edd, our storerm smacked right in-between the living hall & kitchen! i dun quite like it. u've hacked it away for gd; i've hacked it but re-erected it (as i still prefer one to keep all the bulky & unsightly stuff) into the originally big kitchen to make space for a bigger living rm.. haha! @ NSW paiseh! hijack a bit of ur blog space

he got expand the original storerm space a bit for the planned study.. overall, a lot of hacking & re-configuring.. this is no way for our petite 3-rm lor.. sob sob!

Many of us hv gone to length to make sure every inch n corner of our reno is well carried out, n we can't help but get upset over lousy job done or bad purchases. But at the end of the day, 住下来了往往也就算了.. 好不茅盾 right? Haha!

Bcos of the folks, like u, i had gone for more a conventional contemporary approach n the worksmanship ok nia (though many of my friens n those who came for viewing - ya my ID got 3 groups of his potential clients to come view - oso said quite gd liao), but u make it sound like "wow"! Haha! Think will try to go off track a little nex time for a more thematic, character look n feel! Hee hee! Glad tt u r resolving ur issues wif ur ID n carpenter. Sure urs will turn up jus great too! bro, u r going thru exactly the same journey & frustrations as mine!! even the cut corner of the fridge base (& also the wm base in my case) exactly the same.. my ID told me is for safety purpose which i fully agreed, dun u? haha! (z3phy - guess hv answered ur query on behalf of ah beng.. kekeke ) sure our IDs not the same person (who chgd his name to hide his identity)? wahaha The 3D drawings shd give a close impression of the real thing.. i show u my 3D drawings vs the real thing later let u see... heehee!

gd for u! ur id oso fortunate to hv a gd customer like u! but still keep an eye lor. there were few occasions i went dwn & found some works not done to my requirements or were done wrongly. hv to let my ID know quickly before more mistakes were done or they became irreversible.. that's why i frustrated when he didn't respond promptly. then i realised he trusted his workers very much so he did not go up every day to check himself.. sorry to be a nag but jus to share my experience lor..

Ya, our ID firm is one of few bigger ones ard that doesn't charge GST.. dunno why leh looking at their turnover sales.. mayb they absorbed it, mayb factored in liao. Anyway, when i was comparing quotes, their quote was slightly lower than those that charge GST. Oso, it was the only firm i came across tt offered 5-yr warranty (they hv been around since 1982 so should be reliable) Plus my ID seemed quite gd & sincere & knowlegeable at that time, except for his slow responsiveness tt i complained to u lor.. haha! These were some of the reasons why i chose them.. As for carpentary works, i was told 3D has its own carpentary workshop [i oso understd that 3D has its own electrical company, etc (it's a group of 3D companies) & does not sub-contract] But when i spoke to the carpenter(s), they from JB & 'work with' 3D on projects.. so some of the subsequent recitifcation works not very responsive. But i didn't bother to ask more since towards the end liao. Mayb u can tap tap more info from ur ID & carpenter(s).. hee hee! I'm curious to know! Thx bro! Overall the carpentary worksmanship still quite ok. Hope it's gd for u too!

Oh then not really wor. Hv come across another bro who had quite positive comments on his handsome ID from 3D. Too bad i only ventured upon his blog after i engaged mine.. Then there was a nightmare case where the ID ran away & had to be followed by another. So ours not bad le. Guess it's actually heng suay one la unless we engage thru recommendations like the few 红牌 contractors/IDs in RT..
