yah.. close one eye liao they think can walk all over us. hahaha... i'm so glad the reno process is almost over. lots of imperfections though. I need to list down where to rectify tonight.. since painter and tiler coming tml. i'm always so last min!

i'm sure many pple do the rehoming by themselves too. we can never trust the shelters to find a good family. your home is really magazine worthy.

how sweet... yup.. glad you're going for adoption but it's making me guilty. hahahah... coz I just bought a doggy. I guess gotta train the pups to be independent for at least 7 to 8 hours. I've got rabbits at home.. so she'll get company from them. my cooker is from JB. bought from KSL basement/ or level 1.. cant remember. brand is Sugawa. initially, what I wanted was purely induction. but all induction cookers with 2 hobs are using 30 A plug (the round kind.. same as a/c) this Sugawa one uses 13A which is the normal 3 pin plug. which is why 1 is induction, and 1 ceramic. I think only the old HDB flats have this problem.. that is only one 30A socket per flat. you're living in a condo rite? so I'm not sure if that will be an issue. honestly I cant tell u yet coz I haven't started cooking. but I've seen the demos done in air con rooms eg expo. and when the guy fry sausages dipped in water first, the spatter was really minimal.

hey.. the powdery feel is really not that bad la.. (at least for me) at least u know it wont get worse mah. over the years, it will feel smoother and less powdery. at least u have an ID to do all the buffing. i believe you're in good hands. my contractor hor... hardly give advice. and everything he oso say nice. (sometimes i test him..not nice he oso say nice lo) sigh... either he's really too nice a guy... or he doesn't have the arty flair.

I did exactly what your ID says. did he mention why do matt? actually this is the look and feel that I want. of coz having the epoxy will look "nicer". as in, it will look "complete" and smooth. but over time, I think the gloss will eventually wear off and will need to apply again. some pple paint over it, but the paint will also peel over time. leaving it bare will have the powdery feel. which i'm ok with. my contractor did warn that the screeding will take 7 - 8 years to be smooth and shiny. he said the difference in texture can be felt when we move the sofa. lol.. we joked that we should buy a sofa only 7 years later. coz the areas we walk on will be smooth but not under the sofa. and pple also warned you abt the hairline cracks? coz my place already have the cracks. many pple cannot accept this much more than the powdery feel. so just a headsup! =) jus4fun, you're always very kind with your comments de. thanks for the compliments anyhow!! i already forgot wat my hse look like previously. hahaha!!

yup swaskie... paid in full le. have to pay before they install mah. I went down once before... to show them photos of their stupid way of laying the pipes. but no use one la... the sales oso cant do anything. this morning din have time.. rushing for work, here's my living room.. the sofa with storage in view! as you can see, the blinds are also up. I got cream coloured ones (abit of light gold tint) for living room and room facing corridor and the grey ones (silver tint) for MBR. the gaps between the blinds quite big. and pple walk past still can see abit la. but the ones in the rooms are ok. the guy who put the blinds also said coz my HDB ceiling not straight, the blinds oso slanted. so the gap is slightly wider at the bottom than at the top. I know the wall paper doesn't look good here. but it does in real life. lol... cant show the effect with hp cameras. Will take better pics when I finally locate my cam.

finally moved in too? =) Welcome to the "most tiring part" - UNPACKING! hahaha... i'm left abt 20% bah... less than 5 hrs of sleep every night.

she's a Jap Spitz and currently 4.5 months old. so excited.. she's coming home tomorrow! reno completed, but not yet handover. (although i've already been living here since 21 April) finiching touches not done lo.. like the painting of corners here and there, the top of doors and conduit also not painted. there's also a cracked tile i wanted the contractor to change. oh.. and all these are pending coz of the glass backing for my kitchen. Once that is up, i'm sure the rest will follow. btw, jus4fun, Worst Tech not done. they coming on 11 May. this is after countless calls to them and many empty promises from them to call me back.

hi all! we just added a family member over the weekend! we previously had 2 dogs.. one pom and one silky. Both given to families (whom we screen prior to the adoption) who love dogs. we had to give them up coz we moved to parents home. i know most of you are into adoption (so am i) but this furkid was "old stock" as the shop closed down. ok fine.. we couldnt resist. go ahead and flame me. will updates pics of her soon. (collecting her home on 1 May) till then, i'm rushing to clear up the mess and finish unpacking.

my kitchen look sth like yours.. but black base and white doors. my kitchen top and glass backing oso black. initially oso wanted all white. but scared dirty la.. and i very lazy to clean.. lol now still have to clean the white doors.

u mean the mr and mrs seller not on good terms with each other ah? lol... lucky they turn up lo. if not drama once again. hate all these unnecessary situations. anyway, my place still is a mess. yesterday got back from work only rush to ikea.. buy our stuff and rush to my parents' place to feed rabbits...(they havent moved in yet. ) then reach home.. try internet.. buay sai. try until 1 am give up le. so many things to fix and clean... endless. i think a need an extra pair of hands. yesterday the kitchen top up liao. din have time to admire oso. just see see, feel for 5 seconds. lol.. tonight will spend more time looking at it. bought our laundry area storage from ikea. tonight fix up. help anyone?

coz 1 LED bulb = 1 W mah.. coz mine got 12 W how to be small? lol. got some same size la.. like the 7 W one.. can also put 5W. today back to work liao lo. i got no valuables la. lol!! we locked the MBR lo. so they have access to the rest of the hse. anyway, only kitchen and the toilet need more work. my contractor will be there too. so guess quite ok. we gave him the password for the digital lock which we'll change the password after that.

hahahaa! yah. does she mean the sticker is random colour? it's like my sis hse.. the window grilles are white. but they had blue stickers only on when they first fix it up. i was telling her, the blue border at her grilles look so nice. hahaha!
