  1. No one would have been the wiser had Lim Chai Meng not crashed his Ferrari at Nicoll highway last year.
  2. LG gave 10 years motor warranty. Since Bosch brushless motor is of course, more durable, their warranty must also of course, be longer than 10 years?

  4. Biggest advantage of front loader is that it is gentler on clothes. The washing action is a tumbling one instead of twisting. All that twisting in a top loader stretches fabric. Cotton T-shirts visibly suffer most at the hands of a top loader's agitator. Collars gets stretched, hems get wavy and shirts lose shape.
  5. I think no diff. "Tromm" is the name LG used for their laundry machine range. They have dropped that name. "Inverter" is not saying much as all LG DD motors are of the inverter type.
  6. Steady lah brother. Two posts ago you have trouble grasping the concept of drum speed vs motor speed now you throw words like 'asynchronous' and dazzling us with motor control adspeak. Will there be a lecture coming up Ffoffessor?
  7. FUNKY DUDE

    ahha haah

  8. Just like your wondertwin, lapena, your powers of deduction matches your consumer reasoning skills. Let's see... cromodora likes the LG WD14331 so he must = LG salesman. (Must be super specialized salesman as they seem to let him only promote one particular LG product and even then he is only promoting this particular washer specifically when it is selling at $900 or below. This must be because the fantastic margins earns him much more than he would have selling Miele. Better ask him got lobang at LG or not. Getting more difficult to promote on snob appeal alone here. People nowsadays research on the net before buying. Not many suckers left in spite of our spamming every thread to get people to buy our German machines. I know this thread is titled "LG or Samsung" but still we must try mah...)
  9. I'm sure the lapena/leafania wondertwins have set prospective LG buyers rethinking again... Hmmm let's see. Buy LG for $800, 2 years general warranty, 10 yrs on motor alone and believe local users like "strata" above and others or.. Buy Miele at $3000, 1, yes only ONE year warranty and pray your experience will not be like that local Miele user. All you have to do is ask yourself..(squint and try to sound like Clint Eastwood when you say this) Do I feel lucky?
  10. Even at $900 I'll join you in the swearing ceremony if the Miele conks out slightly after 1 year like Mr Waleed's.
  11. One more time just for you. LG Wd14331 at $900 is excellent vfm. I never say it is die die the best machine in the world and you should buy it even at $1600. I am not a one brand man like you. My criteria for buying most things is value for money. I want to get the most bang for my buck. Currently for washers that honour goes to the LG WD14331. It is an older model but not obsolete. It still appears in LG Singapore website as a current model. Its features compare favourably even with the latest models of any brand. It has been more than 7 months of happy problem free ownership. Its performance remains stellar. If Miele, any Miele drops to $900. And offer 2 years warranty, I too will say buy Miele. Capisce? Rinse. Repeat if necessary.
  12. OK lapena I'm sold. I bought my WD14331 at abt $900. You sell me a new Miele at 1/3 more than that I will buy it. I'll even round up. Give you $1500. One year warranty also nebbermind.
  13. This is not news to me. I'm sure I came across all that before I bought LG washer. And its not all. Have you read the Australian consumer site as well? They are all part of what I mentioned in the first sentence of post #10 earlier in this thread. I'd be more interested in local LG complaints and warranty issues. Do you know any LG front load washer complaints like the unhappy local Miele owner you highlighted in the Miele thread ?
  14. Is that it? Your groundbreaking expose on LG? Just a class action lawsuit against front loaders in America? Americans site their washers in their basements. Most American use big top loading machines. These don't have door seals and rubber channels needing wipedown. So when they change to front loaders and treat it like a top loader, you get problems. If you don't take precautions such as wiping the seals down or leaving the door open when unused. You will have mould and mildew problem especially in damp environments like basements. Its not an LG only problem. Miele also about to kena. Read here. See you at the Miele sale!
