I experienced cats coming in my parents' house when we stayed 3rd storey. One of the cat slept on my parents' bed, beside my mum. She felt something warm beside her, she woke up with shock, saw the cat beside her. Then we have the arcylic panel tied to the front gate to prevent cats from coming in
-
Not pretty anymore. Spend so much do nice gate, then when look down, see one orbit arcylic panel.
-
You should consider a gate with bottom panel. This will prevent dust from outside coming in your house, cats (especially) from coming in your house, and also prevent water spillage when bangalah wash the corridors.
-
My friend also faced the same problem. Her neighbour neighbour (1 neighbour away) is an Indian family. The indian family is corner house, so no corridor. Instead, they put their smelly urine mattresses along other people's corridor. The Indian's neighbour cannot take it, so the Chinese blocks their corridor with their own mattress. The Indian never gives up. They hang their mattress outside my friend's house since the Chinese's corridor has no space for the Indian to hang their mattress. The Indian family kept a lot of dogs at home. We suspect the mattress urine smell comes from their dogs. So disgusting loh.

Might as well you rent a lorry, and ask your brothers to help you move your things. Then treat them makan, will be cheaper

Wah.. 7 7W led light for kitchen, won't consume more electricity? Though 7 bulbs but kitchen still look dark, or is it the camera's fault? Need to on cabinet lights to make kitchen brighter, like that consume more energy

Contractors should employ ladies to be their QC. Men do carpentry and laminate, women do the inspection before deliver. Afterall women are more meticulous than men.

Huat ah!

If the tile is hard, it won't crack. I think what the contractor means is the tile is too hard, that's why cause it so difficult to install the accessories. Nonsense.
-
ahlipz, focus on the main renovation first. Those you think can do at later stage when you have saved enough then do.
-
Did they try to use silicon or white paste to cover the broken tile in toilet? The silicon used to replace new tiles does really look ugly. Are they going to do something about it?

Trolleys to carry out the debris. I realised they like to leave their shirts behind :X The temporary electrical point that our electrician did. This point will be used until new electrical wires are laid The tiles we have chosen mainly come from Tagures, except kitchen floor tiles are from Hafary. I think not all the tiles have arrived. Looks like the tiles are for the kitchen/toilet tiles. Wah.. 王妃 tiles. Use in palace? Some other tiles are placed outside the house. Don't know people will steal the tiles or not -

They should be clearing the balance debris tomorrow, otherwise they can't lay the cement and sand. Hubby went to the house and took some pictures: View from MBR new doorway MBR floor tiles are hacked View from kitchen View from Common toilet -

Orh hor.... getzski... getzski: Definitely. We prefer lesser trunking running round the house too. Since we are not doing false ceiling, cannot cover the ugly trunking. Having lesser trunking will look less ugly too. -

May: We didn't know at first. We were still happy happy wanted to ask our contractor to do built-in casements for new electrical points/locations, until we heard ILLEGAL, we were shocked. Now everything has to be covered up. -

My house also no window grills. Monkeys will climb in too. Below my windows there is a shelter. Anyone from next door can walk on the shelter and go into my house. I hope my next door neighbour will not see this post. -

Hi Grace. Thank you for visiting, and thank you for your best wishes. My contractor, Kevin, just called me and said it is illegal to do built-in casements, unless the wall is partition. He will tell his workers to cover up the holes. The ex-owner did the illegal way to conceal the casements to make them look nicer. We found they lay electrical wires under the floor tiles too - I think this is illegal too. -
Wow.... Holland houses are so expensive.

Yes Valerie. We previously compared the other 2 room dimensions with the MBR. Somehow we feel that the MBR is smaller, but on the floor plan, it looks the the 3 rooms are equally divided. Maybe my floor plan is not accurate? Either we sacrifice the king bed or the wardrobe, in the end we chose king bed. -

Albert: Good idea. Next visit I bring some for them. Earlier they were asking me if there were cold beers for them. I said I bought only coke, next round I bring some beers. -
Aiyo Albert... See! you are so knowledgeable. If you tell me this earlier, I would have save the trouble not to dismantle the wardrobes myself. See, you should start a t-blog ASAP, before I get conned in paying more, and you can help more noobs like me.
