  1. I also agreed with Shawn. Why the victim need to apologise to you? You left the company only after 13 July 2012, means you are fully aware that EHG is facing difficulties fulfilling and delivering customers' orders since late last year. JohnPang you really better think carefully before you anyhow post, anything you wrote can be use against you in court.
  2. Most likely no one want to undertake this job, unless you personally know people in the furniture making industries.
  3. TS got big kitchen, can do 2 islands, 1 for preparation, comes with sink; the other cooking station, with gas hob and island hood. The shorter empty wall can do a tall cabinet from wall to wall, housing fridge, oven and microwave, coffee machine... etc. The gas and water pipe will come down from ceiling in 2 easy accessible column. The drainage will still be using 4 inches in diameter pipe to reroute the waste water.
  4. I kiasu + kiasi so i would use Blum 50 kg Tandem drawer track and use solid wood to construct the pull out tray instead of using solid plywood.
  5. If you add the 5 ports gigabit switch i added to my MBR, i have more LAN points/ports than you. 3 LAN in MBR, 2 for 2 computers, 1 for TV then bought a blu-ray player also need a LAN point so add a 5-ports switch, then bought a HTPC need another LAN point so plug into the switch, the TV also plug into the switch.
  6. From the techie point of view, 2 LAN points in MBR is not a lot (i have 3 in my MBR ).
  7. Not sure if iQuartz has thickness of 20mm and 30mm, so far i only heard of 15mm and i dont like them due to the fact that they have limited colors. Originally i was prepare to pay higher price for SilesStone Zeus Extreme (voted the whitest quartz in the world) 20mm thickness, on measurement day the sales came tell me no stock for 20mm, ask me to take 12mm but price no change ( ), immediately contact CaesarStone to come take measurement and confirmed the 20mm thickness. Out of the 3 brands, iQuartz is the cheapest. Mike said it's from China but i think is made in Singapore at their plant in Senoko(i maybe wrong). CaesarStone is between $200-$250 per foot run (pfr) in length and from what i know they have 2 factories, the first one is in Israel, the second one which is also the newer factory dont know where. SilesStone Zeus Extreme is $280 pfr, made in Spain. Diamond is 10 on the MOHS scale Natural Quartz is 7 on the MOHS scale Man-made Quartz is 6-7 on the MOHS scale Granite only has about 20% of natural quartz in them so cannot be same hardness as Man-made Quartz.
  8. A word of caution, the black color drawer track may give way very fast cos a full gas cylinder is very heavy, the drawer tray wood may crack too.
  9. TS's U shaped kitchen is going to cost a bomb if use my carpenter. If money is no problem, hack away the store for laundry area (washer/dryer), if need to have a store then hack part of study and convert it into a store. Can build island in kitchen with a column from ceiling running both the gas and water pipe in it (not box up, but build with easy access that can act as a salt and pepper cabinet. A wall to wall full height cabinet at the shorter end of the kitchen to house the fridge, oven, microwave... etc.
  10. My kitchen cabi installed with 1X900mm and 2X450mm Blum inner drawer and comes with Blum cutlery and utensils tray (the cutlery and utensils tray alone cost $1000), the main reason for using Blum is that the Hettich cutlery and utensils tray are ugly. Standard drawers consist of 6X900mm and 4X450mm Hettich double walled drawers. Love the Hettich double walled drawer (made in Germany), they are stronger than Blum in term of construction. The bottom kitchen cabinet are all drawer unit. All hinges are using Hettich Sensys hinges, quality more superior than Blum. Lift-up system for top cabinet are using Blum cos they make the best lift up system in the industries. Originally i planned to install 2 servo-drive mechanism for my top cabinet at additional fee of $900 each, but was talk out by my designer friend after he brought me to Blum showroom to try out the lift up system. Kitchen cabinet alone costs me $7,030 while the CaesarStone quartz counter top costs another $4,000; a total of $11,030.
  11. Always trust the trusted brand and rely on the shop/installer(s) that gave you good experience in the past.
  12. Can try to apply wax and polish it. May need to apply many layers.
  13. Hi panda88, If your undermounted "stainless steel" sink starts to rust and you wish to change to a new one, most likely may need to hack away the counter top and kitchen cabinet where the sink sit on, can be very painful on your wallet.
  14. Both you and your wife should let go for now, family comes first. Remember to show us the picture of your dragon baby.
  15. Red wine spilled on marble is not just corroded the polishing, is sip into the marble cos it is pores in nature.
  16. Sorry for the late reply. I'm using bi-fold (not PD door) door for my toilet.
  17. I gave each immediate neighbor (left, right, top and bottom) voucher to buy cake at Bengawan Solo, on the envelop i wrote to thank them for their kind understanding and patience when my unit is under renovation.
  18. Your wife already said your contractor very blur, very disorganized... then the more you should constantly remind him and breezing down his neck, not just simply boh chup. Not asking you to know when he has resources to continue to work on your place, just remind him will do. I am trying to share with you how to manage your reno to ensure smooth progress, why you say this is stupid assumption?
  19. If you put it this way, then who suffer? Most boss are too busy or cant be bothered, then miscommunication occurred, delay happened again and again. Bear in mind you are engaging a contractor, not ID; you are suppose to do the ID job, coordinating with all parties to ensure smooth progress. EDITED TO ADD: my reno is different, my best friend whose is a architect builder do the job of ID and all coordinatiing works for me with all his various group of workers (tiler, plaster, builder, painter, cleaner, hacking crew, carpenter, plumber and electrician) to deliver my place in 5 weeks with no delay, from complete tear down and rebuild.
  20. He maybe the boss of carpentry but he is not the carpenter. Same as my carpentry... the one quote the fee is not the one that do the measurement, the one do the measurement is not the one that fit the hardware. Although they happen to work in the same company but they are really different people for different job.
  21. remember to BREATHE, RELAX and ....
  22. huh??? the Joker contractor is not the carpenter, you should work with your carpenter directly since you know the main con is a Joker. i agreed with May_dream1, get ann to relax and let you deal with the Joker. baby and mother are most important!
  23. I'm using Jupiter Delphi for about 4 months now and everything is ok. Kemp Trading gave a tupperware to keep acidic water but we find it too small, we bought 2 big red pails for acidic water instead.
