As of now, the progress are looking good and workmanship-wise, really nothing much to complain yet however will do further checks when most of the stuffs are up. One thing to says though, some of the cabinets are really high up. Esp if you take a look at the kitchen cabinets, my ID practically make full use of every inch of space... Wifey was complaining that she can't reach some of the cabinets, would need to buy a pretty tall ladder to reach some of them. Here's a look at it... Look at the L-shaped at the corner, tot it look funny somehow hahaa But we are not complaining about the storage space though! haha. Right now, only the shoe cabinet is not up... but the stuffs are already delivered to our house... make us pretty excited to see the end product of it coz that's my wifey most loved part... Would post a pic once its up! Next wk, ID would start the installation of the sink, basin and taps all tat.... and our forecast hand-over date is 20th Feb which is pretty sooner than what we expected!

After seeing the progress, we were pleasantly surprised by how fast this is moving... Went to our MBR and at 1st look, A closer look at it.... and wife was excited to open it up to see if she got enough space for her clothes hahah Walk up the platform to see it from inside. So far so good Went to check out the MBR toilet and was surprised at the amount of side boxes.... 1st look though Look at the side boxes! wifey decide to put some plants up there hahaha

wow been a long time since i last updated this as there's were no progress due to CNY... First and foremost, i wish everyone a 龙年快乐，龙众发财 ah... Back to the topic, we had a brief discussion with ID b4 CNY on the interior of the wardrobe and works were to be resumed after CNY.. Little do we know how fast our ID is working on this project... AS we wanted to change the interior of the wardrobe after a few houses visit during CNY, we made a call to him on the 5th day of CNY and he told us that it can't be changed as its already been sent for production b4 CNY and he told us that it be up soon.. dunno to or be happy abt it hahaha But oh well since we can't change it, we decided to concentrate on getting the necessary accessories for him to install asap. He told us that the cabinets and wardrobe could be up on 2nd of Feb thus we decided to pay our house a visit to see the progress and BOY were we stunned! hahaha The 1st thing we went in and we saw this: The Living Room TV Console!!!!! Looking good! Moving on... to the KITCHEN! Wifey was pretty excited to see it! Then slowly we make our way to thru the Common toilet and this is what we see there! Small but niceeee haha then the study room!

haha actually i think taking bus to SK MRT would be faster. My gf live in SK and i have never took the LRT b4 to her house coz i would just take the bus which is faster and nearer for me to walk to. haha

Eh in my opinion, i think that order of Electrical , False Ceiling then Carpentry sounds the most orderly. coz when u do electrical will have trunking, then try to use false ceiling to hide some of it, then after that rely on carpentry to cover whatever trunking can be covered. But that's just my thoughts as my reno is still much WIP ... so maybe others can help you with it. hahaha

yeah we actually shared the same thoughts as you, but in reality, the kitchen is too small for that. I still rem my ID face surprise when he was there doing the measurement.... quite stunned by how small the working space is.. so we had no choice but to change. haiz. the small kitchen of new flats nowadays. not encouraging pple to cook. hahahaa

As the previous kitchen design would leave us with minimum working space, we decided to remove the oven cabinets and put the oven underneath the stove. However, my ID went the extra mile to provide his design by having small air-vents on top of the oven for the hot air to escape if necessary. We also added cabinets on top of the fridge for more storage space. haha Here's the new kitchen design pic:

Wah you just make me have an idea where i should be this coming wkend. Been reading up on leather sofa and it seems that this place is a gd place to get gd quality leather sofas! many thanks for the heads-up!

haha that's pretty close to us! yeah it be better to do after CNY liao if you are not rushing for it. From what i hear from my ID, they are getting rdy to stop work and let the workers go back for CNY le... so that y for us, we din really rush him to finish it... Hope you have a smooth and stress-less renovation too!

hey potatoes, everything going well so far. not much hiccups yet, but cross fingers 1st! ahaha so far, it has been close to the 3d drawings. For the colors, we will see more of it when the carpentry starts. Yeah me and my wife are looking fwd to the final product too! Will definitely post more pics when carpentry starts :0

Hmmm the schedule ish not with me now... but for mine, there's not much demolishing as its a new flat... If i'm not wrong, here's a draft schedule of how it proceeds: Removal of MBR toilet and sink for overlaying of wall tiles Tiling starts, Fridge, kitchen and washer base included Wiring 1st Piping then. Air-con trunking 1st trip Setup of false ceiling Installation of down and cove lights. (Hanging lights later stage) 1st coat of paint 1st round of washing MBR Laminated platform Would meetup with ID soon for the schedule after CNY... so far everything is up to date and looking gd. We still need to get the various toilet accessories and stuff 1st though. hahaha

As it was near the year end, not much work was being done for this period of time but they did a 1st round of washing though. My ID also inform us that they be doing up the laminated platform on 4th Jan. Therefore we decided to go take a look that day to see the finished product and we were pleased with it. All this would continue after CNY which would buy us some time as we have yet gotten the toilet accessories all that.... Doing reno and planning for a wedding both at the same time is so mentally draining! but hope everything turns out fine for us!

Most lights have been delivered except for the hanging crystal lights which be delivered at a later stage. Installation of the downlights and cove lights are completed. After the overlaying of toilet tiles and constructing the bases, next up would be the construction of hte false ceiling. was there on the day when ID was giving instructions to the workers on how to do it as the shape was diff frm what they usually do. here are some pics Living Room False Ceiling MBR False Ceiling Living Room False Ceiling up! We arrange with the ID to start our reno in late Nov / early Dec. But b4 that, he dropped a bomb on us by saying that he has quit the ID firm and be starting up his own firm. yup ard 30k... haven't add the electrical all tat =\ yeah its abit 3D for the shoe cabinet ba not exactly polka dots... Definitely lor, we been scouting for a sink and toilet bowl that it's a **** tedious process coz got certain dimensions to align to. hahaha Nope, we din make it a storage solution my fiancee dun really fancy the idea of it and budget wise , it will be abit siong on us...
