  1. Weather was good for most part of the trip. In fact, we were so lucky. Most of the raining was on the road when we were transiting from place to place. Only place that rained cats and dogs was when we went to Venice. The place was so wet, it flooded! So many places was flooded. My wifes shoes were all soaked and we had to spend a few hours to dry it up that same evening. Heh heh..

  3. Time sure flies! Remember the time we were all here? We were all talking about getting keys and what to renovate. Now most of us are already living in the home for about a year or more already! My second Valentine in the new home! Heh heh...
  4. I sure hope they catch this fella real soon! It is indeed worrying... block 321 C That area at night is not very well lit, comparing to the likes of Hougang and Ang Mo Kio.
  5. welcome to the neighbourhood! Good to find another kaki to the club!
  6. Actually phoenix, may I ask what is your general usage pattern in the kitchen? Do you cook a lot? Are you looking for a specific theme for your kitchen? From my experiences, for the cost of some solid surfaces, you can actually buy natural stone like granite that have the same properties as the higher cost solid surfaces. So depending on your usage, and your desired theme for the kitchen, then we can better recommend to you which one top is better. But if you are only looking at solid surfaces, I have a short write up at my blog. http://gnmrenovation.blogspot.com/2006/09/...id-surface.html what I usually advise people who are selecting their solid top to do is to ask for samples. the best way to see which type of surface suits you, get a sample of the various surface and put them to the test! soak the sample in curry, lemon juice, gif solution and coffee for a day each, or at least a few hours, put a hot pot on it as well... see if it can withstand the kind of abuse. If you are happy with the results, that is the surface for you.
  7. is mocca really that good?
  8. cos his is the original xbox... the one where it first came out. No such thing as wireless controller. Yours probably is a x360. Is it white or black?
  9. what stuff? work on what? i heard you are bored with this forum... why dun you join us as mylot?
  10. aiyah... so difficult... go to the toy section, get the latest Xbox360 with a few games to boot... then you will be having a whale of a time for the next few months... mabbe even weeks!
  11. hmm... looking at the responses, it is only good to buy the extended warranties if the repair cost exceeds the cost of the extended warranty rite? Ok... noted. I will take a closer look at it the next time I buy my electronics
  12. Is the extended warranty really that good? I have bought extended warranties before... but have never excercised it at all. Sort of feel that it is a little wasted.
  13. I know what you mean... but after feeling all comfortable with the bed, the price also very heavenly! I guess really need to have a HUGE budget in order to get such luxury. I know for sure that there are other brands with equivalent comfort feel out there!
  14. ha ha ha ha... I see I see... miss too many posts in the thread... that is why
  15. not advisable. False ceiling is just a thin piece of board to create that look... not very strong. A fan, depending on the blade size, is very heavy even without the blades attached. If you have longer blades, it would be even heavier! and imagine, with the movement of the fan when it is on, the support is really very lousy! So, better not. If you must install it to the false ceiling, the area where the fan is to be installed must be super reinforced. Still it is not advisable. The smooth effect of the false ceiling is created by plaster. It is a matter of time before the false ceiling around the fan mounting will start snowing!
  16. i didn't know ahnah is a china man... are you?
  17. I wouldn't mind!and if we can make it regular, I can convince my wife to let me own a bike for now, it is my two trusty legs
  18. akan datang... not tatang means will arrive... tatang = will carry in palm of hand you mean to say if you let us visit your home you will carry in the palm of your hand all of us to your home? the better phase should be tunggu sekejap! peluang akan datang!
  19. hmm... this one I must try... will go back and try tonite
  20. no comment I remember you wore bermudas. Kaki color. Short hair with specs. Your wife had her hair is either a small pony tail or a bun... cannot be sure. I came in, before I could get food, you had to leave.
  21. yep... i was there with my wife. I saw you there as well. heh heh
  22. reall? refresh my memory... at your house warming?
  23. there is always a upside and a downside to everything... heh heh... and yes... being a home maker does have her/his own schedule... but it is FLEXIBLE! that is what is most important to me.
  24. hmm... which block are you at? If it is in the same cluster as me, you have to keep hounding them till they come down to do your home I didn't know Anchorvale had premium EAs. if the water can seep thru to the floor below, it means that your waterproofing is gone, have to hack the whole floor to re-do the water proofing before laying the new tiles. If the estate manager tell you no tiles, throw the ball back at him. It is his job to get replacement tiles. Remember, you bought a premium flat... if there are any defects that does not make the unit premium as stated in the contract, you got every right to keep hounding them till they do it. If the estate manager dun do anything, then call and look for his superior... and keep going up the chain till someone does something. Worst come to worst, take it up to the press. For now, arm urself with a camera and do lots of inspections, with your camera especially and print the photos out and bring them with you each time you visit your home. hmm... if the home is suppose to be premium, that means that the floors should all be done up... why is there a need to top up? get the model number of the tiles he offered, or at least get a small sample then bring it to the shop and ask for a quote.
