no, he especially took a lift to my door, parked his bicycle, locked it then left.... really weird my block has lift every floor... no such thing about climbing stairs~
-
i guess BunBun makes regular trips to Malaysia but not HK.... so $978 is good enough.... already $100 of saving
-

yea bro manutd stays just a few blocks away from me actually many shop owners don't know about the rule. they don't know cos they don't read HDB website for myself, i just so happened to read the rule the day before i went heater shopping. the shop i talked to also didn't know about this rule. if i didn't happen to read it, i'd have gone for a Joven 3kW one straight away................. in my humble opinion (well, just my opinion ): why the rule is set such that instant heater can be 3kW but storage heater is limited to 1.5kW? HDB probably figured that for instant heater, the most you only turn it on for 15~20 mins when you bathe, so it won't be a big issue. also seldom will anyone set the instant heater to its max. setting (you want scaldding hot water? ), so not full 3kW will be consumed anyway. but for storage heater, likely people will turn it on for a long time (even 24/7), and set it to max. setting. if everyone in the block does this and all uses 3kW storage heater, HDB will have a problem since the electrical supply is still not upgraded. So they made this rule to limit storage heater rating at 1.5kW. so, technically, a 3kW storage heater will still be able to work, but you may not want to turn it on for long time, or may want to avoid turning on all the high consumption appliance like aircon, induction hob etc all together at the same time. But, but, i'm someone that if i'm already aware of a rule, i wouldn't wanna break it so i'm happy with my 1.5kW storage heater it takes around 20 mins to heat up since mine is a smaller tank - still acceptable to me. -
i don't mean that this will result in paying less interest, it just results in saving the $ to redeem the house faster. and one very important factor is how much lump sum you have in OA to start with. it has to be significant enough for this to work. yes. and the installment needs be less than the monthly CPF contribution so the funds in OA can grow. btw, now first $20k still earning 3.5% pa interest?

that's why i just chose to go to the lighting shop right downstairs of my house. true enough, one of the bulbs was faulty... just went downstairs to get it changed immediately. anyway, hommage is nearer to your place mah... just go there ba

oh you mean it's for "big Jaden".... hahahahahaha Kinect has this game called Kinect Animals i think. which is meant for small kids... simulating zoo environment where children can "touch" the animals or something like that
-
with ballast is the one with this cylindrical thing with the bulb one is it? think mine don't have, let me check at home mine is using Philips bulbs, but if you mean even the case itself is from Philips, then i dunno liao they showed me a few types but the one with one bulb one all look very small to me, so i got the bigger one with two bulbs but yea even the one bulb type they have from very cheap to very ex. think cheapest one even less than $18. i went to the shop twice. first time, uncle boss quoted something like $27 (actually i can't quite remember). i left. few weeks later, went back to same shop. didn't see uncle boss so talked to a lady staff instead: me: how much is this downlight? staff: $32. me: wah so ex. last time i came the price given to me was lower. staff: who quoted you? me: an uncle, thin one... staff: oh, how much he quoted? me: $27 i think... staff: ok $27 then.
-
are you allowed to put 1 mug, 1 water bottle?
-
$18 is with 1 or 2 bulbs in each downlight? the shop i went to also has downlight at $18 but only 1 bulb each downlight. the $27 one has 2 bulbs each downlight.

will Jaden be too short for the sensor to capture him? hahahahaha hubby tried one game. he was so exhausted after that... maybe Kinect is not meant for pple of our age~

bro i keyed in your postal code... yes your block is still the old 30 Amp supply. you can check here: http://www.hdb.gov.sg/bn25/isos119p.nsf/Search?OpenForm "Your block has not been provided with higher electrical loading." that time when i bought, the shops i asked doesn't have Joven's 1.5kW model, apparently it's not so popular so nevermind la just whacked Ariston since it was working well at my previous place. they just came out with this new rule? yes i agree with you it's stupid! cos 1.5kW just take 2x as long the time to do the same job as 3.0kW ones, dunno who came out with this new rule........... -
many weird pple around.... there was once a stranger even parked his bicycle outside my door.....
-
i've gotten my philips downlight (2 tubes) at $27 each and i think there should be even cheaper ones around... but maybe your downlight size is different? hmmmm. i also got my kitchen and toilet stuff from Royal Fanco, the shop has nothing much on display, but they are like Doraemon... once you tell them what you want, they will take out the items one by one from their storeroom, even help you do mix-and-match of the items hahahahaha yup agree that the bosses are very nice pple
-
the bed frame that was always out-of-stock? hahaha

i was told that HK has the 2nd cheapest iphone in the world. i actually sort of know that it will be cheaper but didn't know it's THAT MUCH cheaper? why? cos i used a wrong exchange rate to calculate......... so thought that the saving wasn't enough to justify the wait............. again, blame myself for not checking properly la~
-
i think around $400, can't remember exactly... lemme find the receipt and update again?
