yeap, better ask your gf who has gone thru the process of importing. can save u alot of headache. hmm, better make sure your SIL goes to visit only after her classes 35 tables quite alot, ours was 28 tables, tried to make it 25, but ended up with 28 eventually..hehe true lah, somehow u showing some signs of an *impulsive buyer* heee !! but the temptation too great lah, yorkie puppy leh, super duper cute one.... !!

About 2k odd, local one. Actually yorkies around mid 1k odd can get but the smaller ones are pricier cos supposedly more *rare* and more *cute*. but beware hor, small may bring along health problems also. noticed some yorkies are becoming bigger boned like silkies and their body shape abit longish, so not easy to find a nice one. however, yorkies are cheaper in HK/TW, just that have to go thru the process that you are having now. How much is your Oreo in NT? we visited her a couple of times to make sure her temperament is good and so on,definitely did not want a bad barker at home. she was very composed, most other puppies were wailing and barking, but she was not barkish and yet responsive to us. then we had to make sure her quiet nature/ well mannerism -not equal to- underlying health problems, that's why the subsequent visits to ascertain. almost wanted to get her the first time we saw her. managed to resist the temptation though. true enough, she is a darling at home, no unnecessary barking unless to tell us someone unfamiliar comes in thru the main door. she did whine on her first night home, we put a clock to let her hear some icking sound so that she wun feel alone. from 2nd night onwards, she was fine. *what's yours will be yours* was true for this case, so dun worry too much about Oreo, u meeting him in TW is the 缘分 between u two

got ours at pasir ris. mini yorkies come once in a while though, have to wait months to a year before you see them, and also, u may not like the particular one for one reason or another, so have to wait for the next round again. yeap, but no choice have to quarantine though, but seems like if the puppy is from some countries, need not quarantine one month. dun want to pat tor with your donut lah, wait scarly come out one shihkie or a yorktzu then jialat..haha..just kidding

Hello Oreo! Great to see another Yorkie in Sengkang Ours is a gal, about 8mths old, maybe can pat tor with your OREO next time, 姐弟恋 quite popular.....haha

The window panes appear fine. My experience with that HT team was good, they knew what they were doing and they even helped me plan how to hide trunkings so that they were not be visable at all. They mentioned that it's very normal for them to remove window panes to shift the aircon over to the ledge, using a plank placed diagonally across. I think I (as a onlooker) was more worried than they were. They even came to install the aircon over 2 days without extra charges/complains (working till 8 odd everyday) when they realise that it's really too much to be completed in 1 day. All I could do was to buy them packet dinner and drinks.
-
that reminds me, must service aircon soon
-
quote from your blog actually u can we did the same, the only casement was that funny side, the rest all sliding, we also have a window on the casement side. actually what the aircon men did was to remove the window pane, and then they have the whole window access from the 3 panel side to move the aircon condensor units to the aircon ledge, in fact, we had 2 big units as can be seen. the condensor units cannot go thru the casement side, in fact, even without windows, i think they are still unable to negotiate that tight angle..unless the unit is very slim...hehe

actually, prices of some restaurant dinners on weekends are actually cheaper than some hotels on weekdays but we youngsters nowadays, want class/ambience, want budget also...so there comes the problem of finding a good compromise between the 2. actually i believe some of us here would have gone without the dinner if not for our parents preference. not that these requests are overly demanding or watsoever, we are our parents' darlings, definitely they want to let friends/relatives know that their sons/daughters have found their happiness and so on...so good also to make them happy lah my dinner was about half a year back and 28 tables
-
Actually the purpose of having a dinner banquet is for friends/relatives to enjoy the day with you. and thus, i feel the best atmosphere/mood is when everyone knows they won't have to drag their feet to work the next day, or attend your dinner wondering what time they should leave. and thus, Fris/Sats are always the best. Esp Sats, everyone comes to your dinner looking fresh, beaming. Whether they come straight from home or leisurely saturday activities, beats those coming straight from work on weekdays, bringing along their fatigue looks and so on...*trying to smile very hard* while thinking about work and facing the boss next day..haha If it's all only about oneself and his/her spouse, then forget about the dinner banquet and just do away with the dinner ba..hehe...save $$ somemore but understand that if it's mainly cos of parents and so on, then just get a cheaper hotel venue, restaurant instead of hotel, and one will be able to get his/her dinner done on a weekend without bursting one's budget did not make a loss on my saturday dinner, actually made a provision for loss about 10k or so, but fortunately, did not happen

Hi fellow compassvale-sians Finally reported in. 297A EA.

Nice idea that you removed the louvers. Looks better this way i think... Any windows/dividers going to be put up in it's place?
-
This is prolly one of the things that we should have done better too. We only plastered one wall, coz it was an eye sore. Now that we settled in, we kinda regret not asking contractor to plaster more walls. HDB walls really tsk tsk.... Guess the striking point of Singhao's house is that there is really so much effort put into the entire place. All the pictures and careful furnishings, they scream "effort". Sidetrack, I think Singhao's photography skills are not too bad. He managed to decently capture our humble landscape!
-
frankly speaking, in terms of aesthetics / dollar spent, yours is the one of the nicest, if not the nicest out there seriously. !! really can see the effort you put into, 2 THUMBS UP

at the end of the day, if the insulation is not enough, you may want to consider changing the insulation around the entire house, else, there may be a high chance that you will see the same prob recurring somewhere else in future.

blueberi: your ID definitely must tear down the box and redo the aircon in those area affected. In fact, what you should do is to turn on your aircon for very long periods these few days and see where else is affected so that they can do it once and for all. Otherwise u may end up fighting forest fire, this area solved, then next time another area starts again. Get it resolved completely since it's still under reno warranty period.

Yup, the common toilet's really small and the bar fittings will fit best into the MBR toilet. MBR toilet comes with moisture problem? That i didnt realise. I thought the 2 windows in the MBR toilet's is mainly coz the size of the toilet allowed it.

Hi snowiee, you are right, these chairs dun get warm/hot after sitting on them for hours and the posture is very good, used to get backaches sitting on normal chairs at home/work years back when offices started using these chairs, decided that just gotta have them at home as well, as i started to come home from work without backaches There is a small counter at Taka Orchard that sells these chairs, Park Mall/Vivocity has a shop that sells too, the official distributor is below: Herman Miller Asia (Pte) Ltd 3, Anson Rd #10-01, Springleaf Tower Singapore 079909 Phone : (65-) 63275488 -
Kancheong King... Where To Hold Customary Dinner?
compassvale replied to Phantom's topic in Wedding & Travel
Hi Fifi, yes, it's four seasons and it's the gold and black theme. The coordinators felt it was very "gala". We had a lovely experience, not only with the service, but also the pillar-less ballroom and all other facilities. Hi Air, yup, FS is >1k per table last year. (excluding alcohol). And typically, bargaining for alcohol related perks are almost impossible. Can remember how much wine we took from them, go back check the invoice. When we did our rounds, we also shortlisted intercon, coz of the huge bell shaped windows (just like FS). But it isnt cheap either. So we took FS instead, for the size of the ballroom (30 tables just nice). My collegue who attended a wedding at intercon 2 yeras ago, still remembered their splendid sharkfin's soup. Not sure it's it's still so good now. -
CPA = certified public accountant. So unless you are doing accounting and want to be recognised as an accountant, you may consider dropping this. I dont know the details of CFA, but from friends taking CFA, it's is more than just business analysis and market research. Do take a look at the course details. Both certifications require a specific pre-entry levels, so do check .
