  1. Hey neighbour, something happened at our block and at our floor somemore! My hubby told me this morning that he saw a syringe and some bloodstains on the floor at the staircase landing & near the lift too while taking out the rubbish. Apparently this indian guy who was sitting at the staircase last night must have been a drug addict. To top it off, he caught a few teenage boys doing something else this afternoon This is not good leh, probably cos the block is not fully occupied yet and my floor still yet to have neighbours moving in. Think you'd better be careful at your block esp if your floor don't have any neighbours?
  2. Ranval: Thanks for the kind compliments! It's really hard work doing all the painting and very exhausting at one point that I told my hubby I didn't want to paint my next home if we ever move. keke It's all those endless cleaning up & endless painting, ie; touching up here and there till dunno when going to finish painting in the end. Oreo looks similar to my hubby's dog that I thought oreo is also a silky terrier as well. lol Yep both are very cheeky and hyperactive. Would play 'partners in crime' part very well
  3. No prob on that. At least we're very near a police station kekeke.
  4. Ranval: Pics of the current dog at my place is up in my blog.
  5. I'm sure there are better alternatives to hang your wedding frame elsewhere if not in the MBR. Must check the company credentials or else if the company sounds fishy, you run a higher chance of having this possibility that they could as well be holding duplicate keys as well. Better safe than sorry.
  6. Hmm the only way to let it drip is onto the floor since its all tiles right? Maybe you want to get those stick on hooks and stick them to the side of the cabinets and hang your pots/pans there? they'd just drip a bit on the tiles.
  7. 'Cos of our TO i suppose? Basically our defects were chipped kitchen tile, hollow tiles in common toilet, scratched vanity top in mbr toilet and the service duct door cannot lock properly. Just those few. The vanity top in MBR toilet took longer just to replace. Common toilet was hacked and retiled with new tiles FOC and new toilet bowl, sink cos some problem happen to the old ones in the process of dismantling, in the span of 2 days. Sad to say that the MBR toilet not even hacked and retiled also cos I dont like the colour pattern very much. LOL. Chipped kitchen tile was replaced instantly. I think only service duct lock haven't settle? Not sure cos I didn't check it. Repaint over the spray paint marks, not yet. But basically yes, major defects settled.
  8. Ah. Im also curious how your kitchen layout is going to be like on paper cos i saw the photos in your blog but it didnt give me enough visualisation for what to put in for more storage. Somemore top cabinets for your case.
  9. Greycat: For dog training, you can tune in to Arts Central channel every Wed at 9pm cos my hubby say got dog program designed to show how to train dogs properly with the right methods.
  10. Ah I see! Anyway not all my furniture came with scratches leh, only 1 or 2 & its considered really minor to the point that it is like as if there is no scratches in the first place. Small matter since the furniture shop was recommended through my relative who also bought furniture from them. Good sales service and delivery guys were also good too during the assembly and clearing the rubbish too before they left.
  11. Cantona is a real sotong then. LLhome: my hubby's dog doesn't jump up, it likes to go under the bed to sleep when its time for us to go to bed. Same for the sofa bed part when I or my hubby sitting or lying on it. Skywolf: Hmm just wondering, the space above the fridge have any top cabinet??? If don't have, can consider to install 'open' shelves for more storage besides the bar. Got a floor plan of your kitchen? Maybe can give you some ideas along the way
  12. LLhome : Serious about the lock part??? We didn't receive any visit from such a person yesterday. You better be careful though and did you check the guy's credentials? Anyway a nugget of info for you abt the wedding photo part. My mum say not good to hang it at the wall where bed head is against at. I don't know the exact reason but seems it is not lucky to put it there. We intend to hang ours by the wall which is opp the wall with the toilet door.
  13. Yup the phone now is the "buzz" for us now also Anyway the recordable doorbells is so ex. somemore in USD. Well, My TO is a nice uncle(according to my hubby lor) whom I've never met before. Only my hubby did and he was doing the main talking to the contractors & TO. Basically the contractors who came to look at the defects with us then, went through everything with us on the defects. Basically we'd didn't have any problem with the contractors in question except that the the workers changing the toilet bowl & sink for common toilet anyhow smoke and throw the cig butt onto the kitchen base. We didn't pursue the issue since they already rectify all the defects. Left is paint work outside the house cos of spray paint work(on the wall beside main door)by the guy HDB hired to varnish the main door
  14. Lolx, when I manage to go back to my parent's place to take a candid pic of my dog. As for dognapping, hard then cos its with my parents, not with me.
  15. I suppose that transport wise for yours, it was a piece of furniture sent across while mine was like several pieces of furniture hence the custom handling. Must be the strict check for any suspicious items
  16. Wow, power leh, even your TO also give apology and BSC got to submit report?
  17. That's good to hear! Did your tv console come with any minor scratches too? I thought your T-5 is white from the pic cos looks bright
  18. We see hurhur since I never promise not to pet-nap your pet when you have a pet Only white? Sounds like a very rare type of persian cat
  19. LOL actually at my parent's home, its electric powered I think since I've never seen anyone change any battery for it also. So all the while Im under the impression its mostly electric powered for most homes . Applefreak, if no need for buzzer, just cut the wires hee hee
  20. Ah most flats that come as it is in after handover by HDB right? Actually what I think is that the HDB contractors prob didn't even the walls enough with plastering? That is what it is like with my place after handover by HDB (Key collection date)
  21. Thanks! Just wondering which type of door bell you getting? Electric or battery powered? Btw I've not heard of battery powered doorbell type before.
  22. Skywolf: LOL Maybe I pet-nap your pet whichever comes first, a dog or a cat when you get one Applefreak: I didn't know persian cats are also called chinchilla
  23. Just wondering if the effect would be nicer with warm yellow lights, ie; when off the main lights in living room, the T-5 light behind will give a greater effect in warm yellow light since colour tone will set off better against the wall in the dark? Now then see your nice tv console up! hehe, so how's the tv console serving you now?
