Recommend Gynae For Fertility Check
pinkytan replied to neanea's topic in Pregnancy,Parenthood and Education Matters
You can consider going to Obsterics and Gynaecology departments at NUH, KKH or one of those goverment hospitals. Those private gynae clinics are good with monitoring pregnancy and helping you to deliver your baby but for fertility issues, perhaps going to the hospital is better. Hospital got their own lab, x ray departments and so on. IVF also subsidised by government if under 40 and singaporean, done at government hospitals. Good luck. -
Hi, I managed to find a nice resale flat throught an agent who represented me as a buyer. I wanted near mrt, at least above 6th floor, north facing, convenient, very new resale flat etc...she could find for me. 1% is a lot to pay, but I think it's worth it. She also tried to negotiate the price for me before OTP and I even managed to buy below valuation. Any paperwork I didn't understand, I could ask her, she helped me a lot. Usually agents specialise in certain areas, no? So you should try to find one that specialises in Hougang. Good luck.

Hi all, I bought all my Bathroom stuff from Sim Siang Choon, IMM. Selection there, not bad. My id asked me to go find all the wc and bathroom stuff myself, he only help me to install. There was this girl called jolin who served me. She seemed to have good product knowledge and was very patient with me and even spoke to my id on the phone when I wasn't sure about the measurements of my kitchen sink.. Me very lazy, got no time to shop around so I got everything from there. I also went to Changi South showroom which is a lot bigger but I didn't find what I like. My id actually asked me to go Hoe Kee because it's cheaper than Sim Siang choon but their selection not many and not so nice. but I bought my cooker stove from Hoe Kee, IMM.

How Much Does It Cost To Change Switches For 4 Room Flat
pinkytan replied to pinkytan's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
Thanks Jaskel for your contact. I see what my id says. I also dont know how to tell him. If he quotes too high for his electrician, I should try to get my own. Don't know whether my id is ok with me getting my own electician. Hope he don't mind. -
Choo Chiang sells the water heater switch for $8, Homefix would sell for $18.90! Sha ren fang huo! 1 single switch just cost $1.70, and 1 triple switch at $5. 3 pin plug switch at $3. Very reasonable price at Choo chiang.

Tiles..laminates..hack..overlay?help!
pinkytan replied to Sue79's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
For me, I chose to overlay the floor and wall for my 2 toilets. Mine is also a resale flat, about 6 years old. I thought at least I keep the original hdb tiling. At least if there is any problem with water seepage next time, I prob won't kana 100% of the repair work for the water seepage by HDB, I don't know lei. -
Hi, I got Dhall or Dahll, as it's more water saving according to the chart at Sim Siang Choon. Actually it depends on the measurements. I heard from my id that you should choose the one that suits the measurement and try not to offset to prevent any chokes.

Hi all, I recently bought legrand switches from Choo Chiang too, at Toh Guan there. I'd like to thank everyone here. Without info from this forum, I wouldn't know where to get these switches at a cheaper price. Homefix is like so expensive! 2-3 times more.

Hi all, I want to change all the switches for my resale 4 room flat. I have bought all the necessary new switches. How much do I expect to pay the electrician to install the swtiches for me? Need to know the average price to avoid being chopped by my id. I'm thinking of getting my own electrician. Anyone to recommend? Any imput is appreciated. Thanks!

For that price, I believe they do take extreme care when they move the furniture. If I engage them and they do a good job, of course no regrets. After all they are professional movers, maybe about the same as Shalom since Shalom price also on the higher side. I spoke to them and they are very polite, sounded very professional indeed. Just that I think they should be honest about the piano part. They can say they are very good at moving pianos so I should have peace of mind but they can't lie saying that they are yamaha's contractor for shifting piano lor. Yeah..guess business people are like this.

Hi, I'm also looking for mover. Elite movers quoted me $550 for shifting -queen size mattress and bedframe -washing machine -fridge -microwave, toaster oven -one book shelf -piano -portasound keyboard and stand -clothes and 40 boxes I found it expensive and also wanted Yamaha to shift my piano instead for peace of mind. So I called Elite back to give me a new quotation, minus the piano. They told me they are Yamaha's contractor for moving pianos and Yamaha will refer me back to them one. But I called Yamaha and Yamaha said there is no such thing. Wah, Elite movers lie to me lor. Besides mover 168, any other movers to recommend? Does 168 provide free boxes? Thanks.
