    Nice vertical garden. Seems like maintenance is pretty minimal. About the chengai wood, I heard that most of the older ones are salvaged because it's so difficult to source for old ones which have considerable strength. Do you know where the source of yours is? My parents are also constructing a decking and are keen to use chengai wood though I've expressed quite a bit of reservation because of quite a few experiences which were not satisfactory. If you could share any other experiences or pics of the wood in its current state, would be grateful!

    I shall, soon enough. Been traveling most of this month and back end of the week. Would like to finally move in to my new place. Only had a chance to stay one night so far. Lol Taobao loot should be in by next week. Woot! I also bought some stuff to DIY distress some metal stuff which I am very keen to get started on!

    The guy who sold me the switches told me they are not certified safe for use in singapore or something. You know there's this sticker for all electrical type items we buy here? Basically this one don't have. Anyway I installed a couple at my place. Lol

    Cannot shorten the top row of cabinets above the kitchen sink? The rest of the top row cabinets leave alone lor. The kitchen faucet is too good to give up that easily!

    Haha, I encountered the same problem with the kitchen faucet mixer too! I got carried away and forgot to mention to carpenter that it is 70cm high. So had to adjust my carpentry design. Fortunately above the kitchen faucet mixer is the dish rack, so I shifted it up. Unfortunately had four new holes to mend up.

    Couldn't help but notice the lamp on the bedside table. Where did you buy it from?

    I think most items that are white will turn off white with time. Like painted white walls for instance. Sunlight is probably the culprit, including indirect sunlight.

    Hey ocean, I used peeka. I think one of the more ex tb agents. Their service has been top notch for me though so it's worth every dollar. Each shipment of mine, I spent around 2k on tb so to me the shipping cost is justified. Depends on how much you buy I guess!

    That sink height would drive me crazy! On the up side, changing the height should be relatively simple and won't take more than half a day I reckon.

    hey vi, it's also worth considering the use of T5 lighting situated on top of the top kitchen cabinet to give the illusion of height i.e more spacious

    Vote for all white. The glass will allow one to see through somewhat i.e more visual clutter, more busy and will look smaller The right kind of lighting will help to make it look bigger!

    Thanks Mellenur! I briefly looked at the website and noticed that it is meant for businesses. You can see that there is a minimum order for each item Also there doesn't seem to have any rating for the seller or user feedback so it's gonna be hard to tell what the item is really like. Some people have used google translate to translate the taobao page. Also you can ask around for keywords to search for in taobao. Or you can just use tb links that others have purchased from. Gd luck if you decide to take the plunge!

    hey redder, my reno is finished and I made the final payment to my main con. now just waiting for some furniture and buying decor, homeware and kitchenware. hopefully tb stuff will come in the end of the month!

    I was tempted too since there are legit legrand tmall sellers on tb. However a search on renotalk yielded someone's difficulty as the switches are apparently different from local ones. He had to troubleshoot with his electrician. Perhaps it is electrician dependent. I also bought a couple of multi switch compatible wall sockets. My understanding is that it's not allowed in Singapore so hdb owners prob can't. They're about 3-4 times more ex than regular wall sockets FYI.

    The Berker switches look amazing! I went for legrand Mallia since the price was more palatable relatively speaking anyway. However I'm a big fan of straight edges and Mallia has a bit of curves.

    I think can. I bought a bunch of led e27 bulbs from tabao and been using them in various lamps which have no led driver
