  1. actually for such blockers, the flash horn and beam will only make them more stubborn not to give way. only way is still to stay behind till the chance comes to pass him via the 2nd lane as you said and get in front. make sure the "1st to 2nd and back to 1st lane in front of him" is done so swiftly that he has no chance to speed up to block your path in front of him. There must also be ample space in 2nd lane, if you can only do the 1st to 2nd lane and end up only beside him or slightly ahead nia, chances are you will not be able to cut back in front of him without the vehicles ahead in 2nd lane now blocking you.
  2. i go offer to be car valet for the SHELL management at SHELL HOUSE.... think can get good bonus also i am still far away from getting this... hai...... by then petrol SGD$3/litre
  3. hai...oil price go down, petrol price will still hang on, waiting for the next oil hike again and go up hand in hand again.... both up together, but only oil price come down.... think have to go apply job at SHELL liao Shell's 'obscene' £13.9billion profit is biggest ever by British company Shell smashed all-time British company profit records today, posting 2007 earnings of $27.5billion (£13.9billion), and immediately ran into a storm with union leaders, who are demanding the Government hits the oil giant with a windfall tax. Shell's profit surge - it is now making a staggering $75million (£38million) a day - on the back of a booming oil price that touched $100 a barrel this winter, was labelled as "obscene" by Tony Woodley of Unite, the UK's largest trade union, as Britons struggle with soaring energy costs. "Shell shareholders are doing very nicely while the rest of us are paying the price and struggling," said Woodley.

  8. Greycat - Puppy spray with amonia may not help at all. The best and cheapest way to get the same effect is to rub off a little bit of pee on the newspapers, and leave it in the spot where you want her to pee. They will know. I realised that praise is still the best mechanism to train a dog, especially for one that is so eager to please, they will pee at the right place, then come "hao lian" to you for a treat!
  9. If the material is not suitable for drywash, let us know If the material will stick together, DONT fold them together and imply "it's like that, just too bad" And there was absolutely no apologies or attempt to offer a solution. Was appalled by the service attitude in particular, not to mention the damaged curtains which has to be replaced, obviously. Sigh
  10. I sent my black out curtains to cotton care for dry cleaning the week before chinese new year. Upon receipt. Cotton Care called me to inform that there were some black stains on my curtains which they may not be able to remove. We told them it was fine and just do what they can to dry clean. They did not mention about the potential damage to the latex face. My curtains are blacked out on one side, which means, one side is of latex material. When they were returned to me (last week), they were folded together, with the latex side facing each other. Pressed hard together, and kept in their van for a few weeks, the curtains tore when we tried to open them up to hang. After 2 emails and 1 call to Cotton Care, I finally got to speak with their manager, who tol me that "black out curtains are like that one" . No solution was offered, no apologies were made. They have not also previously informed me that the latex will tear. Felt that Cotton Care should not have folded the curtains this way - on full knowledge that the latex will tear when they stick together, they went ahead to press fold it this way. Not to mention that I was upset with their "just too bad" attitude. Anyone with experience/solution to share?
  11. Fifi does this recently as well.. simply refused to do it on newspapers despite coaxing/reminders (she was 100% accurate on newspapers last time) and just pee on floor, and dash to cage immediately when we raise our voice. Haiz... need to find a solution.
  12. Hi Skywolf - beam **** room - if you really want to rid this, speak with contractor/ID. Could possibly arrange for PE to evaluate and hack if it's not structural. Of course, you need to pay for PE fees (I paid $400 or $450 for mine) and hacking fees to your contractor/ID.
  13. some say you got to punish the dog at the moment where it is in the act of doing the wrong thing. Then it will register in its memory that it is the wrong thing to do. Afterwards, punishing it will render it clueless over what wrong it had done. But then I do notice that even when we notice the pee/poo after quite awhile, they seem to be afraid and *know* that they have done something wrong. Or perhaps it's just our tone of voice that scares it. hehe So, the best is still to catch while about to pee/poo, a FIRM NOOOOO, and then bring to where u want.
  14. wow... that's cute!... the bowl didnt look very big when we saw it, but he can fit in so nicely.. and wink at you somemore. haha

We went for our honeymoon and left her with our parents at Pasir Ris. Watch how she immediately claim the property of Yuki (JRT) and guarded it tenaciously. Even the cushion owner (Yuki) cannot do anything about it. 拿她没办法 Yorkshire 1 : 0 Jack Russel
  19. MORE RECKLESS Dr Ryan Hong, 34, assistant professor at the National University of Singapore's department of psychology, explained: 'Adolescents and young adults tend to have an exaggerated sense of invulnerability to danger. Sensation-seeking as a personality trait peaks during the teenage years, during young adulthood. 'It is quite possible that youths are more sensation-seeking and thus engage in risk-taking behaviour without much consideration of possible negative consequences.' Of the 10 drivers The New Paper spoke to, four felt young drivers were more reckless. According to senior sales executive Jeffrey Goh, 31, who belongs to a car club, it is their lack of experience that is their undoing. The driver of seven years said: 'If you've never met with accidents before, you won't know how scary it is, and you'll be more daring.' Another reason Mr Goh gives is that younger drivers tend to have a 'hotter temper'. The driver of a modified Subaru WRX said: 'We're guys and when we see others challenging us, we won't give up. 'It's very mysterious. When you want to play, there's no family, there's no wife or girlfriend. Your mind goes blank, and your temper goes up. You just want to beat the other car. That's all that matters.' Engineer Andrew Chin, 28, who has been driving for 10 years, agrees that younger drivers tend to be more adventurous, and so, drive faster. He says it is not unusual to hit 180kmh on expressways in Malaysia. But a driving instructor of almost 30years, Mr Bob Sim, feels accidents do not happen because drivers are young, but because drivers 'do not understand how a car functions'. Mr Sim, 60, said: 'So many drivers read their theory books just to pass the test. Many drivers on the road cannot really control the car. They know only how to drive fast. http://www.asiaone.com/Motoring/News/Story...0224-51142.html
  20. wait till u look at this, this was when we first got Fifi , enjoyz she runs to the end of the mirror, thinking that she will continue to see her *fren*, the mirror ends, she must be perplexed as to where the *fren* went, and when she came back to mirror, her *fren* waiting to play with her again...LOL http://video.yahoo.com/watch/2107480/6645937
  21. If you/your spouse drive as fast and furious as the rx8 above, then probably u need the total loss coverage.... otherwise, if the savings is substantial, then just go without that clause lor. If not much difference in price, then get the total loss coverage lor. No harm getting more coverage.

  23. Confirmed no one died...heng !! Car wrecked in freak road accident, passengers escape with minor injuries ANOTHER car with young people inside flew off the road on Sunday afternoon in a spectacular crash, the third serious accident here in less than a month. While the earlier accidents resulted in five deaths, the four men in Sunday's crash escaped from the wrecked Mazda RX-8 with cuts and minor injuries to their faces and shoulders, said police. The men - who are in their early 20s - were travelling along Yishun Avenue 1 towards Seletar Club Road around 1pm when the almost-new Mazda flipped over a guardrail and onto the pavement. The impact triggered airbags on both the driver's and front passenger's side. The injured men were taken, conscious, to Changi General Hospital, the police said. Meanwhile, the car was badly damaged. Traffic police statistics show that 29 car drivers have lost their lives on the roads in the past two years and nine of them were under 30. Many more young drivers get into non-fatal accidents. In 2006, out of 1,283 drivers who were injured, 250 drivers were under 30. Figures are not available for the number of passengers who were killed or injured in cars driven by young drivers. http://www.straitstimes.com/Latest%2BNews/...ory_209935.html
  24. hehe..if this accident did not kill the driver and his friends. I hope he becomes a better (and safer) driver from now.
