  1. You can get acrylic panels from Art Friend. Make your own display boxes. Otherwise, Daiso has good enough plastic display boxes.
  2. Ho Bee finished my renovation before CNY. We had a very tight time line (to get a room ready for stuff to move in within 3 weeks), with some constraints but Patrick was true to his words, delivered what was promised, and it had been an enjoyable renovation experience so far. What impressed us alot was the professionalism. Basically the job was delivered as per specifiation and we were mostly at ease while the renovation was being carried out all the way. I think it's important that one has to be prudent in making your decision and don't just depend on this forum's recommendation so we did out homework by doing several quote comparisons. Ho Bee isn't the cheapest, but it's the most reasonable and we like the itemised ala-carte quotation; you get what you pay for. There were touch-ups and minor repairs needed but they were done within 2 weeks after hand-over. All in all, job well done.
  3. Just an update from my last post.. i chose Ho Bee So far very pleased with response and service. 1) Permit applied as soon as we verbally confirmed. (that's mid of last week.. hurhur...) 2) Copy of approval from HDB received in 2 days' time. 3) Reno started today
  4. wah Seashell, i think if i'm you, i would have blasted the tile supplier for sure. It's crap to tell the customer that it's 'not really' anti-stain, then don't paste the label there to market as 'anti-stain'..! One of the contractors that i'd been checking with told me that LSH's tiles are of poor quality........ Anyone else having similar feedback?
  5. hi Seashell, So, did LSH come? What's their conclusion? Just gathering info from others around here.. anyone having similar problems about their homo tiles from other suppliers?
  6. Ya i saw your blog WorldAngel, super nice.. We have our own design and dont need 3D. We produced the same drawing and requirement to all the ID and contractors that we went to. Impress21 is actually more like a contractor than an ID la.. he also produced itemised quote, which is better than those package deals that's really not transparent..
  7. Just hoping to get some opinion here, not so sure if it's appropriate.. I've received quotes from Ho Bee and Impress21 and the final price is in fact almost the same, (though the breakdown prices varied quite a bit). So, between Ho Bee and Impress21, which one would you guys choose..? (urm, i know this is Ho Bee's thread.. so kinda dumb to post this here, but i can't simply start a thread eh.. )
  8. Hi, Could anyone PM me Mr Quek's no also? Thanks in advance
  9. Hi Hi, Someone pls PM me Jason's contact number too! Much much appreciation!!!
  10. Hi Felix, Much thanks for your advise!! I'm appending the compass direction as per what i see when i bring it in the house. So, i suppose it should be correct.. What if i swop the position of the kitchen sink and the proposed stove? Actually i do feel that for practicality's sake, the stove at the existing position of the sink would be better since the wind won't be directly blowing. As for the other door, it's because I think it's good to hack away that wall so that I can still keep my child in sight when i'm in the kitchen...
  11. Hihi, need help from experts here.. My question is : 1) Can i put the stove as shown in the picture? 2) I would like to hack the wall and put a folding door as shown.. advises? 3) how about washing machine? Ok to put there? Basically, the issue is the location of the kitchen being in the NW of the house, and the location of the window which would be opposite the proposed stove location. Would a slight adjustment so that the two are not aligned make a difference from the FS perspective? Many thanks!!
  12. This is the floorplan.. star marks the intended place to build a storeroom. The door shown on the floor plan leading to the WC2 is not existing. Either sealed up by the previous owner or donno what. It's shifted to the inside of the kitchen. Any idea folks..?
