Aiyoh....the electrican / painter remove the trunking for this cabling and stacked heavy stuff on top of it and one of the glass fibre wiring broke and there's a box attached to it, was also removed and dumped on the floor. As we change all our wiring so they also dismantle this. Blur blur loh....luckily we specifically point out to them before we shift out that this is to be retain but the instruction was not passed down. Hence, they have to bear the re-installation cost -> No arguement over it and Willie even suggest we relocate the box so it'll be more convenient for us. Lyn

I'm not promoting Willie but since sgnick mentioned I also need to quote my case. My basin was perfectly fine when it was first arrived, then a few days later when it was time to install, he actually called and said there's a chip in a corner, asked me where i purchase mine and he'll get one replaced, he suspected his men damaged it. My cable for the open net was also damaged by the electrician, no question asked, he bear the cost for the replacement and my hubby was there to witness that a new cable was being replaced. I'm impressed with his honesty lah, he just joked that he lugi $$ again each time this kind of thing happened. Hence, towards the end of my renovation, I have complete trust in him and will definitely recommend his service to relatives and colleagues. Lyn

For my case, I deal with Willie directly as he's my Contractor, Vincent will cover for him if Willie is tied up with other commitment. To be frank, you'll have to supervise yourself daily. My hubby actually go down to our flat daily and contact Willie if anything goes wrong. It's not possible for Willie to supervise our place daily. Lyn

I just pm his contact to you. Regarding the quotation, I think it's better that you get him to quote you. As the price will be different if you're not getting him to oversee everything. For mine, everything is taken care by him eg. from tiling, electrical work, carpentry and etc. So he can give us better discount. There isn't any hidden cost and towards the end of our renovation I am more certain that he's a very responsible and trusthworthy contractor. Do have a chat with him, he's very experienced and if my hubby and me can't agree on something, he'll be the decision maker for us. I'm glad that I have chosen him and my renovation process is a great experience.....we can't wait to move in this Sunday. Will upload our pic in early Nov once I settled down. Lyn

I'm not sure if it's alright to share? Is it a norm in the renov forum as my contractor do give goodwill discount at the end of my quotation? My contractor is Room for Ideas and so far the feedbacks are positive, you can do a search in this forum to find out more about my contractor. I'll pm his email address to you and do get him to quote for your place, his may not be the cheapest but it's the good carpentry, prompt response & great after sale services that is crucial to me. My colleague used him and introduced to me. So far I know 3 of his customers that are very satisfied with his work and hope I'm the next in the list. Lyn

Skali what you see is not what you get......ahahahaha...but I'm sure my Contractor Willie is a responsible guy, so far 2 of his customers that i know has good relationship with him after the project is completed. I will definitely post more pic, I think it's fun to start this blog and hope for a great ending with nic pics to share Lyn

Yes and we are praying that Willie who's over seeing our renov can ensure that by 30 Oct, the house is at least ready for move-in with minor touch-up work. Lyn
