  21. hihi.. was at a home-stuff roadshow and i was perusing some of the sample lamintes by Formica at their booth.. this sales person mentioned that using 2mm laminate is better for kitchen cabinets.. (i didnt know what's the standard thickness in the first place).. does anyone know why so? and if anyone has used the 2mm thickness before for their cabinets.. cost-wise, definitely more ex but i wonder what are the advantages (and disadvantages) too... any kind soul can help shed some light on this? or share their experience? thanks!!

Issit the 2mm ones? Heard thicker laminates is better for kitchen but I've no idea! hahaha.. U used the glossy laminates yeah? What are the pros & cons of using it? I heard it gets easily scratched, issit?
  23. ohhh i realise the layout of my kitchen is exactly the same as urs!! haha.. i really like ur red & white themed kitchen.. really nice.. and bcos it's longish, i guess there's a limitation as to how we can play around with the layout.. but what i have in mind looks pretty similar as urs.. heee.. u mind taking more pics of ur kitchen to show? thanks!!
  24. hihi.. ur house is really v nicely done.. saw that u used grooved white tiles for ur toilet walls.. v chio! i like it!.. thinking of using it as well.. juz concerned about maintenance wise.. issit easy to maintain? my hubby says the grooves will trap dirt and it's hard to maintain.. so wondering if u could share ur experience.. thanks!!
  25. hi BBtBB.. what colour is ur laminate? im thinking of using the 2mm FORMICA laminates too.. white colour for my kitchen cabinets.. glossy ones..my concerns are 1) white's susceptible to stains easily and 2) scratches on glossy surfaces will easily show up..care to share ur experiences? thanks!!
