  8. just thought of this - our metal gate has a protruding handle. not sure how to DIY the magnetic insect screen on it. anyone saw others who have done it before can share?

  10. ah.. then must reply on the fellow renotalkers advice liao. i got a free one from samsung during their CNY promo. will have to use that till it spoils before buying another one. hehe.
  11. Quoted you so you can get a notification i updated on the insect screen Okay here's the summary of the comparison of the local suppliers. EDITED - to image because the copy and paste from excel doesn't work. I'm pretty bad with the calculation of cost per sq ft. So perhaps can use Magic Seal as a guide? for $12/sq ft, he mentioned its about $100 to $130 per panel of window for a new BTO. Anyway, for Magnetic Insect Screen, Magic Seal and Magnetic Screen, they all provide FOC onsite measurements and quotation. Not sure if i missed out any important info in the summary. Hope it helps whoever is keen in getting insect screen fixed For myself, I'm most likely either going with the first vendor or buying from taobao (which is even cheaper). Since both are DIY anyway...
  12. haha yup alfredt is right, they are magnets. there are other kinds too like what troublemaker shared. but i think the magnetic ones seem to be more popular in singapore..
