actualli we oso 1st asked quotation fr him last nov and onli get to c the 1st quote this jan but its ok for us cos we werent in a hurry n were asking ard for other quotations as well... guess mayb u can wait a while ba...if u r nt patang, i believe april (qing ming) should b a lull period.. sorrie i oso wanna add tat when he giv us his 1st quote he stil has the 1st floorplan which we forwarded him..so i tink he's realli sincere jus tat mayb he's realli bz...can tell fr wat u told us abt him nt taking any food since bfast..quite sad leh...

of course dun mind though i oso tink the place is not ready to b seen haha...so u went in or jus stay outside? i was there at 4plus oso...twe wanted to inspect the tiling works but whole floor is layed with the cardboard so cant see anything or all...painting supposed to start tml but he havnt met us to get the colours fr us leh so i oso duno hw they start tml ya if u read my blog, tat wall was previously plastered without "punching" holes so the wall peeled a few days later...tats y now they hav to "punch" hole n replastered... the bi-fold door n window at the kitchen are from the previous owner...im nt changing the kitchen due to budget constraint..sigh

Decided on the color for solid surface top for kitchen... 1st choice 2nd choice hmm...wondering if white is difficult to maintain as Whitezzz mentioned tt his white top has some black & yellow stains...

orh so i guess the price is quite is standard no need to bargain one cos he oso quote $900 for the set...

Hi pinkpetter actualli that coffee table is recommended by melvin cos the original one tat goes wif my tv console is rectangular n he said square table more suitable for L shape...hw much did u buy for the tv console n table? jus wondering if he has given mi a gd price cos we didnt negotiate...haha

Went down to Power Dekor showrm and settled the bedroom laminated flooring too... Chosen this Java Teak With skirting 1 more item down..phew Tomorrow will confirm the capentry, feature wall-paper and paint color....another busy but fruitful weekend hahaha...hope post reno will turn out well

We also went to confirm our basin & sink today...delivery on next sat Tolite bowl - changed from a 8inch one to 6inch one Square basin-common brm Square basin-master bdrm basin tap Sink tap Bought 2 2-way taps also. All the taps are shiny & nice now, think require some effort to maintain them

Visited S&C yesterday and purchased some stuff Coffee table Tv console Dining chair Sofa (bought sometime back )

see that your contractor punch holes in your kitchen walls before they plaster over...mine didnt and now they are going to do that as the plaster peels....

Well, hard to compare this way as some times contractor charge by run per ft for wardrobe. Think it is good that you get quotes from both IDs and contractors before you decide....Time consuming but at least you know whether package you paid for is worth it ya...

Contractor recommend me 'Bellus' solid surface top. Wonder is it good. Anyway, he allows us to check all the tiling works till his workers are done and clear off all the debris He told me tt the flooring of my house is not flat as the living room floor is higher than one of the bedroom. They need to heck the bedrm floor to make it more aligned. Half done kitchen sink Living rm tiling almost done new toliet window light bulbs fr one of my rms went missing during the 1st week..but suddenly they r all back now..

notice that cut off between the grey tiles in the foyer and the beige tiles is not aligned with the wall...the reason given by the contractor is that if need to align den the grey tiles need to be cut and will not look nice...also cannot start to lay the grey tiles fr the wall cos wil end up wif a line at the main gate...errr do u all u/stand wat im trying to say? so does it look v weird with the cut off in btwn the wall huh?? btw if i do white grouting for the foyer tiles, will it look ugly? the stain can accept lah hor? no need to exchange hor...
