bought these lights at $45 each. shop owner said these lights are from Italy. Willing to let go for $30 per light. And I have 2 black lighting tracks. a 1M & 2M. Can't remember the price but willing to let go for $10 for the 1M track & $15 for the 2M track. All items are self collection at my place. -

almost a week at my new place but packing still on-going. ordered 2 more items for the house (and buying still continues). was worried initially if a standing fan could fit into this house but phew.. it does look ok. bought this papa-lookalike chair (but it isn't a papa bear replica at all)...still figuring out where to place this on a separate note, i'm selling a few of items which i bought (either wrongly or on impulse) yes, it's still bubble wrapped & brand new. here's a pic of it which i took from the shop: I bought it for more than $600. willing to let go for it for $520 (nego). -

been cleaning/unpacking the whole day! and not done yet. btw, this is the first time i'm using cement tiles & this might be my last. i've cleaned it like 3 times & it's still dusty they are nice but they seem so hard to maintain. sigh. anyway the cat finally ventured out & started exploring the new place -

finally moved in today. the 2 canines were way too excited. we got into the house at about 11.30am & they were walking around, not stopping to rest at all till about 4pm. as for the feline. well, she's been hiding & she found a favourite place to hide ~ the storeroom lugged multiple bags today & my kind neighbour who saw me downstairs gave me a helping hand now still in the midst of cleaning & unpacking (taking short breaks in between). and here are the two finally resting i placed an order for my alkaline water & it was installed today. this is an undersink with an extra tap for it. really love it. been drinking alkaline water for more than a year & even my animals drink it too well, back to packing & cleaning for now. -
i just ordered a similar one & it was delivered today! new scratchy for d new house. but too bad i can't change the litter box. my cat refuses to use the new one

hmm my contractor only let me chose this brand called klassicut (if i don't remember). initially i wanted to get quartz but i added so many things along the way & i needed to control the spending so i downgraded to solid surface, which is cheaper. i've used solid surface for my previous house. it's very prone to scratches, esp for those dark colors once where scratches are really obvious. so i chose a white one to match my cabinet. heh. wah the emoticon is sooooo appropriate! -

wah! google queen! yes i think it's that one. the catalogue book is in one of the cartons so it will take me some time to find it (like i took hours to find my remote control today). -

my reno journey has almost come to end. almost because there are quite afew touchups/rectifications to be done & hope they can be completed soon. well, i've come a really long way to make this house happen. i'm a divorcee, who went thru 8 months of divorce proceeding. it hasn't been a smooth journey for me. there had been loads of obstacles, in terms of division of finances, financial management for the house (housing loan), buying & selling of the house, shifting to parents' place temporarily. these went on for a year. it took a toll on me but when i finally got my keys to the house, i thought i could heave a sigh of relief. but soon i realised it was yet another beginning. from applying for reno loan, to finding a contractor/ID, to confirming one, and doing lots of homework/research to put this house together, shuttling between work, shopping places, new house & parents' place for the past 5 months. aww man! 24 hours a day just wasn't enough. as engaging a contractor was a first for me, it was, yes, a **** of an experience. no, i'm not saying my contractor is not good but no one is perfect, and no one can be perfect. getting a contractor 'forces' me to be more hands on with my own reno, seeing that works are carried out smoothly, ensuring rectifications are made, seeing the behind the scenes, having real life experience with various sub-contractors & plenty of decisions need to be made. there were mistakes (quite a number) made along the way, some rectified, some cannot (but not life threatening lar ) but yes, indeed, i really learnt ALOT. and if i ever had to move again (which i wished never) & if you were to ask me if i will still engage a contractor, i probably would. and if given a choice whether to engage the same contractor, yes i may, provided i still have a flexible work schedule -

hmm i dont think u can paint veneer doors because they r laminated. classic doors -yes u can. my main door is nyatoh & fire rated & i had it painted. not all main doors are fire rated. hdb regulation is that if your unit is located next to a lift or staircase, then the main door has to be at least 1/2 hour fire rated.
