  1. hihi, Thank you for visiting my reno blog!! I'm glad that my ID did a good job in project management for me. Otherwise, I would have gone bonkers!! I apologize for the belated reply as I was busy & unwell recently. I fell sick frequently due to 5 yellow star in my bedroom, coupled with sickness star 2 in this month, and I spent most time on my iPhone in the room!! I have already cured both negative stars, but still down with flu & fever. Thanks goodness not a serious one, but is taking longer than usual to recover!! Yes, I'm using City Gas instant heater which supplies hot water to 2 bathrooms and no problem with the rain shower.
  2. Hi, Bro Hong

    Contact sent! Thank you.

  3. Hi, Chriswl Thank you for dropping by my reno t-blog! For record, I have PM you the contact number of my ID. Here, wishing you a smooth reno journey in advance!!
  4. Oh, Ladies The famous quote 'Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder', so each person has her innate beauty based on her own unique life experiences. My life is full of obstacles and challenges from the day my marriage hit the rock! But this doesn't mean it is the end of world. Our actions and perceptions will impact on what others see on you. I also believe that everyone has at least one good attribute that can make them more attractive to another. Anyway, beauty is only skindeep but ugly is to the bone!!! So, we don't let life overtake us, we can age graciously!!
  5. If you are interested to read up more on house FS audit, you can visit my blog and read the audit of a resale flat which my sister paid $1K option fee but decided to drop it, which is more 'scary' than the 'toilet problem' you faced!!! Start looking at the beautiful renovation... http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=35996&st=1273 Then.....the problems come!! http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=35996&st=1323 http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=35996&st=1476 ...external features to avoid: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=35996&st=1395
  6. If we draw the 9-grid square for Type D houses, the toilet did not occupy the whole sector of the centre grid. There is still walkway in the centre of the house. So, still not completely 'finish yet'.
  7. Next question you should ask your FSM is whether the Main Door, Bedroom and Kitchen of your shortlisted flat are in the correct beneficial sectors of the house which is more than important than the toilet!!
  8. In FS terms, it only mean that you won't benefit the Wang Qi when the auspicious stars (like Paladin mentioned above) are located in the toilet, because you are not spending time long enough to benefit from the good Qi. Nowadays our HDB toilets are build like hotel '5 stars toilet'. There is no such thing as 'toilet flush away health or wealth'.
  9. Yes, you got it right!!! My son bought a giant Japanese Odachi Sword!! It is 1.9m long sword. Although it is blunt, but you can get it sharpen and the edge of sword is actually quite sharp!! My son told me that he has been eyeing this sword long before his 18th birthday. So, immediately after his birthday, he is 'licensed' to buy it from a basement shop at Raffles Place MRT Station, shop name is 'Caesars @ Raffles Place' (www.caesars.com.sg). Now GSS sales and all products come with 20% discount for members and 15% for public. My son paid around $410 including a stand for the Odachi sword. Next week, he is going to buy another piece called 'Katana'.
  10. Bro RB Thank you for your advice. I will give them a ring soon!!
  11. Your FSM should be able to advise you that if you are down with such 'affinity', no matter how many times you choose the house, you will be ended up with a house with the same 'toilet problem'! That's why I always tell myself that although I have FS knowledge and have learnt what kind of house is considered 'Wang San Wang Shui', I will never get to buy this type of auspicious house if I have no affinity with that house!! I bought my flat 12 years ago before I learnt FS, and now, I prefer to renovate my house (not FS perfect though, with missing corners) and live with it as I am happy with the surroundings and my neighbours!! However, for new home buyers, the only FS consideration I will give is to avoid buying a flat where toilets & kitchens are in the centre of the house. Just live with it...you can never get a 'perfect' HDB home, unless you want to buy a piece of land and ask the FSM to design the house for you!!
  12. LOL!! The picture was meant to show RB how I look for my age so he does not recommend older ah Pek for us! Both Maydream_1 and myself are just joking here...don't take it seriously!! Almost time to delete my picture in case the poor chico Pek really comes to my blog!!
  13. Finally have some time to lunch at the scenic Water Village yesterday and a last minute visit to the shopping centres at opposite side of the street. On the top left picture is the GM of our Partnering firm in Brunei. On the bottom Lower right is our Project Manager, who will be leading this project if awarded to us. I will be posting up some pictures of the defect works which the plaster guy came to rectify for me couple of weeks back. Now I know why the pastering wall bubbled...it was caused by water seepage from the external walls...similar to the problem at your balcony. I think I have to alert HDB to do something to the external wall. I will also be posting up some pictures of a 'dangerous' item which my youngest son bought last weekend!!! You will never believe that he likes such kind of metal objects!! Anyone like to make a wild guess what did my son buy??
  14. Tomorrow I will be free from 1:00pm onwards, after lunch with Partner and dropping off the tender submission. So I have half day free time and let's see where they bring me to....maybe water village?? OK, let me focus on reading your career path & give you my recommendations! For now, remember this: Everybody has difficult years, but a lot of times the difficult years end up being the greatest years of your whole entire life, if you survive them." - B. Murphy
  15. Tomorrow I will be free from 1:00pm onwards, after lunch with Partner and dropping off the tender submission. So I have half day free time and let's see where they bring me to....maybe water village??
  16. One night is enough to kill me to death....back to hotel so early and no places to go, besides the 'chilling place' at level 2, and dinner in the hotel. I wanted to take a stroll outside the hotel, but the whole area is quiet like a ghost town. I thought I can walk walk and look see look see if I can find any rich ah Pek! kekekeke...but not a single soul on the road at this hour!! Thank you for the advice on bringing the moisturisors & stuffs for my 'stan' trip in July. The itinerary now includes ChengDu, XinJiang, Xi'an and Beijing. Ya...will be a dry & hot journey during this period of July.
  17. Dear Brother No problem...when I go back to Singapore, I will contact you. You can give me a list of problems you faced and I try to predict your luck for the next 10 years for you!!

  22. My ID's kung fu is in Interior Design! This is what his BaZi Chart says about his personality trait: (he won't visit this reno blog for sure!!) My ID is an intelligent guy and has a Thriving Structure type of chart. It endows him with the ability to connect with people and inspire others. So, my ID should tap into his creative talent and inspire people with his work. Hahaha....so my ID only has creative talent ....no martial art kung fu!
  23. Bro RB Actually, we are looking for Ah Pek, not OLD Ah Pek! I'm already 50+ but that the photo of that rich man you posted cannot lah, so definitely a NO NO too for May. We don't mind the age, but the Ah Pek must also look young like me! (This photo was taken just 2 days ago!! Finally get rid of pimples!!!)
  24. Bro Drexter Yes, there is a normal manual switch and this has to be switched ON for the remote control to work.
