  1. I signed with United Team Lifestyle, and my ID is Joyce. She is very nice to work with and very accommodating. Just received our 1st 3D last week.
  2. Hi Aron, I intend to change the old aircond we currently have but undecided on system 2/3/4. Can you help to quote each system inclusive of installation? No specific brand but prefers more ticks. Please PM me the details and advice. Thanks!
  3. I just called HDB regarding this - whether renting out room is taxable. From the Customer Officer explanation, looks like renting out room only is not taxable but the whole unit yes. So the registration is just to notify HDB on the subtenants particulars. Although he confirms this, somehow i still feel in doubt...hmmm. If anyone have time, please call to re-confirm. 1800-555-6370. Thanks.
  4. I am not good at elaborate them in words. Out of 10, i'll give an 8.5. The whole process takes about 2 months. Mainly carpentry work - TV feature wall & console, Kitchen cabinet, bomb shelter feature wall, shoe cabinet, MBR study table. And also tiling at kitchen and toilets. My ID gave a schedule table and we will go and check out status every now and then. Everything progressed per schedule. Only towards the end, there are minors stuffs here and there that was delayed (probably due to CNY). Because we were pretty rush to move in, we got very frustrated about the delay during that time. But come to think about it now...not a big problem really.
  5. My agent is Stephanie Sim from Dennis Wee. Very very nice lady. Patient and not pushy. Highly recommended. If you interested, PM me for contacts.
  6. agree with firehorse..worth considering. We are also happy with our ID. Some small hiccups but was rectified and resolved. Overall meet our expectations!
  7. For me is a MUST. Agree with Supersimon27, change all at one go if you doing reno. I used to rent a HDB unit last time and I changed the seat.
  8. oppss, missed your previous reply. After that first heating, i haven't have chance to cook/bake using the oven yet. From your description, I am more relieve and I think it should be OK. Hopefully i have time to prepare something this weekend Thanks!
  9. agree Hopefully my hinges and handle don't give problem.
  10. My reno completed, and my ID charged me: Frameless tempered glass shower screen with swing door - $480 Frameless frosted tempered glass swing door - $520
  11. mine was done by Uncle Chew. Got his contact from this forum as well. Total $730 - living room day and night full length curtain and roller blind for 3 bedrooms. Include all mechanism and installation with 2 years warranty. Very nice uncle. He will go to your house to measure and bring all the materials for you to choose. I think the curtains are sew by his wife...she gave us one big square pillow for free.
  12. Hi Kitchen matters, I have just on my oven for the first time per your recommendation - top & bottom heat (200'C) for 20 mins. Somehow it gives a very strong smell...i assume is the "new" smell. And heard some "pop, pop" sound inside as if there is something inside grilling. Is this normal? First time operating an oven...i was so worry that it will explore anytime. Thanks. -vivien-
