Not long. I will be at the unit from 2.30pm today if you would like to pop around. Meeting Marcus for our weekly walk around the unit and then a little later at around 3pm or so, Andrew my window installer will come by to update me on what's to be done next. Windows have been installed and w/ship is quite good. Some minor tweaking required. Grills will be next. The place is in a mess. Painting starts on Monday and then from Thurs onwards installation of carpentry. Some carpentry has been delivered. The work is quite fast.No major complaints yet. Lights will be installed on 6 June.

A sales person told me that inductionand gas cooking about the same. Only it takes a little longer for induction to heat up. Also the running cost for electricity for induction is very high. Don't shoot the messenger.

My handover allegedly on 21 June, so a 6+ weeks process. From what I can seein the dim light at night: 1. Wet works completed 2. Major electrical completed 3. Major ceiling works completed 4. Major aircon truncking etc completed 5. New windows installed Next week from Mon to Wed painting will beging. Following which the next 2 weeks will be installation of carpentry, showers screens etc. Now need to check on aupicious time for symbolic and actual move in date.

Ely, wow,lots of drama with your reno. Hope it gets better soon. Imo you need to be more assertive. My ID and his team don't dare try to delay the project or come up with any carp excuses for poor execution. They know I will gouge their eyeballs out. They also know that what they utimately deliver is a reflection on the quality that their company's brand and reputation. My ID does not allow eating, smoking or drinking in the unit. I am however a little more flexible. I will allow it until the painting stage. Don't serve them mate. I just buy cartons of mineral water and leave out for them. Hang in there.

Did this for my place before. Just boxing up and painting. I am not sure if the adhesive will hold the tile to the gypsum board / plywood in the long term.

To be fair to Angeline and to Intradesign, her quote was definately not 10K more ex than other quotes. This is just a misconception. I did not use her in the end as we were more comfortable dealing with my current ID purely on a communication basis but the point is her pricing overall is fair. Nice office they have as well.
