  1. btw, saw that you are considering a dryer in your blog maybe you want to consider the rinnai gas heater now on promo you can install it in the service yard above your washer i have had a dryer for the past 10 years can't imagine living without one but it also depends on what kind of clothes you have if it's all the delicate, hand-wash-only kind, then a dryer may not be practical
  2. can't say the tai yong uncle provides excellent service just that he is honest and doesn't try to ketok me he also advise me to get someone who know how to do balancing to install the fan this is very important coz the balancing helps the fan to be quiet
  3. actually sometimes not having the chart is better at least you don't feel so sian when things are not done since tiles hacked liao, means can lay waterproofing liao right? then after that tile the floor and walls and install everything right on target liao :notti:
  4. nice? you make me :dribble: leh

  9. i was kinda half lying, half sitting when i took this pix couldn't find a way to take a pix of the whole fan otherwise
  10. hehehe, finally get off my lazy butt, switched off the fan and took the pix sorry for the bad PQ, took it with my hp camera and the blades are too long to get a good pix
  11. i don't have a bombshelter rack using a $29 toyogo plastic rack for misc items and the rest in those plastic boxes with cover brought over some 30+ from my old place
  12. i'd have gone for something like this, but just the cat, the bird cage and the lamp christinetan of this forum could do it for me wanted to get this for the longest time, but still looking for a suitable wall
  13. ranval is one, compassvale is another yorkshires are so energetic, had a lot of fun playing with theirs your niu niu is a girl right? if i guess the meaning of 'her' name correctly
  14. oh my goodness, fish eyes!!! :jawdrop: this is something that i have a weird fear of i can't even stand people eating it and people around me all knows so when i eat curry fishhead, they'll tell me to look away when they are going to eat the eyes actually me no preference and no budget coz i think most of us here have the same budget
  15. your chandelier is beautiful  and your hammies are sooo cute, so tame
  16. there's a solid pinewood rack at ikea that suits this purpose maybe you want to check it out before you make a decision?
  17. hi i only went for the runners coz i didn't like the metal drawers think they all look pretty similar there's two types of soft closing one is just stick some sponge-like thing at the edge so that the sound is absorbed another is to have the drawer slow down the last few cm and close slowly the first can be bought at ikea and DIY the second you gotta remove the drawer and replace the runners if you have a door and keep it closed all the time don't think dust is a problem most important thing is close the door behind you (for walk-in) or close the door immediately after you retrieve what you want (for built-in)
  18. for me it's more of practicality vs aesthetics concrete support for sink is a must have for me coz heard a few stories about rotting cabinet due to leaking pipes, smelly cabinet due to the moisture etc
  19. think we can rule out sukhumvit area since most want to shop? personally have not stayed at sukhumvit area coz the areas i want to go are not there have stayed at novotel siam and holiday inn chitlom will go for HI chitlom coz don't like novotel siam really nobody want to try priceline ah???
  20. i'd go for winkplay coz hdb flats now are quite small a feature wall will eat into the already-pathetic, precious floor space no children still no so bad, once their toys are strewn around you'd wish your living room is twice as large  personally, i'd place the shoe cabinet and settee on the other side of the wall esp if you are doing feature wall coz your shoe cabinet looks 'floating' now without continuity into the unit :dunno:
  21. anybody game to try priceline? maybe we can try see whether we'll get a hotel room within our budget
  22. that's provided if we can confirm soon and book it within these two weeks coz jetstar will get progressively more expensive as the flight date nears
  23. are you going to bake some macaroons with it? :dribble:
  24. my last trip coz is off peak and going on weekday so we spent $550 for two of us, 4D3N on jetstar and stay baiyoke boutique but this time we going over the weekend, think per pax should be around $350 bah
  25. actually just treat them like a lost passerby they won't really kaciau you one lah only rule of thumb, if you enter the room and all your hair stand up GO DOWN AND DEMAND for a change of room this means you are not welcomed in that room
