im making a L shape kitchen cabinet, and patrick suggest to build a short tiled wall behind the L shape cabinet. Purpose is water will not flow downwards. But other ID tell me can just make a pane of glass (cheaper). No need tiled wall, which is more exp. Any one face this issue before? Also Pat says better construct sink support with hollow block below the kitchen. Its optional, but recommended. Is it good? Its exp - costs $400

i got pat's quote - but it seems quite exp for a contractor leh.. i did get one ID quote which seems around the same range as pat. hmmm.. ID is also as recommended as ho bee. anyway, before i confrm with pat, i can ask him to meet at my new place? is it to much to ask? need his experienced eye to confirm the measurements, so that he can do a most accurate quote for me.

sorry im so confused and so new to renov stuff. y muz apply for HDB permit. mine is a new flat, some ID told me no need to apply permit cos its a new flat? only re-sale muz apply? however i muight be hacking one wall to make a wardrobe, so maybe need to apply permit then? monkee;s home is so nice wor.. can go n visit? is the workmanship for carpentry and plumbing, etc good? he ok for us to use our own aircon, or electrical pple, right? we need to draw our own layout plan to show him is it? one last qn, he will bring prospects to see his finished works?

do quote from Ho Bee, or other ID have the electrical quote? my fren can get the contractor/ID to quote like how much for per scv pt, or how much to re-run the lights, etc etc. but most id i go to, dont do that leh. is it possible to get the quote? is it better to get them to quote first?

i heard from someone that their service is lousy and quote has a lot of hidden stuff... but i dunno how true la.
