  1. Thanks for the conpliments but a lot of decision making came with eye for details in our ID:) We simply snap shots of items we like and dimensions and check with her that size and color scheme will fit well before going ahead to decide on the item. Well least all cept the office Herman Miller stuffs so her effort counts as well here.
  2. Ok la will still come back and see some Tblog been following and see your final look too
  3. Haha bro solid la this comment Well fine tuning means you have someone and something in mind so it's a good step forward already. Keep going..
  4. Furnishing Round 1: Today the dining table, tv console, work desk & office chair came in together with our master bed frame later in the evening. This leaves us with our sofa from Lush and bedside table from Scene Shang to go before the full mod is officially completed. But the unpacking of the remaining boxes have yet to begin.... Oh man... TV Console Nook & Cranny Dining Table & Bench Nook & Cranny Blends in well with the flooring but now we have to get another 2 chairs to complete the set. Work Desk & Office Chair Herman Miller (Xtra) Still tweaking the final position but this will do for now...
  5. Thanks and yes she has made the whole experience good. Her responsibility to her job and adherence to her own standards had made the project it is. Alot of small to medium issues that came up according to design suggestions she made but when the issues came up she settled them with no complaints from my end and often not adding them to the adjustments and variations to the original quote. For this we thank her lots. She was also willing to contact the outlets where I got my appliances to arrange for the service guys to come down while we were away. Our hood wasn't working when the electrician tried to connect it so she took initiative and arranged with the shop then later on Fujioh itself.
  6. Yes well thought out by our ID. Kudos to her. Really glad at how detailed she is with her work as she offered to check thru the electrical quote once again for the final billing after adjustments and save me some $$$ due to her eye for details. She did up extra tape for our LED strip lights too which lack adhesive. Thankful overall for the work she has done for us.
  7. Yes handover procedure today but some issues left to be attended to but nothing major. Furnishings now.
  8. Thanks but not just sweet home yet. Awaiting all my furnishings to come in and of course the dreaded unpacking of the boxes still left.
  9. haha I only have grey roofing beams to join this party. Exquisite taste again nextstep bro. Teka hob looks nice..
  10. All the best the longest meeting is out of the way. Fast hand fast legs from here.
  11. Not sure if I'm correct but I think s trap and p trap only allows the use of bigger WC and not physically changing the whole actual position of the whole WC itself. I think twinklecloud has intention to change the whole original position of the WC to another spot in the bathroom? Correct? If this is so then I do not think it's possible. But I may be wrong.
  12. Thank you for compliments. Can't wait for handover and moving in of furnishing... home sweet home not just there yet..
  13. Lighting Updates ID was over to oversee the installation of our staircase LED strip lights and woohoo it's like finally done. The last of the lot. Had to modify our bedside lights as well as we bought it from TB but the wires were too short so had to modify them longer and worst part is it cost more than the lights itself but didn't want to go through the whole hassle of changing design concept or hunt for new lights so took the pain and push on. The wiring of sockets and cable point for TV is also done along with the staircase completion itself...whew TV Console Sockets Neon Lights Staircase LED Strip Lights An issue with my fujioh cooking hood not working but ID took initiative to call Hoe Kee and Fujioh to arrange for a technician to come down and have a look as well so kudos to her for going that extra mile for us. Now for the final touch up and then handover and furnishing to come in and yay we have our home! Can't wait...
  14. Yup I'm reaching that stage soon and so far she has been very willing to rectify all issues raised which has been very nice to know and see it happening. whew.. Hiccups are bound to happen and can only hope for them to be small one versus the big ones(fingers crossed)
  15. Thanks for the vote of confidence. How was your handover bro? All smooth sailing?
  16. Congrats on the completion and moving in. Totally get the hassle of fixing issues when you have moved in because it's messy and if like yours painful cos the build in have to be tempered with to achieve a fix. But also cannot don't fix. Only can cross fingers that issues are nothing major. Good luck for the moving in and Hope all other parts of the job are good and sound.
  17. haha thanks for the vote of confidence. Decided to go local with the LED strip but still budget as we went with Chan Huat haha.
  18. Haha well least you have a hubby thats willing to spend so look on the bright side
  19. A Short Update Really thankful for an ID who is responsible and customer orientated as we are away this week and she gladly took on the role of coordinating all remaining touch up and work to complete the unit for us while we are away. We had a little boo boo last week as we got our ID to install a new main door but source a new main gate on our own and guess what?? After installation we cant close the main gate when the door is closed..sighz..worst nightmare. The lock sets are in the way of each other. Well our ID was kind enough to seek a solution for us and even helped to arrange with our gate company to come back and help us amend the gate position for us so the situation can be resolved. It is these value added service that allows us to overlook various small issues which made us upset at times which are part and parcel of all reno process I would guess. It's not her but her team of workers more so to say. So our staircase rails are finally up today: Apparently, the team mentioned they had their whole team wrecking their head over the design and build of this rail as the tilt in angle between the 1st flight and 2nd flight is the main cause for concern. But they did it albeit letting known the ID say very easy but actual design is much more difficult. So kudos to these guys for completing this feat as it's their 1st . Now for the LED strip lights to go under the rails and see the effect. Hope it turns out well...Fingers crossed. ID also converted the power socket box into the block boxes between the bars as our TV console will be situated in that area against the bars.
  20. Well I stayed in my previous for 7 years and did a full mod in that unit as well. I guess for ourselves we believe in going full mod if we will be buying a home for our own stay. Much against the practice of older gen but well it's us I guess. Of course I never wanted to leave hence we felt if we cannot get a good price we would rather stay put than uproot and re-do it all over again. So although we tried to cut down on the budget this time around it seems this time we busted our budget bigger than round 1 although both units are the same model. Sighz...This should be the last I'd hope.
  21. If I'm not wrong his ID 3D's are all hand drawn right So hence harder to email or whatsapp haha. If she still follows this practice.
  22. Definately the tricky one but based on personal experience of full mod for both homes it works both ways. Did the first thinking I'll stay in it for a long time before deciding to sell and move for easier commute to kids schools which will become a daily issue for over 10 years and more. But what we did was since we spent so much on the first we adopted a sell if the price is right with our original flat and we did get the price we wanted which was "above market rate" when we sold for the area we sold in. So I guess having a well done up place makes viewing of potential buyers better and think of possibilities with your home. Personally I've stepped into homes that are dark and gloomy and musky and even though the price is below but the feel the moment you stepped in was no longer about possibilities but how to make your way out in the fastest best way. So not sure if this thought helps. Also you will be living in his home for least 5 years so do you want to live in it comfortably or settle for what you think is ok and await 5 years. It's about decisions I guess.
  23. Not too sure if you are adamant in Toto but I do find their WC a little costly. Even the most basic ones are like 800-900$ a piece. Got the IXISS brand after reading some other Tbloggers comments and am very happy with what I've got so far and save lots of $$ too
  24. Thanks for dropping by my Tblog and the compliments. 1. I used Oops for assisted purchase and shipping. 2. I selected shipping for both shipments I've sent out but the 2nd one Oops seem to auto changed it to Air and it was cheaper as well and faster so no complaints from me 3. No 4. Surprisingly none at all. Perhaps bcos most of my purchases are from gold label sellers or actual brand Tmall shop itself on TB. Hope this helps.
