Take a look at the pics. Will you accept these kind of workmanship? Super pissed off with the contractor, already delayed 4 times and finally done up with such workmanship. first, second and third delay says the tempered glass cracked at the thin area where the hole for the switches are. Fourth time, manage to send the glass to my home but they forget to open another hole for the switch and keep insisting I put on a new switch without telling them when they did the measurement. Ok, now fifth time, the hole for the switch opened offsetted, WTH!

Hi, For those using all white laminate for kitchen cabinet, can u see the black joining line at all the edge of the doors and the frames? I saw some ready make white tv consoles, shoe cabinets, the edge are very smooth and u don't see a single black joining line. but my kitchen cabinet can see all the edge joining lines. the ID told me because the back of the laminate is black color and when they join, the edge sure can see the black line, is this true?

I am also doing an all white kitchen cabinet, and i notice the edge joining part can see the black line... is this ok for those who have white laminates cupboard? The carpenter told me it's common because the back of the laminate is black, and when join, the edge sure can see the black line. is this true?

For the benefit of those who want to see how using LED strips instead of normal T5 as cove lighting. Previously I have been searching all over the forum but none can give any help. Just go ahead with the trial and error and it turns out to be too good! Not as bright as T5 but bright enough. The color here is warm white (3000K), LED size: 3528 90LEDs per meter. Uses 2x 12V 2.5A and 2x 12V 5A adaptor.

For those using downlight, do you see light seeping out between the light plate fixture and the lightbox or is the fixture perfectly sealed to the box that you can't see light seeping out from the edge?

Hi, Is it normal that there is a gap between the cove light holder and the L-box? Can't see but when you put your hand under the cove holder, you can feel the gap and also the light from the downlight bulb will split out and shine on the ceiling. Is this normal? Or it should be totally sealed? If not sealed, I'm afraid insects will go in and make nesting...

I was thinking of DIY too, luckily didn't cos when I saw then cut the hole for the downlight, I was like "OMG thank goodness I didn't DIY and it's no no for an already stay in flat, cos the the dust from the plaster will cover ur entire flat! " For contractor, refer to http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...mp;#entry592817

It is normal that the line between ceiling and wall to be painted a bit crocked or do I expect a perfect straight line? I saw the paint at these corner like a bit wavy, should I accept it?

Means if I use E27, once the light spoil, I can easily buy the bulb and change it myself, right? And no noise from the defect ballast as well
