 2 call. In law went down to the shop. I nvr go down ah.... I juz became a fan of ah soon group...really nice reno. Im wondering sometimes how to convey the designs I want to him. Sometimes pic might not illustrate wat I want too. He already took the floor plan & a copy of my IL IC. I ask him whether to pay deposit 1st or not, he say no, dont pay so easily. I do the work 1st & u pay accordingly. He told me 2day will send the quotation 2 my IL 2 sign..knowing him, mayb not 2day,muz chase him later i guess. He also went to show me a flat nearby he was renovating but cant see much except tiling works was completed.

In 1 day,we met 2 contractors.was worried wen è 1st contractor like draggin 4 nearly 2hours and tryin make my father in law sign. Was worried coz ah soon waiting,scared he ciao.end up i went to c a house he was renovating nearby,very nice guy.smoking and chit chat 2gether.hehe. He went view,took note of wat we wanted.gave quotation on è spot in half hr and it was cheaper by 5k than a well known contractor quote.my father in law love him so much.he close deal on spot and was arranging wit him when can start reno. Havnt even meet mr yeak.was suppose meet him nex week.

Im also trying get him to reno my Father in law house. Called him a few times, seems like he is extremely busy type. Late nite oso at customer's home discussing about quotation. Think this forum has given him alot of business. Since so many good comments about him, think hard to go wrong. Its just a matter of getting hold of him.

Called 2 well known contractors in renotalk, Mr Yeak & Ah Soon.coz my In law wanna do some renovation on the unit but problem is the family is still staying there wen renovation is gg on. Both contractor warn dat its gonna be messy & dirty. Ah Soon - Seems super bz, called him at 11pm & he still at some customer place discussing quotation but he did called me back later. "arranged" with me to come down tomorrow noon. Really wonder will he come down or not coz he seem like got alot of appointment. He ask me confirm again later. Don't dare tell my inlaw because they are those who will honour appointments type & b pissed if kena "play out". Then just now called him again, ask him whether he can come dwn 2nite, he say he try but very bz. Say will call back again. I really wonder does he know who I am..haha. Mr Yeak - Seems more organised, say next week then free. Ask me leave an sms with address. So he can arrange a time to come down quote.

After 2nd appt, legally unit is yours aredy. Its the seller's fault. You can be nice, let them stay for free for 1st month or something. Or charge them rental, nominal or market rate. Or be nasty, chase them out.

I was recceing around for aircon last weekend, carrefour was having offer on portable aircons. It appeared in the papers. 7000 BTU portable aircon (enough for cooling a room) was selling ard $399, free delivery provided but not installation ($45). Brand is "Tempt" never heard before... They do have bigger capacity aircon like 9k BTU or 11,000 BTU selling like 2-300 more, seems quite powerful. Im not sure why they call it portable aircon, coz you need to have an outlet for the hot air to blow out. Then the technician need to do customise your window, from what i see, its almost similar to window casement unit kinda installation. You cant push it around..

So major meh..need 2 hire pest company? Maybe can DIY & monitor before you call the pest coy. I hired them coz they provided a cheap quote compared to the rest, quite helpful, then the technician who came down was very knowledgeable. Its always better to compare prices at a few shops for comparison. I made the same mistake as u but not as expensive as urs, the price i bought was like slightly more exp by 10-20 & the labour charge was exorbitant. If i were u, i wld screw the ID deep deep, demand he gimme more discount for the works done.

1 occupant only? saw like got wedding pic in 1 of the room with alot of cap. Besides the stuff lying around the house, the bedroom, living room & kitchen looks good.

Hmm..then last time where your dad stay? He sold his own home? Assuming he got no CPF or cash to buy a house, it seems heartless to tell him get his own house. At his age, think he juz need companionship and to take care of him. Your new step mother can help take care of the house too.

Not really, personal preference.. Like me..prefer resale because, 1)much bigger, bigger rooms 2)got grant 3)Readily available amenities 4)Can choose where you want to stay 5)Flats and units are spaced out wider, not like new flats. You can see & smell wat the next block neighbour is eating 6)Got open carpark- I totally love open carpark. 7) etc

Hmmm..not too sure about wat is etopic pregnancy.. when my wife was pregnant, in 1st trimester, gynae told us my wife have 2 big cysts..but she say the cysts might burst or grow bigger. She will have to monitor...but never mention about removing the ovaries... Thank god the cyst dissapear during the pregnancy..

Crucifer - I think u back out better, most to most lose 2k OTP..Then u go buy ur resale flat..not really worth tying yourself to something which has not even been built & cost so much when property prices are expected to drop so much. How to buy resale from the unit?its less than a year old.. The last time HDB released a few units for sale in the last ballot..maybe the next round HDB will release a few more.
