Progressing fast. I want to see the end product of the kitchen.

Wow... I am shocked to see the half kitchen wall tiles still remain there. Luckily you went to the house to check. Seems like the demolition work is a bit slow. Your renovation started the same day as me too.

END OF DAY SEVEN Despite heavy rain, we reached home before sunset just to visit the house to see the renovation progress for today. More sand was disposed in almost every room, except the Bedroom 2 (our future study room) & MBR. The "Porcelain" tiles were still outside the house. I didn't check the "Porcelain" tiles, but hubby said those were grey tiles. I remembered we have changed the toilet tiles to something light, not the dark grey tiles we previously chosen. Other than that, I don't know which part of the house is using grey tiles. After our dinner, we may go back the house and check the tiles again. Just to make sure they didn't deliver the wrong color. View from front door. More sand is disposed in the living room View into Kitchen. Debris is cleared. We noticed water mark formed from the temporary water point. We see slow small water droplets dripping for the point. Have feedback to Kevin, he said no worry, they will do screed wall tomorrow and shift the point again. Actually, I am more worried about our pub bill at end month -
Wow... I definitely like the long sliding door. Is that for study/entertainment room? Who did you engage to do the blinds and curtains?

Congrats! Finally your renovation starts

I agree with you, that the deep pan is a bit too big and heavy, may have difficulty when flipping over. I didn't get to see the physical item, so I anyhow choose one. -
Erm... albert... I can't visualise what you are saying about the "clean cut". NPNT

May: Quite small and thin the pan that my MIL bought. My colleague got me the deep pan from S.Korea. Reasonably cheaper than SG rate. Won37,000 for deep pan, which is about SGD41-45 -

I was thinking of getting one for my mum and MIL. My MIL got conned for spending $79 for the smaller pan (forgot it's the size 1 or 2). Yes, we bought gas hob partly because of the Happycall pan. I wonder this interest will last how long... My friend bought the pan to use on her induction hob, then complain say Happycall cannot work on induction hob. -

Why black and white? Difficult to maintain the theme when you start to bring in other colors. Unless you want to stick on white/black bedsheets, towels and other things, for many years? -

May: Ah... I don't know you are selling the pan too. How much are you selling? Did you create some receipes that can use Happycall to cook? I don't know how to cook. -

Everyday is SUNDAY Shopping This morning, I received my first cooking appliance - Happycall pan. My colleague bought the pan from S.Korea and carried back to Singapore. -
By right By left, the installer should be professional enough to know this trick on how to drill without cracking the tiles right? I know ceramic tiles are easily cracked. Old houses use white ceramic tiles for kitchen and toilets. I saw my father drilling bathroom accessories in toilet, when he realised the crack surfaced, he adjusted something on his drill, and start to drill again. Maybe that was what you referred to as switching to non-hammer drill to hammer drill. Sometimes installers forget about this trick, and when they realised, too late, the crack has surfaced.

DAY SEVEN Both me and hubby has came to a "mutual agreement" - to take turns to check on the house during lunch break. Today is hubby's turn to check on the house. Today there are 5 workers assigned by DeFong to work on our home. For the past two days, 2 workers + 1 supervisor were doing the demolition work. Today, we have 3 new workers doing the cement and tiles, while the previous 2 workers are clearing debris and dispose sand in the house. Hubby took some pictures: The big debris bin is finally here! The bin is half-filled with tiles. There are more tiles to be cleared. I wonder the debris bin can still contain more tiles or not I believe this is bags of sand? (Poor car beside the bags of sand. I hope the driver moves his car away ASAP) More sand were piled in the Living room Some sand was disposed in the room. And we caught one ah neh sleeping in the room. Shall update the end of day work later (after we knock off from work) -

beluga: You can take from me. I have spare heels, intend to throw away -
Is it ceramic tiles? There is bound to have cracks when drilling on tiles. The issue is whether the contractor is willing to rectify/replace the faults or not

White is okay, at least minimal scratches can be shown. If you don't maintain black, it becomes dusty, full of finger prints and watermarks. Both colors have pros and cons.

Your 拜拜 ceremony is similar to mine. Huat kueh, pineapple, orange, joss sticks, candles, joss papers. Congrats for getting your own home

I heard many stories from my mum when she stayed in kampong. Centipedes, rats, insects were commonly found in kampong houses. I don't like cats too. I scared they scratch me or rub my legs. When I see cats in coffee shops, I will raise up my leg or run away
