  1. Thanks. This is a new laminate design. I like the wavy effect, Actually I did not expect it to be so wavy...I got a bit overwhelmed when I see it...but after a while I got used to it. I guess this laminate add some depth to the overrall design.
  2. This feature is specially built to flush together with the beam, which cannot be hacked away. I like this idea which is suggested by my ID. Due to space constraints in the master bedroom toilet, a very small basin have to be install.
  3. My common bedroom- with nothing inside.. When I take the photos, the wrapping on the lightings were not taken off yet...so unable to see the lighting effects. Will posy the lighting pics in due course. The kitchen Pull out bottom Tray to change the gas cylinder more easily. Pull out tray for that extra work top space. The tray can be pushed back...and that's what it look like then...
  4. My TV console and shoe cabinet. Note that the console is not together with the feature panel. This is specially design so that there is more walk way in the living room, as 3 room living room is very narrow. This also mean extensive electrical and audio rewiring have to be done first in order for this design to work. The masterbed room, with the feature panel The masterbed room, with a view of the wardrobe. My prized toilet cover....
  5. My house reno is finished. Had been really busy. Now going to upload photos to share what had been done. The main gate and door The Living room with the feature wall The dining area, with a full height mirror for visual enlargement effect
  6. Hi. My Lights are brought from shops from KL, JB and Penang. But I feel you can get nice and cheap lightings in the shop in Jurong, ie Chelse and those shop along that stretch...and Lightcrafts @ Jalan sultan, near bugis now got promotiom....I feel the lights there are priced quite resonable. I just brought a floor lamp at about 20 dollars, excluding bulb, which depending on the type will cost you maybe an extra 4-6 dollars.
  7. Just to share my personal experience of finding a ID/ Contractor... I did some research with this forum and jotted down recommended ID, and called them and fix appt with them. I also ask my friends whom had house renovated and ask them if they will recommend their ID/ contractor. From what I learn so far, the good ones will not be sitting around in the showroom or office. You have to meet them through appt. I heard from my ID that even if he is in the showroom, he will not attend to walk in cases. He will pass them to his collegues. Just my 2 cents worth
  8. Hi.Like I stated in my previous post, there is still 90 cm of walk space. There is also sufficient space to hang clothes. That is even after the make space for the washing machine base. I had even get the ID to do up extra base for me to put up the dryer.
  9. Actually, I should not said it is more expensive. I guess genova package suits my needs better. This is because I required a very very small basin, a toilet bowl and a mixer tap. For that shop, they only have one small basin range, and the package does not come with a mixer tap, which I then I have to top up. But I really am very impressed by the Sales guy. I think his name is Sunny. Although we went in like 9 pm plus, he served us till 10 pm. He even "unplug" those shower heads and plucked it into his own shop water point to demonstrate to us the difference of each type of shower head. I agreeded with you...buy already dun compare too much. That's why sometimes I very frustrated with my hubby. Everytime we made a major purchase, he will always try to find some evidence or proof that we brought it at a higher price and nag about it...sigh...
  10. My ID is Justin , correct. Yup, Weiken gives 3D drawings, I made a lot of changes before finalising on this design. Overall, the experience so far is ok. I agreeded that there is a problem with the carpentry work..my hubby is not too pleased about it. Like the pull out drawers is very difficult to pull out. It could be due to the track alignment issue. Workmenship...not too good. Will be talking to ID soon to see if some problems can be rectified. Cos ID always says it's like that one... Plus most of the cabinets are up already, I really dunno if it is still possible to make changes. What are you gals and gals experience??? I buy those toilets bowls, basin, mixer taps from Genova. They having some package deals..which I feel its pretty good. I did went to the shop you went in Sim Ave. THe Sale guy is very good, but price on the higher side.
  11. Yo. I also buy my downlight from Yako Lighting. The 2 brothers there very friendly. Price reasonable too. I found JB downlights more designs to chose from.
  12. PM you already Just an update on the renovations of my house:- Brought all the tiolet bowls, sink, mixer taps and storage water heater--Total damage about 2100 plus. All these delievered and installed already. Kitchen cabinets up, but not the granite work, will arrived next week. Still got one feature wall panel, shoe cabinet cum TV console and mirror panel not put up yet. Hopefully can aim to finished by mid march. Will put up more pics when the things are more firm up
  13. I really like the romatic country style. Your house look perfect.
  14. wow, I saw your items list and see that you went JB to buy sink and tap? Is the process difficult? I was planning to do that too.......... And 22 downlights...for both the false celing and L-box???
  15. Hi. I also brought a 3 room resale. Very keen to see the progress of your reno
  16. I managed to keep to my budget of $1000, including the 6 downlights and the 2 kitchen lights I buy which are the only 2 light I buy in Singapore @ Chelsa. I bring them over in the car. I dun think they will provide delivery service. Anyway, as crystals are very fragile, I prefer to bring them over myself too. Yar. At first, I actually wanted the whole house design to be of modern retro theme, which did not work out in the end. The initial choice of the toilet tiles is not avaiable. In the end,I chose to have this toilet tile as I find this tile design unique.
  17. Laminate for MBR wardrobe: Hey, I chose the exact same laminate for my master bedroom wardrobe too. Check it out in the 3D drawing that I posted How did it turn out for you? Mine will only be up next week. Is very excited to see the overall effect
  18. Lights Hi. I got the same downlight as you, for my dining area, but the border of my downlight is black silver. Cost RM 48 too.
  19. Living Room Light The Master bedroom Light The Common Bedroom Light The TioLet Light- Master. Picture show warm light-but the actual will have white light installed. The Kitchen Light The Store room Light
  20. Now awaiting for the capentry works to be installed. Painting is also finished 90 percent.
  21. The common toilet The master toilet
  22. Yup. I wanted something different for the master and common bedroom. The bedrooms are more of a classic feel. Agreeded. All my lights cost less than S$1000. I buy my kitchen lights in Singapore tho. The beginning of the hacking work Opening up a new doorway Wet Laying of floor tiles A wall built to conceal the fridge from the front view
  23. From what I checked from the customs website, if I go "overseas" for more than 48 hours, I am allow to bring in S$300 worth of purchases with GST exemption per pax. So if one car got 4 persons, then I guess I can buy up to S$1200 worth. If not i hear you just declare, and pay the 7 percent GST.Other than the GST , think they are no other tax. But I have not been through this process, so I am unable to verified. I wwill update you more when I return from Malaysia. I already did some price comparsion between Singapore and Malaysia Price. If it is those very very nice nice lightings, then worth it to get from Malaysia, cos can be 50 to 70 percent cheaper. But if it simple lights for store-room etc, then singapore price and malaysia not much difference.
