Oh u mean nobody had selected blk 90 yet, be it SERS owners or WIS? That's the one furthest away from the MRT right? Its has a good view, cuz at the corner of the junction of Queensway and Commonwealth Dr; think if facing the right direction, some hi-floor units can see orchard road. -

The only thing I can think of is that you should buy a new bed in 2009 for the wedding ceremony. For wedding's 'an-chuang', you should use a brand new bed, don't use the current one that you are sleeping on. -
Hi guys! Just found out on MyHDBPage that I can collect my keys next Monday!! Haven't check my mailbox yet, think the official letter will be in soon. Can't help out feel the excitement...three and a half years just fly past like that... Hmmz, told my wifey and she just brought me back down to reality: $$$RENOVATION$$$ Better go see my back account a few more times, soon to come back down to double-digit liao...

I dun remember seeing any special names leh...aiya, I am not really into such things lah...hehe, maybe its a guy thing. Think for these my wifey can click better with you... Ya about the space between the queenstown cc and mosque, they don't seemed to have any plans for it. Is there any construction fences put up?? Hehe I really go home blindly one, don't look around...

Ya I did, but I am not going to advertise for them here, since I haven't even started to use their services, not sure good or not. They charge by the hours spent by their principal designer, senior designers and junior designers (different rates for all). Estimation comes up to about S$5k. They will give me working drawings, spec sheets, paint colours, etc, which is supposed to be so detailed that any phua chu kang can understand.

So is there a letter signed by both buyer and seller or not? If there is a letter then you are quite ok. If I am not wrong, before that the 2nd appt comes, you should write in to ask the HDB officer to change the date. Don't just sit there and MIA on the date itself. From mid-Mar to end-Mar is not very long, so just come up with some crap reasons like outstation and such. However, I think HDB might want the other party to agree also - so best to get the joker agent to come in and handle this.

Not sure which caterer you going to, but I think most caterer will not make alot of difference in food quantity if you add 5 pax - don't waste the money lah. Also, I usually do not order the exact quantity according to headcount; you need to factor in people who might MIA, last min cannot come, or eat already then come, or paiseh don't dare to eat too much, or don't like the food so eat little bit only, etc etc. Also depends on the demo of your guests, how many friends and/or relatives, how many male/female, whether big-eater or not, etc. You should know your guest best so I am just giving you the considerations to think over. I dun have a lot of experience ordering buffet lah, but from past experiences there is always alot of wastage if I order for the exact no. -
Well I am not exactly looking for wordings or any specific works to be done - in fact I dun even know how it is to be done! Hehe... What I was asking is whether they had done this before so that they can give me the appropriate advice, eg how much excess space from the dimensions of the scruplture, any standard height (like if we want to install an altar, there are predefined heights to adhere to, not suka-suka drill onto the wall at a height that we think it looks nice), whether need to make a hole at the face of the scruplture, etc. Erm maybe I should put it this way: I need the advice of those who are an expert in doing this, or at least has done this several times before and whether are there any photos of their past works to see. Hehe...am I asking for too much ah, after all its just a display box! But since I value this alot I want to do it right mah... Think I will pay this Miss Chen a visit by this weekend...appreciate your help!

I think this is a good idea - there are alot of so-called IDs who 'bao-ka-liao' and design for free, usually not very good designs. I am planning to pay for a design house who only provides design services, and get a contractor to do up my home, base on the designs, working drawings and specs. If I want the the ID to 'bao-ka-liao' and oversee the whole works also can, but they will outsource to their selected contractors and charge me a professional fee. So I prefer to get their drawings and work with my own.

Thanks for your advice! However, are they familiar with boxing up such FS scrupltures? Even though it may be a simple acrylic cover with wooden base, I am still hoping for a religious-looking base with some simple designs/carvings. Anyway, you have anyone I can contact at Dama? Thanks...

Not sure where to post this, but just trying my luck here, probably hoping that people into geomancy and FS will know. I want to get a display box for a FS sculpture that I had bought recently - those that are used to contain Buddha statues or other scupltures to prevent dust. Can anyone help? Thanks...

Yes, so clever! Wait wait, I better explain more lah, wait everyone here condemn me as the Typical Singaporean of the Year! During the wedding banquet I did 'compensate' her for the lost proposal - I surprised her by kneeling down on stage in front of our guests and promised that I will take care of her for life. Then when I stood up to kiss her, my 'xiong dis' pop confettis with 'drama' background music - the overall effect on video is like a scene in movies when two lovers finally got together like that!!

Erm, because we already exercised our OTP??
-
Yup - its some kinda new technology that digitalised the signals; which means you won't have any noise or 'half-past-six' blurry images. Its either got image (which will be very clear), or no image at all. But alas, in Singapore our antenna is still not fully HDMI yet, they are still testing it. So at the moment if you got HDMI-capable TV and DVD players, it means you can get good images if watching DVD, but if watching TV it will be the same as watching on analogue (red/white) cables. Can also read this for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI

Here's my 'lomantic' proposal to wife, if it counts as a proposal at all: One day at my place, I was surfing the internet and she watching TV on the bed... Me: Dear, how to spell your dad's name and what's his NRIC no? Wifey: (blah blah) and Sxxxx... (continue to watch TV) Me: Ok...erm, what about your mum? Wifey: (blah blah) and Sxxxx... why ah?? (sounds abit frustrated) Me: Oh, nothing - registering for ROM date lor. BTW 5th Sep you are clearing your leave right? I put that day ok? Wifey: ????? Hahaha...

Haha, I guessed as much. Well just want to share with you such absurd advice is coming from a fortune-teller... Thanks for all the feedback...
-
Trust me, terms like 'zen', 'contemporary', 'modern', 'rustic', 'balinese', etc, are all overused and had lost their actual meanings.

I heard from a fortune-teller that one should only choose a flat/apt at high floor if s/he is a hi-flyer/achiever, while those whose life is fated to be average should settle for lower floors instead. Is there any truth in this...??
