That depends on how your gas pipe is going to run. Sometimes they may need to drill a bit, and those guys may not bother to patch up... and sometimes it has to run behind the cabinets in the kitchen. For my place, that idiot broke a tile and did not bother to patch the hole with cement. You can always install a safety valve to turn off the gas supply at home if you are worried.

Don't have to be girls. Can also be married women who just give birth... they will sms your hubby in the middle of the night also. I tot there are a few other brands such as endo, la gourmet?? Yesterday my MIL bought one small thermal pot, can cook soup for 5 people, it is dunno what brand, and cost only 29.90. Seems to work pretty well. And I used one while I was a student, just toss in my ingredients in the morning, bring it to a boil, and I get pretty good soup/porridge at night. Don't ask me for the brand of the pot, it was brandless.... made in taiwan or something like that. And the one I use, even though it is brandless, it does keep the food pipping hot for the a few hours while it keeps it warm overnight.

My gf bought a repurchased flat from HDB. Place was in pretty bad condition, think HDB only changed rivets, taps, and rubbish chute for them. But they asked neighbour and apparently flat has been vacant for 2 years. So they think nevermind, flat has potential and they spend a bomb to redo the place. Then recently they apply for starhub cable, and find out the previous owner owe them a lot of money. And apparently previous owners owe Amex money also (amex sold bad debt to private company to reclaim debt), so they getting letters demanding for money... and have to go through all the hassle of sending parties photocopies of new ownership. So now they have to worry about previous owners still using their IC (not updated one) to borrow from loan shark. But this is heng or suay ones right?

Need to ask you something funny, I thought only HDB can hide wire trunking and that renovators cannot? At least that is what the HDB officer here told us when we ask if we can hide the wiring for our renovation permit. But then I don't think he goes round to check every completion of the renovation works... he checked ours though. But it is totally nice that your trunking can be hidden. Actually their colors are fairly similar. Originally we had ours painted in ICI, but because we have new walls done up, the walls cracked. So we painted over with Nippon paint, the type that is supposed to cover cracks. Liked Nippon better overall, as their colors are slightly richer, feels as though there is more depth to it, plus it covers cracks.

Ahh.. I don't have false ceiling in my place. The corners which are darker are lit up by floor lamps, and little table lamps etc.

I went to Woodlands branch. There are stuff under home and gardens, plus interior designing books. Also the library carries magazines which may be helpful for your research. You can also walk into NYP library during their school hours (before 5pm, if not you cannot exit the library). They also have a collection there for their design students.

Err... the floor feels smoother (compared to when the fine grinding is done), and the color is slightly darker than the original wood colour (you can take a piece of spare parquet and dip it briefly in water, the clear varnished color will be able that wet parquet color). Sometimes you can see the varnish at hard to paint corners, like at the skirting edges. You see some varnished uneven tones. Don't know if that helps.

I will just suggest that you do a little research at the public library. They have plenty of books there, and they come with nice pictures. Just find the picture/style you like, and show it to your ID. Some of them just use computer graphics and magazines for their inspirations anyway...

Parquet doesn't only come in one color. You can use different types of wood for parquet flooring. You can check out Jason's Parquet showroom, they have various types of parquet flooring and colors there. Jason's Parquet

They say have to soak in water, so that when they paste it on the walls, the tiles and concrete will not dry out too fast. Cause if it dries too fast, the tiles may not stick on properly, and may slide/fall off the wall.
