  1. hi would you please share uncle johnny plumber contact with me please. tyvm!

  2. i think this depends on the function(s) of the room you are having. For us, two bedrooms were combined into one with one side being the sleeping area and the other side is the walk-in wardrobe area. Our air-con blower is in the sleeping area and we're had a slightly bigger than std blower. If std blower is 12000 btu, then i think the one we have is 1500btu. The aircon is good for the entire room. We got an inverter. Just got our first utility bill. About $100 (for 5-room) whereby we turned on the air-con whenever we are in the house. So basically, aircon was turned on whenever we're in the house which is about 12-14 hours a day and the aircon we have cools the place down really fast. So i think the inverter helped in a lower utility bill. Hence, i would recommend an inverter aircon.
  3. Hi, Regarding the dining chairs that's in your 3D drawings, any idea/suggestions as to where they can be found? I'm looking for such similar dining chairs. Thanks!

    Clocks

There's this furniture shop in Sungei Kadut called Sierra or something like that. Its opp to IFC. They have a wall displaying the clocks. The clocks there look pretty good but I have no idea of the price range. I'm keen to get one for my place but until I've decided where to mount the clock, it'll have to wait.
  7. What do you mean when you say you can open the curtains? Can you kindly elaborate pls? Thanks! For me, the gap is annoying when that ray of sunlight still passes through and shines onto the tv screen. Then it kinda defeats the purpose.
  8. Hi, What is the address and name of this chair shop? Thanks!
  9. Hi KSJL, i noticed that there is a gap in the middle when you've drawn the curtains together. I would like to check this is the norm (as in a gap in between) or is it because the curtains were not drawn properly? My friend's place curtains have the same issue ie, the gaps in between and she resorted to using a clothes peg to hold the curtains together.
  10. I did my tempered glass door (frosted) with hinges that swing 180 degrees at about $480 (can't rem exact price). So far so good Oh, its by Doctor Doors.
  11. I also bought all my lights at lightings.com.sg. Pretty good service and very value for money. Bought a chandelier for living room, dining light, a philips lightbulb, about 10 T5, 22 PLC downlights and 20 LED lights for all under $2000 . We're happy with all the lights except for the LED lights, though its of no fault of the company. The LED lights we got are 5 watts each and we thought they would be sufficient for our bedroom. Unfortunately, the LED lights are not bright enough and thus our bedroom is now rather dim. This made our room looks cosy though. On and one more thing, we didn't know that lights are split into dimmable and non-dimmable types. Unfortunately, the LED we got are the non-dimmable type. This means that while the intensity of the light can be changed (dimmable), it results in flickering. But the flickering is not very outstanding, unless you fix your gaze upon where the light shines upon. So we're going to live with this dim LED until we decide to use the more upmarket type of LED which are brighter and dimmable and of course, more expensive (about 5 times more expensive!). We're very happy with the PLC downlights (very bright and they look nice too) and the chandeliers and dining light! Will definitely recommend this shop and patronise them again if we require more lightings in the future.
  12. Hi, Not sure if this will help but my carpenter did tell me that raw material prices have gone up by half. Not sure what is the increase in pfr though.
  13. Hi, Can I check how much it costs to plaster the walls? Did you plaster all the walls in your unit?
  14. Hi, You can try The Interior Library. They are located at The Plaza (next to the Furniture Mall). They specialise in such classic designs. I'm had my place designed by their ID (our theme is modern classic) and am using the contractors he normally liaise with. Do PM me if you want more details
  15. Hi, May I know where is Hommage? The place you got your furniture from? TIA!
