  1. infor from another forum : http://www.renotalk..../3/Default.aspx Today my ID send me the email of (halved cut) receipt from the HDB appointed contractor for sands and construction material Cost is 800. I was actually accidentally call this sand contractor (Ah Soon) when I supposed to call Jalan Besar town council and learned that this is the price to buy the sand from him. Quite expensive, isn't it? This figure It's not yet include Haulage and Debris removal, which cost another 176.55 $ for a 4 room flat. ccording in the river vista @kallang forum, haulage fee must be contracted to HDB ( for the cost of 176.55$) appointed contractor, however purchasing of sands and other construction material is merely a private arrangement between the ID and supplier. Well, I guess my ID just don't want to bother himself by ordering from another supplier. According to him ordering from different supplier might caused unhappiness to the HDB appointed contractor (for haulage and debris removal).
  2. my ID quote me S$850 Cost of clearing of debris and haulage for a new BTO flat in punggol . is this too expensive .??? but from the article below . : http://diva79.blogsp...ion-quotes.html 4. Cost of clearing of debris and haulage **** As per conversation with HDB council, the standard cost for clearing of debris and haulage is always at the cost of $215 inclusive of GST. Do not be surprised when contractor quote you more than $500 and do not get convinced by them when they told you the reason why it is so expensive. Some contractor will tends to tell you that they have rented a lorry to collect debris, this is not true. The lorry is provided by HDB who will do the clearing up. The contractor only needs to pay them $215 and everything will be done properly. Reason: HDB pay outsiders to do the clearing and this is liaise with the contractor and the HDB third party, when only a single receipt will be given. Best is to check with your HDB branch office. HDB only collect debris fees on behalf of the town council cost won't be more than $250. you can get the print out copy by HDB from your contractor .The haulage and buying of sand from the appointed contractor ( you can find their contact pasted at the lift lobby for new flats )should be paid by the contractor or the ID firm engaged .Some contractor or so call " ID " firm will say the haulage fees is home owner should pay ( bout $ 800 or more )Don get CON . All these should be quote inside the contract under the tiling works .Resale flats Town concil don't charge haulage fees as there is no more haulage contractor appointed by HDB station there.HDB bay contractors will tends to quote more in their hauluge fees, pls take note.

  9. hi, same here 9000 for 3 bed room and but 18000 for living room and use ceiling fan to circulated...
  10. how true is this report? or it is created by the linoleum manufacturer??? Vinyl flooring can “off gas” air pollutants into your home, including phthalate plasticizers, lead, cadmium, dioxins and PVC. PVC, or polyvinyl chloride, is known as one of the worst plastics for the environment and human health , says The Healthy Building Network. Companies like Honda, IKEA, Johnson and Johnson, Microsoft, Nike, and Toyota have promised o stop using PVC in their products, due to the serious health concerns it raises.
  11. yah... i am also concerned with the off gas things ... but it seems not much research had been done in singapore. europe , holland is coming with a new material that make from natural fibre and no off gas problem .. but it would takes years before can reach spore.. Linoleum was the world's first resilient flooring. A mixture of linseed oil, rosin, wood flour and limestone pls take note that most spore contractor dun even know what is Linoleum(linseed oil) most contractor just use resilient flooring and declare that it is linoleum . pls be careful ... whom can we trust nowadays...
  12. i think the suppor is also depend how to support.. some support only provide 4 piece of wood lay 45degree to support the corners.. some sink is support using the entire struture from the sink all the way to the floor....
  13. i heard from my frenz renovation... actually the under mount sink is sat on the wood that supporting it then use the solide surface on top so when water sip into the wood , the wood rot and the sink will drop .. i think using integrated sink .... that is the sink and the surface come together .. but change also need to change as whole ... my neigbour below use ceramic as the whole structure for the sink.... i think this maybe a better option.....
  14. i am also considering this HREF.. but the price seem to put me off... how abt inovar flooring ? got smell ?? toxic??
  15. just get my new BTO after 4 years...
