The debris bin can be quite expensive. Best is leave the disposal/dismantle to the ID/contractor. Unless you know someone from construction industry, they normally have a big debris bin, can help you dispose FOC or at minimal costs

The permit put end date 16 April, but might take another 1 week for rectification, if there is any to rectify. If everything goes smoothly, we should be moving in in end April.

I think there is not much things that you can do about this. Maybe you can call the law firm and tell them that the ex owners are not staying here, and you are the new owner for the house, so don't send any letters to your house anymore.

Pirvan, I tried to visualise the triangle kitchen in mine, but can't seem to fit in the triangle. Is that laminate flooring or wood flooring? Looks pretty. I love the bathroom stone feature wall. You are quite daring huh... Despite difficult to maintain, but who cares? Beauty is the key word. hahaha... Terrain, the laminates come from a catalogue book called White Logic. You ask your contractor or ID to find you this catalogue book. I like the laminate that Choco84 chosen, especially the line texture, feels like real wood. I personally feel that this laminate can be used for features, shelves and wardrobes, but not in wet kitchen. The texture does not feel like it is water resistant kind

Hi Pirvan. Thank you for visiting our t-blog, and thank you for your best wishes. I understand how you feel, including myself, can't contain our excitement. It is natural that we will check on the house every now and then because we want our home renovation to progress smoothly, and ensure we and ID/contractor are satisfied with the end results. Everyday we look forward to moving in new house, afterall this is our new house. In future if we move again, we will still feel the same excitement because we are having a new home again.

Once carpentry is up, you wish your renovation don't end so soon because your next biggest worry will be moving your barang barang to new house

Hi Valerie. We do not intend to do box up for the pipes in toilets. We will leave the pipes expose in case the pipe leaks or downstair neighbour complains leaking, we don't need to remove the box to fix the pipes. BTW, this pipe you see now is an air pipe. Kevin will let us know if HDB allows us to remove this pipe. If approve, lucky for us. My hubby sacrificed his lunch time to go back home and check on the progress. His office is not very near from home.

END OF DAY FIVE We appreciate Kevin's workers hard work and effort today. Demolition work is almost completed. Tomorrow they will continue to do the hacking, and our electrician will come in to remove the wires. Hubby tried to climb over the debris to take a look just now, but he couldn't get into the kitchen because the entrance is blocked with debris. I didn't go in, standing from outside I could smell the pungent smell coming out from the house. The smell could have come from the toilet bowls. I was standing outside the house, chitting with my new neighbour, at the same time apologise to them for the disturbance during the renovation. I hope they will not be angry with me.
