anyway, ours is illegal to conceal. Just have to paint the same colours and after 1 month, you don't see it anymore.

Congrats! Seems like a lot of Bishaners lately. Big household you got there too, 6 people. What is the floor space? Seems pretty big with 4 bedrooms.

Upp Boon Keng very near Jalan Besar, easy to shop for sanitary fittings. Genova, Poh Joo all there. Agree with mrspiglet that if you already have an idea what you want, you might just want to explore going for contractor direct. After all, IDs also have their own "comfort zone" in terms of style. Most of these "IDs" can only do modern and/or resort. Nothing else. So victorian look as them to design... might as well do yourself. Anyway, for Darwin, my upstairs neighbours use Kelvin (or Kevin). They are pretty happy with it. We complained about some things falling from our ceiling he also come and take a look and seems to be a pretty responsible guy. So you might want to consider him if you are thinking of Darwin.

Mm... I believe yours should be exposed electrical wires ba... since HDB only recently have some concealed wirings. Exposed and concealed have very big price difference due to the work involved. I think since the quotes obtained were 9.5k and 7k, it should be around there. But better to get the electrician to see your place and confirm the quote rather than wait for rebates since it is not in the contract.
-
For Eubiq, check out www.eubiq.com. Actually, since the wiring is concealed, maybe the quote is not that expensive since to remove, need to hack and make good. Then if need to run again, also need to hack and conceal. Then if includes setting up lighting points and installation of lights, that is worth another 1-2k.

really ah? I only been to Hafary, didn't go Sin Lek, so don't know the difference. Tuesday going over to my place so will take picture and share. I got one now but had to use flash so cannot really see the grooves.
-
hey, i got the same master wall bathroom tiles for my common bathroom. Looks the same but not sure whether the same or not. $3 psf at Hafary. Initially wanted the grooves to run vertical so no need to scrub so much, but the tiler put 6 tiles already looks a bit weird so run it horizontal instead... we havent decided who will scrub.

welcome! Nice square layout. How old is it? Older flats seems to have this "hand written" floor plan.

FYI on Gain City, my parents purchase extended warranty from them but everytime they come for repair (3x already), they will need to take the warranty card back. And then need to call many times for them to send it back to you. Nothing wrong but very funny procedure. Anyway, keep a photocopy of the warranty for reference.

ya! Nice and big space very challenging layout. Whole living room is 15 meters wor Mine is also same like yours, 4 bedroom. First thing I did was to hack the wall between the kitchen and the study so have a bigger kitchen! But you lose one room la. How old are your gals?

Agree that Poh Joo sometimes the service can be quite bad, especially the aunties. From experience, speak Mandarin with them gets better results.

me installing ceiling fans too... had a long discussion with my engineer friends on which one better... 3 blade vs 5 blade.... near the ceiling vs pole, then how to have the lights so as not to make it dizzy.... a lot of brain cells man...

love your daughter's room! What's the colourful starry thing? I am using silvermink a lot for my place too. Aircon trunking, usually try and run under beams and behind pillars but some cases cannot like the one with your door frame. If run under, might get in the way

Delivery Man: Deliver already, morning go already. Melvin: Really, deliver to who? Delivery Man: This woman lor. Melvin calls customer. Melvin: My delivery man say send the goods to you this morning already. A lady receive it. Customer: Eh, I am not married, there is no woman in my house. Melvin: Oh, ok. Melvin calls delivery man. Delivery Man: But I deliver already leh. Melvin: Where are you now? Delivery Man: Bukit Batok Melvin: Finish delivery already? Delivery Man: Finish. Melvin: You go over NOW to the place. Go find the woman you deliver the goods to. Then take back from her. Then deliver to the right place.

mm... neighbourhood shops not sure about installation leh.... don't want to have cheap cheap initially and then keep having to fix leaking issues. That's why maybe go with Hong T*r since their installation seems to be very well done according to all reviews. hihi, me not in yellow building la. Only my wife. Wife knows jeremylm but not me. Previous house we got from Jimmy Textiles for curtains so probably will just go with them again.
-

Hehe... ya... just hope it goes well lor.... i think should be ok la. Ya... starting to shop but a bit busy... so not shopping around but more of surfing around and then hit those recommended shops. Thats why bugging people like Angel for contact and shops... Aiyah, you all say like that... maybe I don't even need to polish the marble tiles... save $1.5k.... will go and look at the condition again. Ya... actually think around 10k ba because the area is pretty big. Not sure about nice nice things... spending quite a bit (40k on reno) but like still a lot of things to be done! Aiyah, as long as comfortable home can already... size not impt. My place is actually near St Nicks (within 1km)... ave 3 and 10 cannot afford... hehe. But same situation as you, my mum in law taking care of my daughter so need to move near her.
