  1. Ya I just saw my IL house their house no fales ceiling & cornies got only trunking. So the OpenNet pple use the exsisting trunking for the OpenNet. But for our case we try to make full use of the HDB trunking outside our house (common lobby/lift landing area) see use from there than into our house lor.. sure got damage de lor.. cause this afternoon I was thinking if the fiber optic come from outside and into our house... than how to go thru to the tv area... if you look at my floor plan... my living room is at the far end lor... I hate the pple who impose this OpenNet thingy lor
  2. What is skidding area?? Mu hub actually went out of the house and look for point of the OpenNet and he say can run from the existing trunking which HDB have and come into our house... wonder if that they can be done... + maybe a bit damage to the corner of the fales ceiling.
  3. Oh.... I think you are at 18X that side... I am at 15X facing the bukit timah hill everyday see hill de hahahah + see the condo swimming pool LOL...
  4. I think you and me is different dirrection cause I also stay in Bt Panjang.. cannot see anything le
  5. Sink and stove - Look ok to me but personally I dun like cooking with my back facing the kitchen door... cause if got someone come in the kitchen I also may not know... but its not a bit issue. Washing Machine - Is your washing machine (w/m) in the common bathroom?? Look funny le cause long run maybe will spoil cause of the moist in the bathroom.. do consider another place to put the w/s if you can. Lights in the living room - You dun need light above your tv... can take out 2 of the light just above the tv. Cause lights just above the tv will reflect on the tv sometime hard to see the tv show. I dun have lights above my tv unit so always look cozy at the tv area. Lights in the bed room - I only have 1 light in the ceiling... maybe you want to consider again the amount of light you have in the bedroom. For my MBR I have beside lamp. If you are not going to read in the room then you do not need so much lighting. Ceiling Fan in bed room - Erms... if you believe in FS its not good sleeping under a fan... its like cutting you like that... But for me I dun like sleeping under a fan cause feel very pressure like something is pressed on you.
  6. Use photobucket and put your photo there... than copy the link and put it here. Than the picture will be big big Yes mine also a corner (point block)
  7. Ya I also got the letter from OpenNet and just yesterday I chance upon the letter heng not expire yet so I fast get my hub to register.
  8. OpenNet is install for free for the 1st 15m and 1 point only. After 15m than you have to pay... and if additional point you need also need to pay. SG is changing most its network to OpenNet... its not matter of worth it or not it part of the change now SG is doing.
  9. thats strange... did you make a online appt with OpenNet??
  10. I hate the OpenNet le cause house owner liike us extra money to make it swee swee again sian Anyone else reno done liao and doing the OpenNet later?? I like to know how you all make it swee swee and any thing I have to take note of??
  11. you think highly of me I not staying at Pinnacle but I dun mind dreaming of it Our option is either Opt 1 or Opt 2. Cause till now we not sure how the OpenNet is going to run trunking.... Our elect raiser is beside or main door (as we are in a point block)... if I want to explain the layout of my house here I think will get confused de Hmmmm... Have you done yours??
  12. OpenNet will be coming to our place on the 5 Apr 2010 (Monday) to do the installation. Opt 1: If we just let the OpenNet lay the cables and trunking sure will be ugly cause expose mah... and just reno hor every thing swee swee one.. now got wht STUPID OpenNet which cause lots of new house owner eyesore just because of the trunking. Price: No cost but eyesore forever Opt 2: Ask OpenNet and Own contractor to come to the house and work together.... so contractor will help to hide the wire in the false ceiling..... small dusty reno Price: Extra cost to contractor Opt 3: Don't install OpenNet Lor.... One way or another you loose out. You save the trouble but in the long run if gov say no more cable and all go by OpenNet than siao liao lor.... Extra cost to install OpenNet & maybe if you dun like the way OpenNet do the trunking than you got to call you own contractor for the job too. Price: Double hit (left & right side - To pay OpenNet & Own contractor) Question: Anyone install OpenNet in your new house already after your reno is done???

  20. Hi. The IKEA plastic sheet is not meant for parquet flooring as per IKEA. You can use rug instate any form of rug/mat which is cloth type. This is because wood (parquet) need to breath too I got a rug for my study room and the chair I got the normal foldable chair which I think good enough. I did not take the roller chairs cause if you got long hair on the floor the hair will be caught in the roller long term. I will sometime remove the rug so that the colour of the parquet will be the same (cause sunlight will cause the parquet to turn colour) You dun want your parquet have 2 shades Hope this helps.
  21. Chemical Wash is the last to be done.
  22. Quite keen on this thread as I have question to ask... If we own a flat and took HDB grant. Stayed in the flat for more than 5 yrs liao. Now if we buy a condo or pvt are we still allowed to keep the HDB and rent it out?? Or got to sell away the HDB flat?? Heard lots of different version so am checking out now.
  23. Ups the t-blog as its going WAY WAY down A small update on my side We just received 2 back rest chair for the dinning table and the table top glass on last sat. The glass which we got is from Yuen Tat Glass very cheap for a 6mm tempered glass (150cm x 90cm) S$46.40 + Delivery S$50 + 7% GST S$6.75 = S$103.15 They are actually our house contractor's supplier (too bad that we came to know this much later). I am posting this information up so that this could help most forumer (PS: I save S$100+ if compare from the furniture shop) You can tell them not to print their company logo on the glass cause I find it ugly I need to highlight that on the day before delivery Yuen Tat call and tell me that they do not know that delivery is to our unit I told them its a MUST to deliver to our unit lor.... anyway its STUPID to made delivery to void deck only. I was so angry than my hub got to deal with it personally and he kept asking what is the problem... the lady say when they say our unit is above #20 floor they are wondering if they need to carry the glass to our unit... We tell them to take the lift le... even our sofa & mattress can enter so no problem. So guys, just be extra clear on this part. Personally can still go ahead and call for quote and I guess they are the main supplier to most company cause I saw BesGlass and some other company name in their contact list... Hahahaha Glass Company: Yuen Tat Glass Tel: 6368 9371 Email: yuentatglass@hotmail.com
