  1. For my case, I got my Legrand switches from Choo Chiang as well, then I get my contractor to replace the switches for the whole place for less than $200/-. Your ID v bad
  2. Am using Hafale hinges and Blum drawer tracks for my kitchen carpentry, and I have to top-up some cash.
  3. Fully agreed with u Ho Bee was definitely not the cheapest quote among the 5 quotes I had sourced. At least for the extra $$$ I paid.. I get a peace of mind knowing that Patrick will not "run away" half way thru the renovations and doing things the way I want it. During the entire reno process, I changed my mind abt some things and then add abit of stuff here & there. Patrick was quite accomodating, adjusting the quote accordingly. At the end of the day, the final quote did not stray from the original quote despite the revisions. I admitted that there were minor problems popping up too but which reno works doesn't? Be'cos Patrick is easy to talk to, things resolve amicably and quickly and often without me having to pay extra costs. Plus, my opinion is that when you haggled too much for the "best deal", you might not be getting value-for-money after you have signed on the dotted line and may even invite reno woes after that... U may just end up penny wise but pound foolish...
  4. We got the Serta Wisconsin bed as well... As for the quality, before we bought the bed, we tested it and didn't want to get out of it after lying on it. So, we bought it in the end.
  5. My premium flat was recently renovated by Ho Bee and yes, he quoted me $580/- to re-varnish my timber flooring too. My suggestion is that you think twice about not varnishing the flooring 'cos after all the renovation works are done, the timber flooring was so dusty, grainy and rough. Ho Bee's quote including sanding down the flooring and its skirting and cleaning it up before coating it in semi-gloss varnish. It's alot of work really.. As for chemical washing, I had Ho Bee to wash 2 times.. once after all carpentry, electrical and 1 round of painting works are completed, the 2nd round is after the accessories and final coat of painting are up. Makes our cleaning works easier and not to mention that we are one of the very few occupiers at Atrina and the fact that the HDB construction works are still going on in our estate.
  6. I agree with the no pretty 3D drawings comment.. However the drawings produced by Ah Keong is quite good that even without 3D drawings, I can still imagine how my wardrobes and kitchen cabinet is going be like. As for the badmouthing, that kid should move on with his life...
  7. OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer..... not pirated lah Bellari's products are just one of them, in my opinion. What they probably did was to get the sink and paste their label on loh... I got my sink, which look EXACTLY like the Bellari Royalfit Cipra at $200++ including the soap dispenser leh.. so I got the design and size I want at a cheaper price.
  8. Rinnai website promo is $1,226/- before GST. I got the package at $1,100 nett.
  9. I got my Rinnai hob RB-3SS + hood RH-995CT and the Bellari OEM sink from Royal Fanco which is a couple of doors down from Bellari. Do check it out.
  10. Like you, I also had a little black notebook with me as I strolled down Balestier Rd, noting down the product codes and designs of the lighting I liked. I visited Chan Huat where they had a good but expensive selections of crystal chandeliers and hanging lights. However I finally made most of my lighting purchases at Pan Tech Light Trading at Jurong East. Overall I had a good bargain especially on the PLC downlights which is selling for $28/- each. While you are at Jurong East, you can also visit Chelsea Lighting which about 2 doors away from Pan Tech. But I chose to purchase from Pan Tech after comparing prices between the 2 shops. Most of the lighting found at Balestier can be found at these 2 shops as well. Meanwhile I am still searching for reasonably priced crystal chandelier for my living room. Lobangs, anyone?
  11. Strongly agree... am using purple for the master bedroom as well.
