Ya, throughout the process i had oso been making noise, nagging, suaning.. n he kept assuring me.. but oso like tt lor.. think we too nice guys liao.. lol! luckily i staying at my bro's plc jus few blocks away so can still wait & monitor closely... by the way, where u staying now? no urgency to move out ba? Errr... mine only 3-rm (resale though).. started 2 Apr 12 (cos 1 Apr is a Sun & Apr Fools' Day) & handed over only on 24 Jun (though i shifted back on 10 Jun) u say leh? When the initial hacking was completed & debris cleared like in jus 3-4 days, i was like so impressed "wow!!".. then it's been clawing since... ID promised can 搞定 by end May, so my temp storage at Extra Space was until end May initially. Due to the delay, (besides pushing back many of my scheduled deliveries) i had to incur another 14 days of really-extra storage cost!! To make up, i then nego with him to pay for the polishing of my living hall floor tiles (bcos he oso din do protection - he said heavy-duty tiles no problem one - but i found the surface not as shiny as i thought it wld be, which i argued was due to the reno works carried out on it).. but in the end he only co-paid half of the $380 polishing fee.. but at least something lor.. haiz!

Ha missed this another 3D's client.. but dunno satisfied or not leh... looks like no updates > a month liao.. by the way, got mention above the id is Jason..

Oh, if u look at ur floorplan, those think black lines represents walls or beams that cannot be hacked.. For example, if u look at makanology's floorplan (http://www.renotalk.com/forum/topic/58479-loft-iklektic/) all r black thick lines lor.. so she can’t knock down anything let alone the whole storeroom, which she wanted very much to… I look at urs no prob lah! put heart!

Ya better meet on site with all parties to sort it out.. got chance to U-turn better U-turn.. otherwise once wardrobe up that's it! Air-con trunking has always been a headache, especially for those with build-in carpentary.. really cannot just leave it to the air-con guys, or even the contractor or id.. haiz!

The water pipes looks ok. As for the air-con trunking, indeed a bit err... & OMG the condenser mounting like so haphazardly done!! Think u better let the contractor know for safety sake! Ur air-con guys did exactly the same thing as mine, i.e. ran the trunking above the skirting in the MBR (see my pics below) So no choice but to live with a gap between the headboard & the wall, which i can still tolerate. U see the wall behind the bed? There used to be a hollow (wat's the term for this har?). It was boxed up but only after the trunking was run!! So part of the air-con is actually embedded in the box-up! When i saw the trunking & quickly told my ID that the box-up should be done before trunking, he just said "放心啦!" 你说惨不惨?! U can oso see the trunking is running into the wardrobe.. My MBR (see air-con trunking running above skirting) My MBR (air-con trunk run into hollow before box-up)

Think lawrence mounted it onto the ceiling directly.. the false ceiling/cove light is at one side of the ceiling above the dining area...

err.. silicon & grout cement are different. but ya, i agree with vacanthost tt MK should consider matching color grout lines for the tiles at the steps..

Oh, jus to clarify my kitchen only plaster ceiling cos all the walls r fully tiled (incl behind the kitchen cabinets) On a side note, for me, even after plastering the walls oso not perfect like those new pre-fab units Mayb it's the workmanship? Mayb that's the prob wif old flats (mine >25 yo liao? Wat's the experience of other bros n sis?

It's a inconspicuous slip-road (on ur left if u coming from Tampines Link) along the old Tampines Road, after u pass a few temples. MK - you intend go all the way East from the West to eat BKT? me too me too! i'm the one who did up substantially my carpentary design, & i'm the one who did up all the technical drawings & dimensions to my carpenter instead of my ID!! for that, I even rubbed him: "shouldn't a part of ur designer fee go to me?" LOL!!

MK's journey has been quite eventful even before reno starts - still remember the drama of the sellers - but so far Mrs E has remained cheerful & positive! I'm sure things will turn for the better.. in no time, it'll be over soon.. 加油 both!

Yup! That's what i came across in some t-blogs.. do up the wash basin in the bedrm outside of the bathrm. So it's do-able; jus need to modify ur plan a little. As for the design, 就要看 ur ID's 功力 to commensurate with ur overall design..

Yeah!! One contractor nia. Wait for the rest to come back first ba. Sometimes, IDs/contractors may lead u to an easier or cheaper route (for their own convenience - some IDs/contractors simply dun wan to waste time checking with HDB for u) which may not be wat u want..
