Welcome Back! Very nice pictures there.

Weather looks good in the pictures..

Weather was good for most part of the trip. In fact, we were so lucky. Most of the raining was on the road when we were transiting from place to place.

Only place that rained cats and dogs was when we went to Venice.

The place was so wet, it flooded!

So many places was flooded. My wifes shoes were all soaked and we had to spend a few hours to dry it up that same evening.

Heh heh..

it will get even more exciting as the date draws nearer!

But must put more effort in the plannings now. Once the date is nearer, a lot of things will forget one.

We planned some items, and in the end did not do it cos we were do overwhelmed, we forgot all about it!

Sigh...

Also, thank you speech better prepare. Lest you leave out someone, then tai zi tua tiao liow.

Anyone knows LV & Gucci is cheaper in France or Italy? I heard that France's VAT rebate is 12% while Italy is 20%, but overall after VAT rebate, which country is cheaper?

It is never cheap to buy any branded goods in Europe. The VAT here is around 19% and you don´t get the complete refund back. Also, the Euro is much higher compared to other asian currency. You get good discount for older model during the summer sales here or from warehouse sales. For winter clothings, it is very cheap here and those travelling here should buy them here.

May i know what was the season when you visited europe?

We were there nearing the end of spring.

Weather is really cool and nice. Some part more chilly than others. But the temperature is all very nice. Like turning on the aircon at the coldest.

The lowest temperature we encounter is all above 15 degrees. So no worries about having the need to get a thick jacket.

Oh, except for when you are going up the moutains in Switzerland. That place is colder than the rest of Europe.

Hi,

My wife and myself are planning for Europe Trip to France, Swiss and Italy on F&E.

Anyone have any idea of getting cheap Eurail Pass? Just check the website and they have revised their price upwards....

Thanks

Most of the passes can be bought at the tourist center, or the rail station itself.

With the changes and the rising prices of everything, I am not surprised that the price has gone up as well.

But going today, with the current exchange rates, is so much cheaper than when we went on our honey moon.

If we had the rates today, we would have easily shaved off at least 20% of what we spent!
