  1. i thot someone supposed 2 save money ?? :notti: later ong sao
  2. eh...if u're buying 2 fans, would it be cheaper to use the US freight forwarder recommended by ong ? we're using that one to ship our fans back...
  3. usually indicated on the item listing, but for so many, they probably can optimise the packing for u especially if u tell them u r shipping overseas...ask the seller for total estimated weight then n dimensions cos probably u will b going by volumetric weight n not actual weight liow...
  4. umm, u abit late liow think it's shipping over to sg in the next 1-2 days...
  5. you mean 物流集中点?then u hv to ask the seller how much extra to 送货上门...typically this is for those items that 包邮 - cheaper for the sellers to ship...may's people will not go and pick up from these pickup points...otherwise, just provide the seller with may's warehouse address and ask if they ship there...
  6. hmm, not a bad price for you hikers/backpackers out there - i bring this when i backpack in less developed countries when i encounter dodgy bedlinen ... 黑冰新品 丝绒睡袋内胆 小体积超舒适 完胜抓绒 - thin fleece sleeping bag liner i've been fascinated with this ever since i first saw it many months ago - anyone knows if this really works ? 韩国产 Arnest 波浪底蛋卷煎锅 玉子烧煎锅/不粘锅
  7. not sure if u need clothes for baby - since u go to US, suggest you go to the GAP store and juz go to the discount racks and pick up all those on discount...buy a big spread of ages especially for the under 3 year old period cos they outgrow very fast...my friend's policy is not to buy anything >USD1.99 this friend of mine is a super shopper - her advice is that every store manager has the authority to put different stuff on sale so visit every store you see to make sure you get the best deals ... however, one item she got here instead of in the US is this, apparently very ex in US: Pigeon Nose Cleaner the other thing u may want to consider getting in US are the various bottles - feeding etc cos i always find that if they label something BPA free there, it will be really BPA free ... here, sometimes i'm just not sure unless i buy the branded (aka expensive) ones
  8. looks like tax rate in new jersey is 7%, but i usually shop in boston where the sales tax is lower (clothes and food no tax for massachusetts except if clothing >USD175, around 5%) ... next door new hampshire is even better, pretty much no sales tax so my friends shop at ikea at NH and truck it home to boston ... i oredi stopped shopping for outdoor gear etc in singapore many many years ago liow... just give u an idea, my salomon hiking boots cost me USD35 when the exact same one costs >S$300 here ... just sayin'....
  9. ummm...ex leh... this one is shell or u can zip a fleece inside as another layer ? my north face goretex shell cost me usd15, another slightly thicker north face goretex jacket cost me around usd75 - all from US outlets during sale... dun buy liow, when i go US i help u buy ...waaaaaaay cheaper there...
  10. eh ong, u like everything also got special price hor ? :notti:
  11. on the side - either a tall flat cabinet (like the one ong uses to house his NAS)? or more practical, mount it really high, but in hanging cabinets instead of shelves so it becomes part of ur feature wall ? something like this: BESTÅ BURS Wall Shelf but with glass door otherwise ur remotes won't work...
  12. Grey ok lah, juz dun do white or beige/cream/offwhite ... those also equally bad... U just make sure u specify the height lah, otherwise everytime u walk past, u or ur SO will hit ur head or have to duck every time... i'm short so i usually dun have to consider this kind of things ...
  13. white sofa - my advice is dun do it cos the maintenance will really kill ya my experience with light coloured fabric sofas only tho, but at least that's washable and at worst, replaceable... feature wall base colour is grey is fine, grey is very neutral and as long as you opt for different shades, it won't be boring... the wall itself the material - as long as it's a laminate with some interesting colour or design e.g. marble like ? Or no need to be even laminate - painting/wallpaper/tile ? stupid question tho - why u need that shelf above the tv ? u got stuff to put there ah ? right now looks funny cos it looks like a visor for ur tv can consider splitting into 2 and the 2 shelves at different levels or something ...
  14. i'm definitely using most of the items i've bought...hee hee i'm just waiting to see where kim is going to put his 2 chairs...
  15. i think kim posted images of his quotation somewhere in pages 40 something, as well as the contact details of his ID...
  16. wah i went to see, so atas !! :jawdrop: too expensive for me i simply went to selffix and bought a 180 lumens torch using 3AAA batteries, cost about $30...
  17. for grout cleaner, refer to what i posted here: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=47187&view=findpost&p=783087 i actually think the DIY for grout is a good idea i probably may do it some time down the road ... hee ... i think to get the colour you want, should be able to mix it urself out of white ? or at least, that's what my tiler did leh... btw, i dunno about that HCLxx thing a lot of ppl r posting about... i'm actually wondering if they are from that company since that's what all their posts are about ...
  18. uhhh kim, i went looking for the fenix lights at the funan store you mentioned but din find the place ... since you guys are torch experts want to ask - i saw in homefix this 180 lumens led torch that uses 2/3 AAA batteries - is that bright enuf for home use ah ? costs like $30 ...
  19. both selffix and homefix dun stock the other one so i ended up buying the same thing as you...
  20. quite good but go early to get those items u want (usually limited stock), b prepared for the hordes... incidentally my bro in law usually buys his light bulbs etc during these sales...
  21. eh...can take a picture of wat u r using? den I ask the guy in the shop wat is the difference. ..
