yokine9a, lolx. I got to admit that women are very hard to please cos they're more particular than guys on co-ordination. Think it boils down to the smallest details like what to wear what to match blah blah. But can understand cos its your first place ma. I also am like that with my place cos also my first place. My hubby is the type who can conveniently ignore minor details like other men as long as the finished product is all right & not that bad. Patrick is very helpful esp when we asked him on the colours for the doors, he even give us the ICI paint catalog and said we keep the catalog for the colour reference should we decide whether we want them to paint for us. My hubby even said for our next place next time if we ever move, we will get Ho Bee to do up the place, no doubt

lol, its really convenient on the go with a mobile broadband leh but not so convenient to lug a lappy everywhere with you esp when got to find plug switch just to charge the lappy.

Those jewellery types by BS or MUA are mostly costume jewellery with crystals. If in doubt, you can try those department stores like Chomel, Denni.. they have crystal accessories that come in a set if i am not wrong. Who will wear so expensive jewellery out unless want a robbery to take place? The only piece of real jewellery worn should be those shi dian thing given to you from your mother in law during tea ceremony right?Please correct me if I am wrong on this. If you have shimmering gowns with crystal details or other kind of details that add to your charms, don't need to wear alot of jewellery. Simplicity is good.

Hi Yuntlh, No ratings on dnalife as I didn't email or talk to them. I just did a rough estimation on their website going by ft size just for the cost alone. its not cheap also. Mine is about 5ft by 6ft, so its not a big one also. The quote will differ with the size, for eg do you want to extend to full pict or partial? In my case, im not extending to ceiling as based on the sample pic of my choice in wink website. Im doing a small partial pic which is below $800.. You can request for customised decals for what you have in mind?

Very nice shoes from anna nucci you have there! the round open toe looks elegant compared to square toe types but for BTBs whose feet cannot squeeze into round open toe shoes.. it can be a challenge to keep the feet in due to straps at the front, just like mine. Used to have a ex colleague who could simply walk around in 4-5 inch heels everyday at my former workplace & not get any cramp. She's slightly on the thin side & petite with killer calves prob due to those heels. I once asked her about her shoes and she say her feet very used to the height & arch so die die must wear or else if wear flat shoes, a bit painful.

Ironically, our experience with nova was hardly unpleasant. (Please do not mistake me for trying to praise Nova. Just putting my experience here)I didn't read this thread before we went down to tradehub21 there.We walk into Defu & Nova just for a comparison & to see if they got any nice shoe cabinet. The price range for the shoe cabinet is around 200 and above at both shops, however didn't see any suitable cabinet in white at Defu. So we went to Nova. The salesperson following customer part as described by CTN is more or less like what happened when we walked into Nova. The salesperson attending to us wasn't pushy or trying to sell us anything else since we stated we were just looking for shoe cabinet. Seemed a friendly & obliging guy to us despite the fact I am rather particular about furniture co-ordination so the shoe cabinet had to be just white to match. In the end we bought a shoe cabinet & sofabed from them. It was only after I read this thread that I worried that we might have problems with delivery & etc. I have to give them some credit for calling us beforehand to inform of delivery schedule as promised. When the delivery came through, the shoe cabinet door alignment was off the mark & there were a few marks on top also. Sofa bed came in good condition with the exception of air bubbles mark on the support frame(Think its the application of paint on the silver support frame) The delivery guys didn't take back the shoe cabinet although it is evident there was a problem with the door alignment & marks 'cos we must call nova to request a change of cabinet first. It took a week before they sent their carpentry guys to fix the problem. My only complaint is that the marks was just simply filled in with dark walnut marker. Only small consolation is that the top is covered with frosted glass so not so much of an issue. IMHO, paying a bit more for just a shoe cabinet to have marks filled in by marker is not really worth it completely if expecting furniture in NEW condition, no scratches or marks also. The carpentry guys did their best to fix the alignment of the doors though, so it was fixed after some adjustments several times here and there. At the very least, we didn't get any bad experience with Nova's sales people

No prob mafiawife, I didn't do much though, just share what I know. Actually I got my lighting from lightcraft instead of at JB 'cos decided that it would be faster to arrange for the delivery & settle installation. The cost for the lights were within budget since did not even exceed 1k thankfully. If you need contact for furniture & curtains, I can pass the contacts to you if you like. Summer well behaved? Aiyo, he's always doing things on purpose according to my hubby 'cos he understands summer best. So I got to be fierce and show him who's boss, when I beat summer with a clothes hanger, those thin wire one, summer will shiver & then go hide under the table. The way I describe it, sounds like me being the evil witch to a small lil defenceless doggie. Ranval, I go pyscho my hubby see if he want to go for 31st April, hurhur. LOL Greycat, I wish I can use the net at my co just like what you're doing hurhur. But my co blocked everything!! So no choice but to use at night instead. Hubby will be on reservist for 2 weeks & he wouldn't like me to go to a gathering on my own even with summer. He would worry 'cos first time meeting people I haven't even met, so have to wait for him to be off reservist & another outing to come up~ Actually I am very fierce to summer, Hubby more soft soft towards summer though he does smack summer at times. So even the slightest movement, I will scold summer then he very still during shower until he is let out.

Heh I worry about that another time when I have a kid. lol. I don't have a kid now so not an issue in the meantime. Speaking of heat, do you get this kinda "scorch" marks that appear after some time of using the hob? I have already. Trying to remove the scorch marks but cannot cos cannot use detergent or whatever, just wipe clean only with damp cloth followed by dry cloth.
