  1. Hi. Interested in the guards and helmet for inline skating. Pls text Ryan at 91559331 to negotiate?

  2. hihi I'm using RnR (they also go by the name SpaceDefine I think). Just doing my kitchen, including hacking of existing kitchen flooring & cabinets, re-tiling, new upper & lower cabinets, and full-height glass walls for the utility area, it's about $20k. The price came as a shock to me; I had thot $10k would cover.
  3. Will the Court divide the assets of the man between him and his wife? The wife did not contribute to the acquisition of the assets. doesn't matter that wife did not help pay... she just has to prove that she used it, and helped to take care of it. If wife agrees to divorce, can just go to lawyer and start divorce proceedings. Commonly used reason is irreconcilable differences. Whoever files for divorce makes the other party look bad. For divorce on the grounds of adultery, must get evidence, which will be difficult if wife doesn't coorperate, as well as another sum of $.
  4. love your sofa... nice contrast with the cushions. Excellent to have multi-tasking furniture. Fabric sofas are more versatile... can play with colours and textures. covers can be sent for drycleaning. Some laundry shops provide the service of coming to your house to remove the covers, and then put them back. Leather also needs to be maintained, and I feel is harder to keep clean, cos they can't be stripped off the frame.
  5. I paid $200 for a stainless steel kitchen worktop. Rusted after 3 months. My 2 sets of Billy bookcases are still holding up well after 5 years of use, stuffed with paperbacks. But the laminates on a couple of bedside tables ($60/piece) started peeling off after less than a year. The surface of my laptop table Dave bubbled and stained with the moisture less than 15 min after I placed a glass of cold water on it without a mat.
  6. thanks for the info on Hock Siong furniture. I didn't know they did all that. I went some time back, saw some nice stuff, but was worried about the re-conditioning and delivery, so didn't buy. Aiyah, sayang. Maybe must go again soon, but now I don't need more furniture. cool bathroom, v streamlined. the patterned tile looks classy. Wah, I wish I can get away with jus 2 cooking hobs. What's that machine in the corner for? Quite cute & retro looking.
  7. welcome to TPY. I'm at Lorong 1 so exciting, finally can get started on doing up your house
  8. "great job. the house looks bright and airy." sorry, I think my PC lagged so much that the msg I wanted to post on another blog got pasted here lesson to be learnt... do not try to make my PC do work at 6.33am Congrats on being a new homeowner. I'm sure u'll learn a lot from doing up your house & hopefully, u'll have fun. Looks like you are already enjoying yourself shopping what r u planning to use your back utility room for?
  9. wow, the tiles in your MBR toilet has such a dramatic effect. gorgeous v well put together. well-done
  10. love your wood furniture. great finds. did you need to get them re-conditioned? How did you get them transported home? like the bare essentials look. v practical; simplifies cleaning. consider buying stuff second-hand thru ebay, singapore classifieds etc? I bought a table fan (National, v new) for $30, a new waffle maker $20, a Braun handblender $15. v happy let people know what u are looking for... many people seem to have stuff stashed away that they don't mind giving away. U want a rectangular gold tablecloth with tassels on the corner? From China, V glam, Friend bought for me a few years ago, but I could never match to look of my house. I think quilt or bedcover completes the look of the bed, but Yokine9a is right, S'pore too hot & humid for quilt unless you sleep w aircon. I find my quilt v comforting, and it dresses up my otherwise boring bedsheet.
  11. hi ashes02, XZQT $1500. This item I bargained for. I went to the XZQT in Paragon, and was quoted $1600. I went to the outlet at UE Tech during sale period, told the sales staff my budget, and asked him to meet it but it is indented from Italy, so must wait 3 months. U can choose the table top frame, the glass colour, and the type of legs u want. 1.2 m by 0.9m, extendible to 2.4 m by 0.9m pinkpetter, u guys don't have sit down meals together; can't be very useful to you
  12. congratulations on getting a new home. Bishan is a great place to live in.
  13. Hi aubrey I'm not sure wat u r referring to, cos I ddn't get much done. My reno shifu is unknown in this forum; he's really budget, and keen on helping client to save $. The downside is, he's not v careful... paintblobs, uneven painting/paintlines, wiring not well concealed by casing etc If u don't mind that, I can give you his contact number, but from reading this forum, I gather that most people are willing to pay more to get better workmanship.
