Our 3D: Kitchen We are changing the top cabinets colour to pearly white as the black makes kitchen look dark! MBR MBR Bathroom We wanted to keep the existing wall tiles of the bathroom but because it doesn't suit our modern look, we decided to overlay the wall tiles and get this look. COmmon Bathroom We are not doing a vanity top for the common bathroom. Ignore the vanity in this picture. Love the mosaic!

The flat is 18yrs old. We wanted to have a complete overhaul of the kitchen and common bathroom One good thing is, there isn't much built-in except for the kitchen cabinets and the MBR wardrobe. Once owners remove all the furniture, the house is very OK except for the blue kitchen which i do not like, that is why the overhaul for kitchen. Here are some pictures of the house: Kitchen: This blue is originally from HDB. The colour makes the kitchen look very dark. Dining area: MBR: The MBR is very spacious! After being quite a silent reader in renotalk, except for the active thread in sound system from hubby, i have decided to create a t-blog for our home. We bought a 4A in Bishan and we collected our keys on 23rd July. Since we are not in a hurry to get our flat done, we were slowly sourcing for IDs for 2 months in June & July. The IDs we shortlisted from Renotalk are Summit Design, A&D, CJ Ambience and Plush Living. Due to our wedding preparations and work commitment, we were unable to meet more IDs in that 2 months. But meeting these 4 IDs were enough to get us started on what we wanted for our home. We settled for Darren from Plush because we find that his quote is reasonable, sincere in doing our business, and we were very comfortable with him. He did not recommend unnecessarily and even helped us save on certain costs. Ok so here is our floorplan:

Go get it if u feel like it... I already purchase my Onkyo 608+Def Tech 600 Frnt and rear, subwoofer+Def Tech 1000 Center combi. Just waiting for my house to be renovated. The reason on why I choose only to upgrade the center speaker is because it can better handle the vocal part. I am now still considering whether shld I upgrade my subs or not.

I went to check it out the 40' inch Sony LED tv yesterday. I really like the matte screen as compared to those samsung LED tv. This means that the TV will be less glaring as those compared to Samsung LED TV (Glossy finish) when we are watching in a brighter room. Moreover, their speakers are below the screen which means that the sound will be better than Samsung if you are considering to mount it on the wall. Samung LED TV speakers are at the back of the TV, which means that sound can really reach us directly. The best part is my OC prefer the sony one as she say that it is less glaring as compared to the samsung.

Ermmm....maybe u can go Alphehi to walk around. I believe that it hard to get a good sound system with really nice design. My 2 cents worth.

Anyone here uses Fujioh FX900 Hood?? My concerns will be ease of cleaning and reasonable suction power for light cooking. We're still not sure what brand of hob to get. Seen reviews about Rinnai's burners that will get rusty after sometime. Any comments will be appreciated. Also, anyone here going to organize a group buy for Hood and Hob???

That y i put soundproof material in my car....even thou it not 100% sound proof, at least it manage to make my ride quieter and enjoyable.

Ermm...maybe all my mp3 files are all 128kps...no wonder it dun sound good when i play it in my car.

Hi, I am not a expert in this kinda of sound system. But IMHO, i find it quite pointless to buy a IPOD dock and play using your sound system coz the music that come out from your speakers dont sound as good as using a CD. If you intend to play MP3, you can just use ur PC speakers to play it. Just my 2 cents worth.

Hi Bro, in my previous reply, I replied that i paid a low 2K for the system which include cables and installation. KEC mentioned that they will do the tuning for me after the installation. But dont based on what I have bought as your benchmark. Coz every system that I have tried that day, the sound is totally different. At the end of the day, get a system that you prefer and budget.

Errmm, let me do some research on this velo sub that you recommend. Do you know does KEC carry this sub?
