  2. lolx bro, ur comment is best manthe amount of works to tile up, i either should hire a conracto, or just heck off the whole area... sticking bamboo and hardwood also wont work as the cement work by ny father is no where near flat or good.
  3. scotch tape isnty strong enough. if it is, it will peel off the paint.
  4. erm sorry? i thought generally, white tape is good enough?
  5. blue tac is not strong enough. u may need wall tape.
  6. possibel to paint urself, but do prepare for a long journey. try to divide the place up, do one room at a time, and should be able to coplete at least 1 room over the weekend. i have done mine myself, ok but yes, i am 25 only
  7. bro u dunnid to take every single oppotunity to promote u items
  8. i am not 100% sure, but i do relised that it very seldon happen to framed mirror. regarding how to DIY a frame, i would say, dont do that, it waste money and time, and the effort isnt owrth it. i suggest u get a pre made frame, or u straight away buy a ready made framed mirror, which shouldnt cost much.
  9. or if u are on a very tight budget, u can use poster as wall paper design, or just put posters on styleform baords, painting the side edge, and paste to the wall.
  10. well, the door is far too damage imo, i suggest changing the hole door as it would still come off easily if u try to repair it
  11. usually wood and woodplaster can be added to it, but for the door of urs i doubt so... was wondering why u hacked the door out? shd have tried to remove the door knob only.
  12. the 8 tiles are laid time was a bit too late so i continued the next day well, the tiles are being complemented with polished rounded white stones, and the side are decorated with unpolished stones. pity that some of the stones are black in colour. basically everything is done except for the plants. the idea of PVC is scraped, as it proven to be not feasible.
  13. current cost paid: 1: turpentine RM4 2: 8 tiles RM0 3: polished stones RM0 4: PVC sheets RM30 5: double sided tap RM0 6: unpolished stones RM0 7: perosol RM15 current progress Step 1: cut down all trees. Completed Step 2: Clear all roots. com[pleted Step 3: Apply PVC, Tiles and stones design. completed Step 4: Planting trees. Incomplete
  14. hi sir, i am sorry but i seriously dont understand your words except that u are having problem with ur cabinet doors. pls post a picture of the current conition as well as the finalise product u want so that we can help
  15. sanding and cleaning the surface as well as the edge is a must. the paint itself doesnt matter that much. painting with a roller will be better as compared to by a brush. apply a layer of gloss or another layer of paint after the initial layer completely dry will give the wood a better finish
  16. any picture?? preferebly complete view with furnitures can put up framed pictures or poster.
  17. well, i didnt know why so confusing about it: i always ask myself these questions before i choose: 1:budget have a range of budget 2:size 32", 40"? 60" or what? decide urself based on ur room size 3:type: LCD, plsma, LED or SMART?? highly depends on how much and what u use for: do u watch HD? do u need 3D? do u even need internet? 4:branding choosinga brand might seems difficyult, so usually we trim down to wthere u want a branded one or a lower quality ones.... 5:go to courts and ask. usually after these trimming ur choice will be only 5 or less... den u can compare the price and choose from. u may decide the model and buy at cheaper stores. going there is just the check for the range of products.
  18. well since u are so confident, why not give it a try. do post ur progress on the DIY forum, i would like to see that
  19. u can check my garden thread... its just below those grave digging ads posts u made
  20. looks the same but the quality are of course different. i mean, 1 is from germany, the other from china, what do u expect?
  21. u can try to, but well, u may need to see if the size fit... well, making a drawer on ur own, might just be well, not that simple as it seems. not trying to disregard ur ability, but well, it seems to me that this is ur first time doing it. if u can engage a contractor, they might be able to do just that drawers, dont really need to replace the whole cabinet... cost wise i cantread those chinese details as my com isnt armed with chinese, but i wonder if the shipping cost will cost a boom
  22. oh so u mean u thinking of making a new drawer set. i thought u scared of the cost of the contractor? anyway, i guess i can actually help to repair ur current drawer, if u willing to let me have a try, that is... since u have the slide ready, i guess it wont cost more than $10... den again, as i said, i am only just a diy enthusiast and i might not be able to do a perfect job. let say if u are interested u can sms me at 82672174
  23. well, actoally if u are thinking of installing the slide that ur dad have bought, u might take into account of the space which u would take off the wood... that might give u enough space to install the glide. i am not sure what is a "blum set"? can u explain?
  24. currently is the drawer of any slide or wheel? and when u pull it out the the max, will it come out?? as i can see, the drawer set is really rather old, and engaging a contractor is not encourage as the price is not that reasonable for such small matter, since they will take into account of the cost. den again, i am not a contractor myself so i might be wrong. i am just a DIY enthusiast. well, if u want i might be able to pay a visit to actually see if i can do anything, although of course i would say i am under no obligtion to do so... if u want u can pm me to make an arrangement...
