  1. Rack installer from swl came this morning. There were 2 of them and it took them less then 10 mins to install the racks! The shelving system is boltless and the installer showed me how to adjust the shelf easily if needed. Material is galvanized steel but they also have blue and white colors at a higher cost. Loading capacity is 150-200kg per shelf depending on its width.
  2. Hi cookiegal, I quote the following from delon f&q http://www.delonfibre.com/faq1.html. So, 1) a longer patch cord will not affect signal. 2) choose the cord with the correct green connector. Blue connect still can use but will cause signal losses.1. Will it affect my broadband signal if i choose a longer fibre patch cord? No, it will not affect your signal. However, one should be mindful of not to bend the fibre excessively (example: sharp bend, U-shape shape bend). 3. There are two types of SC fibre patch cord available in the market. One with blue connector and another one with green connector. Which one should i choose? Should i change to the correct type if i bought wrong patch cord? The correct type of fibre patch cord is SC/APC with green connectors. Blue connectors fibre patch cord is called SC/UPC or SC/PC. It will cause more than 10 db signal loss in some cases. The acceptable loss level for OpenNet infrastructure is 25-30 db depending on area. Most of the houses will experience 16 - 21 db if use SC/APC type of patch cord (normal setting). If SC/UPC patch cord is used, the signal loss will shoot up to higher level. This is the reason why some could still access to their broadband services despite of using SC/UPC patch cord but some could not.
  3. Ok, I think it's quite similar in my case too. Can act as a privacy partition leh, to prevent ppl outside from getting a full view of where we are at the sofa area
  4. Hey bro, I got this from cabletree. 8 metres at $40.There's another site you can buy http://www.delonfibre.com/de-online-shop.html
  5. Hi cookiegal, the patch cord will be installed inside the trunking provided by the electrician. This armoured cord is 10 times stronger then the usual yellow color one. It has steel wire inside to protect the fiber and it is highly bendable.
  6. Hi welcome and looking forward to more photos when your reno start. Btw, unit looks big. Is this ea or? Must be quite expensive also cos of the location
  7. Hi June, may I know r there different size available for the daiso wooden planks?
  8. Hey thanks, somehow I managed to find his fb page yesterday and asked him today abt diamond clock. I then saw the clock picture u posted earlier with some mosaic tiles behind which was similar to other clock pictures he sent me. So I guessed u got it from him
  9. Ok, i was in the same situation as you. So instead of spending so much to relocate the point, i simply buy a fiber patch cord cable to have it run from the TP to where my ONT will be. I posted the cable i bought yesterday. You can consider that.
  10. That's the wealth point for this hse!! Do not hack there!!
  11. Do you mean there's a terminal point installed already in the hse and you wanna do a relocation?
  12. there r times we acted like baby boys..don't you find that cute? hahah
  13. LOL! nice find! Very funny on how he insisted to get it into the hse even though you disapprove it..haha
  14. Hi khng, the depth if I remembered correctly is 40cm. Initially was proposed at 45cm and I thought it was too deep.
  15. Yea I think so for new BTO. Mine is a resale and previous owner already installed the TP but on the wall opposite to where my tv console will be. So instead of relocating the TP which will cost abt 200+, I'll just run a longer fiber patch cord to the ONT in the console
  16. Tiling works has begun for bathrooms and dining wall over these 2 days. Well the tiles selected for the bathrooms were quite 'unusual' as you can see from the photos below. That was what I thought when my ids sent me the tiling photos today haha. They kinda gives some rustic raw feel ?!? Especially the cbr wall tiles on the left, which was selected by wifey lol..can't wait to see the end product! Waterproofing on going for the bathrooms floor. Craftstone on the dining wall. Grouting yet to complete This is the wall for the tv console. Cat6 LAN cables have also been lay from here to all 3 rooms. They will be completed with individual network port hidden in the console and connected to the ONT/router from the service provider which I subscribed. Collected this armored fiber patch cord cable today and will be passing to the electrician to run this cable from the TP into my tv console. Length is 8 metres, should be more than enough I hope!
  17. Nice! I used the same laminate for both my shoe cabinet and tv console
  18. For my case, was given a long list of items to buy and pray at the centre of the house and the 4 corners. Items like fruits which include pineapple, banana, apple, pear, orange, roast pork, rice wine, joss stick and candles, incense paper, peanuts, sweets, fa gao, beansprout, tofu...etc etc After praying, will have to burn the incense paper and then use a hammer to knock on a specific area for a specific number of times.. I think it depends on your religion also. different beliefs different practise
  19. greg, so sorry to hear about your situation and hope u get over them soon. thx for sharing those pictures hey redder, I didn't hack away my kitchen wall tiles due to budget and time constraint. Thus, I cement screed over existing tiles. If I get bored with the cement color after few yrs, can just paint them over . Maintenance wise, don't think too much. As long as not at the cooking area, ok for me. If you like it, just do it!
  20. Wow this is really unique! I don't think anyone will come out with this idea for their bathroom. Hats off to u!
  21. okie..someone gonna ask.. Pls post links for your purchase ?!?
