  1. The heater works well. Installation was very fast. They didnt chg my old power cable as they said it was still good. The water pressure in my hse is not strong. Hence, the water from the oracle is not striking but like light massage... Guess i may need to chg showerhead if i want stronger shower. Anyway, it is usable til i get tired of it. A problem i encounter is the sound/noice from the heater when i shower (btw, i shower in cold water, only my kids use hot water). It is quite irritating. I called up the co. at around 1130 to ask for checking, they sent technician down at 1500 hours. Very fast service and i am impressed. The technician said it was caused by the water pressure problem. Told me to switch the knot to cold water (almost to the edge) and it wld reduce the sound. I did & it does reduce the sound but not completely silent & still quite audible. I think i will put use sound meter to measure the decibals. ha. The reason is water flowing from big entry pipe to the small pipe inside and out thru the small pipe to the bigger pipe again... hope it is clear. One thing which i am not so 'song' is that my old water heater didnt make any sound when i used. Guess it is of diff design... Hope 707 will improve in their future version.
  2. Hi Desmond I think with all the good recommendation, it wont be a bad choice. Ultimately it is still our 'luck' when buying elec. items. Oh, i have just placed order for 1 to be installed next week. Will post more when it is up & running.
  3. This is the newest model by 707 & i think newest means better feature, & of coz more exp. I think the safety feature and energy saving wld be better too. Hope i m right, else it is no point paying more $ juz to get a fancy shower head.
  4. Nice. Where you got it? Does it include installation? If yes, how much is the installation cost. I checked goh a b & they quoted 240 + 40 for a replacement type installation. Will check a few before i commit. tks.
  5. How's the 707 Princet0n? I intend to get 1 too. But not much review or info on google...

If you need shorter sheet - get from those $1 shop (china shop where most goods are MIC). Else, go branded shop like selff1x, etc.
  7. Go Ikea. Buy the Blum bumpers but check first if it fit your hinges (you can take your hinge there to try). I bought the hinges and bumpers from ikea. You can't find in the store. You must ask the sales people and they will get for you. Damper - http://www.ikea.com/sg/en/catalog/products/80126213 - $9 a pair. Hinge 125 degree opening http://www.ikea.com/sg/en/catalog/products/10177300 - $10 a pair. 153 degree opening - http://www.ikea.com/sg/en/catalog/products/70177302 - $8/pc. So, a set is $9.50 - quite ex if compared to cheapo hinge at normal hardware shop (about $1 or <$2). But if you want quality, Blum is made in Belgium & 1 of the best quality hinge.
  8. I installed yale 4109 for my wooden door. ever since, i seldom lock my gate (aluminium). I am very satisfied with this digital lock. Super convenient for my kids who lost the keys countless time! Now, they just swipe the tiny fingers & viola, open sesame. This 1 also got a key portion. tis key portion is helpful when the digital lock is spoilt. Then can be used as a normal lock. haha. Before i installed this lock, i used the normal lock. 1 day i forgot to bring the key out. Had to call a keyman to open. Charged me about $30 to $50. Wat he needed was a screwdriver! I am astronished! I knew i had to change this lock asap! Oh, this digital lock also have intruder alarm and fire alarm. lol.
  9. It looks alright to me. DIY job is like tat lah. We are not pro who installed by the hundreds... 1 question: Can people put their hand behind the lock and open it from inside? I am sure there is wide enought space for it since there will be another handle behind.
  10. When i last purchased my washer fr GAB, i called them, asked for the model, how much. They gave verbal quote. I ok. they said could send by <date>. I gave address. On <date>, the washer reached my place. After installation, I issued a cheque to the delivery guy. He chopped paid on the invoice. That's all. Btw, the delivery guys were from agent. They only got a faxed order copy fr GAB. So far so gd.
  11. My Ariston also has hot air vent out fr the front of the oven. I have a metal handle on the cabinet above the oven. After using the oven and leave the door ajar, i wont dare to touch the handle coz it is hot fr the oven heat. Well, when i made my own cabinet for the oven (coz i couldnt find 1 which fit the 90cm oven & it was an ugly built but i love it better than those branded cabinet coz it is the 1st cabinet that i made. ), i put some holes at the side of the cabinet but covered with air-filter (the 3m air-cond filter) to prevent dust & ants & those creepy creatures fr gettin in. I read that it is better to leave some ventilation holes as the oven body will get warm too.
  12. Google it and you will find a 'possible' answer. 1 of them is: http://tipnut.com/how-to-remove-a-broken-key-in-lock/ Or google here: http://www.google.com.sg/#hl=en&source...0e5a46064a996f7 Gd luck.
  13. 0.9m is too short. I bought 2m big fat wire (kiasu) & connected to a std 3-pin plug. When the delivery guy fr mayer came, they offered to 'swap' the wires for me. It is very easy to install. If you know how to install a 3-pin plug, you can do it.
  14. Waterfly or drain fly, i guess they are the same - looks like miniature housefly but grey in color n with big wings. They stick to the wall the whole time, easy to kill but too many to kill. BUT their kids - the larvaes are gross . They are small dark worms infesting the floor - hiding behind the air-con drain pipes, etc. I found out that their eggs are in the drain pipes - both floor trap and sink trap. I did the following steps: 1. For floor trap, i bought the $3.90 showy white color thingy to put inside the floor trap, which is supposed to prevent insect like cockroaches from crawling up. DONT get the cup type as it can retain water n become new nest again. Floor trap grating 2. For sink trap, i opened up the sink trap and there are tonnes of hairs, dirts, blackie things from ancient time. I cld see small larvaes sticking/infesting in the lump! Like the image in this webpage: Drain fly What i did: changed the whole sink trap (cheap - only about $4) Showy Sink Trap and the bottle trap (the one which you can unscrew to clean, i cleaned before but not effective). Bottle trap So far, the drain flies population decrease tremendously. Only 1 or 2 can be spotted. Guess they are the last 'mohicans' or drainees, hope so.
